While returning from Mumbai India we opted for the Movenpick hotel as our quarantine hotel. The hotel rooms are lush and well kept. Though old in the city the hotel has made a upkeep with its service and hospitality. During the quarantine period we were served with wholesome meals three times a day and the hotel staff were courteous to pamper us with our request at any time of the day. Hemant from the floor service was exceptional he helped us a lot by advising us on what to eat and kept our mood joyous he was also upfront in attending to any needs that we would come up with. The Chef Ravindra who also hails from Uttarakhand made yummy food. We owe him special thanks as our ten days of quarantine were a bliss with the variety of munching options laid down by his ideas. Special thanks once again. Over all the entire staff is fabulous and surely pray for their well-being and happiness. The hotel rooms are plush with a beautiful tub to start with and a king bed which invites you to lay cozy even May it be a 15 day quarantine. The rooms even though smokers friendly don’t smell. The carpets are well kept. The washroom is admirable too . May sound a bit odd but when you wanna kill quarantine time you spend it anywhere . The hotel has a bar and you can order your sips to your room and have a good time . The rooms have a 55” smart TV make sure you carry your laptop or chrome cast as the wifi casting is kept disabled. (The hotel IT staff comes to aid if need arises)There is free wifi available which had been of much use during this long quarantine period. Over all what I have heard from other traveler and their experience with quarantine at other hotels I feel happy about my choice being the Movenpick for sure. Kudos to the team . Thank you again

Stayed at this hotel recently. Disappointed as the pool was in the shade from 10 am every day, no one using it after mid morning. We had a non smoking room, every night after mid night we could smell smoke for a few hours, told reception but they said the whole floor was non smoking, we thought it was coming through the vents. We chose this hotel as it also had a bar but this didn’t open until 5pm , it was dark , with 5 TVs + a huge screen, all with sport on, not relaxing at all. Out side was a building site, roads dug up , with no pavement in some areas, also many new buildings being built, very noisy from 5.30am. From 2 ladies travelling

The location of the hotel is very convenient next to Doha Sea line (Corniche). Unlike other Quarantine hotels, this one has very spacious and cozy rooms which make the stay very comfortable. I was under mandatory quarantine at this hotel for 7 days and I was accommodated in a very comfortable room. The food options are fixed in quarantine packages & being a vegetarian did not leave me with a lot of choice, despite that, the staff went out of their way to ensure I was given a choice of meals. A special thanks to Mr. Paul & Ms. Annabelle for ensuring that I was kept well fed throughout my stay.

There was a summer discount through the "Entertainer App" for 1 night with half board for a good price. We expected a 4-star hotel but the service wasn't of a 4-star level. I'll just make some points below for easy understanding:
*No Valet Parking, but the security personnel was kind enough to help. * The room was prepared for a single guest even 2 person info was included in the booking. * They mixed up the dinner orders, did not receive what was ordered, the food quality/taste was not up to the mark. * They mixed up the breakfast orders, did not receive what was ordered, got weird tasting scrambled eggs even though shakshouka was ordered. *Coffee (Americano) was requested with breakfast but was not provided, even after calling the dine-in service 4 times in the span of 1 hour, they failed to deliver 1 coffee. *Water was not clean, there was mud/sand in the water which came from the shower, seems like have to clean their water tanks.
As of now, I would not recommend this place to anyone.

I booked this hotel for a 20 hour stay between connecting flights, I found this hotel on booking.com and chose it due to its location and amenities including the pool. What the hotel fail to advertise is that it is actually situated in the middle of a building site with construction going on around the hotel. I arrived to be put in a room right next to a main highway, the windows didn't stop the noise of the traffic and I couldn't sleep (it was the morning). I was moved rooms however, this put me closer to the construction site, the room hadn't been cleaned well either. After several complaints, it took staff over two hours to move me to a better room and by better, the construction noise could still be heard. I contacted booking.com to be asked to be moved hotels but given the short amount of time I was there there was little point. I was told the pool was open until 6pm but before using it asked for directions towards some of the sights. The hotel offered to drop me up the road (5 minute drive) which I accepted, on my return I asked to use the pool but was told it had closed due to sand from the construction site going into the pool and it needed to be cleaned but wouldn't be re-opened! I used the restaurant later as I had booked the half board package, this is the single thing good about the hotel, the food I got was enough for three people over and the chicken tikka masala was unreal. Upon checking out I informed the staff I would be raising a dispute for a part refund, in dispute they stated they had offered me a free taxi ride up the road as compensation. Completely flabbergasted me, I would not visit the hotel in its current state.

We are folk dance group from Lithuania came here to Qatar, Doha for the dance festival. We were staying at this briliant hotel. Me and my friends are still stunned by absolutely perfect service of all the staf. First we came here, we was met by helpful consierges, they take a good care of ours luggages. In reception we received all information we need. The room keepers are very pleasant, everytime you meet them, they offer you a botlle of water and asks haow was your day or how do you sleep. It is nothing but nice. The last but not least the restaurant's staf. Chefs making excelent food, waiters always ready to help you and Mary Joy's smile charge you up a good mood for all day. We glad we stayed here and thanks for awesome exparience and visit at your hotel

The hospitality is great! Mark at the reception and Arjun in the room service were super helpful.
The swimming pool was pretty cold for me (19 degrees), especially since it is winter now, temperature control would have been helpful.
The location is a few minutes walk from the National Museum, and the metro there connects to much of the city. A few minutes drive from the business districts. Overall was a good experience.

When we enter the restaurant we saw 2 waiters preparing the balloons. It took them a moment to assist us on our table and we immediately noticed that it was too dark on the table so we requested the waiters to turn the light on the food since we cannot see the food we are getting and eating! Until.we finish the light wasnot open.I also informed the waiter and the manager that the rice in the maki is very hard to eat! Doesnt look fresh! And the serving dishes is a big disappointment, i have to open the very heavy top cover that might slide and can be dangerous at all everytime i will get some food!!!! And i have to call the attention of the manager to get me a big pasta fork since they put their a big spoon. Overall the food is not good, the team.is not prepared for this kind of event. Very disappointing. I will not recommend this restaurant..

I spent the last weekend there with my family. In spite of being fully booked, Mr. Jahangir Ali the Assistant reservation Manager did everything he could in order to facilitate our stay from choosing connected rooms for the kids, giving us special rates and complimentary breakfast.
The precautionary procedures, cleanliness and the welcoming and supportive staff were clear as soon as we arrived. The family suits are huge, spacious, clean and the hotel provides everything the guests need in order to make sure that they enjoy every single minute. Thanks Movenpick Doha

This hotel is fantastic because of its location and more so it’s fantastic staff who go out of their way to make you feel part of Movenpick and Qatar. We are from U.K. and could not believe how much we enjoyed Qatar a hidden gem for us we will definitely return. I took my son age 17, he wants to work and live out there in the future. We could not fault Qatar, we have been to Dubai and also liked that but Qatar museums, the Souk Waqif, the desert trips and the fab welcome made a perfect holiday. Thankyou to all at the Movenpick for making our trip so special, especially the managers and the lovely young girl and man on the lounge cafe, brighten your day.
