This was a Qatar Airways Stopover for 4 days. The Souq Waqif Boutique Hotels comprises of 8 Boutique Hotels in separate locations in Souq Waqif, all within a relatively short walking distance of each other. My stay was at Najd Boutique Hotel which is directly opposite the Al Mirqab Boutique Hotel.
Breakfast was served at Al Bidda Boutique Hotel which is less than a 5 minute walk away, golf buggy transport is available if required. The breakfast at Al Bidda was a perfect start to the day, with a very good buffet breakfast. For the use of a swimming pool, this was available at the Al Mirqab, which also served as the reception desk for the Al Njad. The Souq Waqif is the perfect location for walking to the National Museum of Qatar (20 minutes), the Museum of Islamic Art (15 minutes) and the Corniche (10 minutes).
There are plenty of good quality restaurants and coffee shops in the Souq Waqif area. The entrance to the Souq Waqif Metro station is only a very short walk from Al Najd. Special thanks to Ala Uddin at the reception at Al Mirqab for his help and assistance.

Stayed at Souq Waqif Hotel’s Al Biddah Hotel for 3 nights in December and had a great stay.

Location
The location was also bang in the heart of the Souk with lots of places to eat, drink and shop nearby. Taxis were also plentiful and cheap.

Hotel Overview
The design of all the chains hotels was very good and all were well located within walking distance of each other (although the hotels offer golf buggies to transfer staff and guests between hotels). There were lots of staff about to assist if needed and reception areas were comfortable.

Staff
All staff we came across were very knowledgable, helpful and friendly with the breakfast room staff (at the door, wait staff and chefs) being especially helpful.

Rooms
Rooms were of a good size, clean and comfortable with a large bathroom and were nicely decorated with a seating area as well as the usual room amenities but no balcony (although we weren’t that bothered by not having one) The TV had lots of international channels, the bed was very comfy and my friend said it was peaceful and quiet during the night.

Breakfast
Breakfast was served in a large airy breakfast room in the Al Biddah Hotel and all staff were friendly and helpful. The selection was large with a wide choice of different foods (loved the shakshuka and the halloumi which the chef also kindly fried for me) and was replenished on a regular basis. The only thing I would say is that I would have preferred a few more fish options such as smoked salmon, haddock etc.

Miscellaneous
The hotel offers a short free tour of the souk every evening which we thought was a nice touch. We did the tour on one evening and the guide was friendly and informative and took us to the falcon and spice souks as well as showing us the horses and camels amongst other things.

Overall
Would recommend this hotel/hotel chain to anybody visiting Doha due to its convenient location near the souk/other central sights and attractions as well as the reasonable price we paid which included breakfast. Would definitely stay here again when visiting Doha.

We stayed here two nights on our way back home and enjoyed our stay very much, stayed in Al Jomrok. The location is excellent as you are right in the souq and have easy access to taking cabs/ubers to many other places of interest. The breakfast (if you choose to eat there) is just a few minutes walk away and served excellent food. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There are a ton of restaurants within a few minutes walk of the hotel as well as cafes. You do not have to go far, which we loved when we went out for dinner. The only negative was that there were no real windows in our bed, they were fake. We were first offered a bigger room on the first floor at one of the other hotels, which was a smoking room so we said no. We didn't know they had smoking rooms so make sure you ask if you get a room on the first floor. The second day housekeeping didn't come until around 17:00 so we told them it was not necessary, not a big deal for us but maybe for others.

By the management of Souq Wakif Hotels, run by the Portuguese company Tivoli, I was offered an airport transfer for 150 QAR. I came here by regular taxi for 50 QAR (with tip) and was dropped off at the hotel Arumaila, where I was given a simple map of Souq Wakif with its 9 boutique hotels. A golf cart then brought me to the hotel Al Marqib for check-in at the hotel just opposite, the Najd, a very beautiful hotel with just 17 roooms, giving a wonderful traditional Arab style atmosphere in its interior design.

The booked Deluxe Room was like a small suite with a bed- and separate living room in a corner, and there was nothing one could miss. The bathroom, all marble, was great too. I was perfectly happy in there, and enjoyed the room being serviced quickly and in the best way.

What bothered me at night though was the traffic noise from the quite busy Ali Bin Abdullah Street just below. A better window soundproofing could help in this matter. As I saw, when walking past all the 9 boutique hotels, 3 of them are facing partly this street: Al Marqib, Al Najd, Al Najara, and thus must have this problem.

