Known for sincerely elegant services, beautiful interiors and incredible F&B, the CHEDI KATARA resort is the byword for a luxurious stay. Absolutely a luxurious resort with outstanding services and very friendly and helpful staff. The resort has an excellent location in the beautiful Katara area, providing easy access to several dining options and various entertainments, in Qatar, a country renowned for its warm hospitality and commitment to excellence.
The hotel has a unique design with beautiful lobby area and an astonishing swimming pools. Also the hotel has a good size beautiful beach area with nice views, as well as various water activities and sports.
The rooms are very large in size with very luxurious touches and signature furniture. Some rooms are with direct access to the pools and beach, featuring a unique experience and provides excitement to the families. Views towards the Arabian Gulf are spectacular. The bathroom is very large and very well articulated. Breakfast is also excellent with many selections and varieties.
The overall experience was superb and the resort management works very hard to ensure full customers’ satisfaction and I had conveyed some minor notes that need some attention.
Special thanks go to all staff, and particularly to Mr. Mohamed Sameh for his distinguished attention and help.

I went to Doha for business tip at end of Augest, after 2 days busy meeting, I move to this hotel. Although it's just 1 night, but this experience let me feel like holiday. I stay in the villa and there is a small pool in the garden. The bed set up looks like for honeymoon couple. A Huge welcome fruit and sweets platter in my room. And I went to spa have a relaxe time, The therapist told me she from Bali. The treatment is really helpful. After that I have a delicious dinner with great view in Marsa restaurant. Next morning I also had great breakfast. I told staff their room card cover is quiet nice when I check out, the reception staff said I can keep it as a souvenir. BTW, this hotel is very generously, there 2 set Acqua of Parma in the bath room.

The hotel itself is stunning, smells incredible and is spotlessly clean. However, it's not quite upto 5* service.
We booked a club room from an external travel agent only to find out at check in that the club lounge isn't available as advertised. No deposit was taken at check in which we thought was odd but thought maybe they just ask to settle the bill at the end.
The room itself was spacious and beautifully curated, although not enough storage space and the hot water wasn't hot enough for my personal preference. Some of the glassware wasn't clean and some of the plugs don't work, the iron made my clothes wet and the curtains don't stay fully closed so no chance for a lay in.
The pool area is stunning but unless you manage to reserve a cabana of which there are only 7 at the adult pool, you are subjected to the blazing sun without umbrellas for shade or a table. When I asked for one of the umbrellas from the empty restaurant the manager said it wasn't possible so I sat with a towel covering my head until he realised how silly that was and wheeled one over from across the patio. We ordered drinks from the beach restaurant but couldn't charge them to the room and had nothing with us to pay for them at the poolside..ended up having a very uncomfortable conversation with the manager again and had to return to the room to get money to pay for 2 coffees.
Monday is ladies day for locals for free but the hotel doesn't cater for all the people that come..why risk upsetting paying customers to advertise your hotel if you don't have enough sunbeds or towels for everyone?!
The poor lifeguard at the pool is overworked as he is the only point of contact for anyone..not enough staff for service. But thank you Alex for always trying to accommodate us.
After visiting the (amazing!!!) Four Seasons last week, the Chedi left a bitter aftertaste for me..whilst being aesthetically beautiful, the staff need training on communication and service, the hotel need to concentrate on providing a personal touch service which is it what customers book a boutique hotel for. Would I return to the Chedi? Probably not..there's better hotels in Doha that go the extra mile to make customers feel special.

It was the best experience I have ever experienced among all the hotels I have visited so far. All the staff were accommodating from security, receptionists, up to their room service staff. It was indeed an amazing experience. Everything was great especially the interior design of the hotel! We enjoyed the restaurant, gym, and the swimming pool. You have to see the swimming pool area at night it’s absolutely relaxing. Chedi Katara you exceeded beyond our expectations. We will definitely come back and tell our friends about this amazing experience. What a wonderful place, what a location and what a squisite food. Marsa Katara is a must to visit in Doha, to have dinner a brunch or just even a drink with your friends or your liver in an amazing place whose atmosphere is one of a kind. To sum it up in a sentence, we were offered a lovely room with gorgeous interiors, the bed is so so comfortable, and we experienced great hospitality from the whole team (Front Desk, HouseKeeping, Bell Boys, Spa team, The Cigar lounge and the Restaurant & Pool/ Beach team), a big thank you to Narayan for being helpful.
The pool & view is amazing!
The dining experience was superb! So a thank you to the Chefs working hard in the BOH. However, one small comment, the menu prices are quite high for the items being served, I believe that would be something to review & re consider. Also to grow the FOH team, as it does get quite busy in the mornings especially.
A special mention & huge thank you to Mr. Boughzala for organizing such a calm & relaxed weekend get away, even though the hotel was so busy, he made sure everything was streamlined & just perfect!!

The buffet night was truly outstanding, featuring a splendid array of meticulously crafted sushi selections. Gary's service was top-notch—he was attentive and accommodating, making our evening truly special. This was our first trip to Doha, we loved it. The Chedi was a lovely surprise, the rooms are beautiful with amazing views, the bed felt like sleeping in a marshmallow, such a great night sleep. The food in the Restaurant was really good, please try the Pomelo/prawn salad, Maria at the restaurant was so welcoming, great with local advice and we just really enjoyed our daily interaction with her. Although it was really hot spending the day at the pool was perfect, Michelle and her lifeguards at the pool made sure everyday that we a constant supply of iced water (free). The pool is chilled and a great temperature, most mornign we had the whole pool to ourselves until lunchtime which was amazing. Michelle also made sure that she reserved our beds and put up umbrellas for us, she is a real asset to the hotel and made our stay very special. On a negative note the restaurant La Marsa which has a fantastic setting but was a bit of a disappointment in the service (not great) and the food (average). The hotel is well situated to get around the city and there is an option to get a golf buggy to the local mall and the metro station, the buggy driver (from Ghana) was also super friendly and gave us a great tour of the resort. Doha its self felt very very safe and has a calmness about it. The malls are the best i've ever been in and not at all busy and getting around the city is so easy. The Metro which is about £1.20 for an all day pass, super clean, quick and very modern. the cultural side of things is amazing, the souks and the museums are wonderful. There are even outside air conditioned areas which although not great for the environment were a very welcome asset on some of the hotter evenings. I would definitely recommend as a much calmer and less touristy alternative to Dubai

Most beautiful hotel I have ever been to! Starting off with the rooms: clean, organized, the aesthetics were amazing. Every single detail in the room matched up. We were provided with top quality bath products, linen, coffee etc. You could tell the rooms were maintained very well. The pool was amazing. My baby did not want to get out of the water. The staff: so warm and welcoming from the moment we walked through the doors. The staff welcomed us with such positivity. The girl that checked us in was so kind and accommodating. Huge shout out to Amal always being there and making my birthday memorable. She is always smiling and so caring. There was a chef who came to our table and sang to our baby and checked up on us. It was so cute. Thank you to the hotel and the staff really made our stay in Doha more pleasurable. I felt so comfortable. This is a true definition of a luxury hotel. We are definitely going to go back in the future and will be recommending this place as a top stay in Doha.