Breakfast (included in the rate) at the Lebanese restaurant 'Al Terrace' of the hotel 'Al Marqib' just opposite was excellent with friendly staff, even remembering one's name on the following days and with a great choice of items. Coffee any style one liked (very good) was brought to the table.

A strange set up, Tivoli hotels Souk Waqif deal via Qatar airways. We booked two nights on their deal, about £45 per night for a 4* hotel, but then you don't really know which of the Souk Waqif hotels you will be placed in. For two nights and mostly good reviews it didn't really matter as we wanted to be near the Souk and other attractions by day and certainly pleased to be near the very pleasant street full of restaurants for meals in the evenings.
Our taxi driver from the airport, a pleasant chatty person from Eritrea knew exactly where to take us, check in being at their hotel Arumaila. We arrived at reception a very early 06.30. Our request for early check in had previously been confirmed and a room was ready, We were then taken the 200 metres by golf cart to the Musheireb ( not to be confused with a hotel of a similar name a few miles away )
There is a small reception there but it is never manned except by security at night. Our room was a good size, well decorated with a view straight towards the West Bay skyline. TV, safe, tea and coffee facilities, good WiFi and a/c. Breakfast wasn't included but available for 59R per person at another Souk Waqif hotel 100 metres away. That was a good standard buffet arrangement, fruit juice, cereals, fruit, egg station, cheeses, hams, bacon, etc cereals, fruit, egg station, cheeses, hams, bacon, etc with several Asian hot dishes. On the occasions of calling reception, for baggage collection on check out and fixing a tv fault for an important sporting match, they were excellently efficient and professional. Overall a great stay in accommodation and with service above what was expected.

Stayed for one night at the Al Bidda Hotel on our way to India and we were very impressed with the level of service fro initial email enquiries to checkout.
On arrival by Metro in the Souq we were approached by a young man offering to assist us as we were checking our map to find the location for check-in, it turned out it was an employee of the Boutique hotel group who kindly took us by golfbuggy to the check in desk where we were met by the lovely Jennifer at front desk.
We were kindly upgraded to a Deluxe room which was conveniently located within walking distance of the Souq and the museums.
We enjoyed our short stay and especially the informative Souq tour with Abubakar, what an entertaining guide.
On return to our room we discovered it had been beautifully decorated for our upcoming Anniversary and we were even presented with a delicious and beautifully decorated chocolate cake.
We had a short but pleasant stay with an interesting insight into the Qatari culture and amazing hospitality and would return happily if our travels took us back to Doha.

This is our second time staying at the Tivoli Hotel Group. Each time we have stayed at the Arumaila and both times it was excellent.
The staff are attentive and engaging, offering suggestions, getting a taxi, and answering cultural questions. Each time was a fabulous experience.
The only glitch was the housekeeping service. We let them know we didn't need turn down or bed changes each day and it seemed that also meant they didn't check towels usage/replacement. That we could have used.
Other than that there were no problems. We will certainly stay here again when we return.

Our recent visit and stay at Najd Hotel @Souq Waqf Boutique Hotel was a memorable one. Booked there to celebrate my wife's birthday and it turned out to be an experience in itself. The arrangements to greet us, welcome us, guide us and to make us feel very comfortable was simply professional & unforgettable.
Having a break in recent times is typical especially with the family as we have to take utmost care of hygiene and safety. I feel it was very well taken care of in the hotel and all health/safety protocols were covered. Kudos to the management.
To our surprise, our two connecting rooms (#7116,#7117) were decorated with the birthday theme and and kids were kind of wow when they entered. On my inquiry, I found out that the F&B Manager, Mr. S. Kumar, had been generous enough to get all the birthday amenities inside the room to make our celebrations & stay a memorable one.
Had a chance to thank him personally next day at the breakfast lounge. In fact the breakfast was an experience in itself with two superbly talented servers, Krishna & Jithendra, taking care of our table. The service was prompt and breakfast was served with love and affection (in the absence of buffet's these days).
Overall, I recommend this hotel to any traveler or any local to go there and relax. Leave the rest to SWBH employees to make you comfortable.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hotel Al Mirqab, one of nine Tivoli hotels located in the Souq area. On our first evening we took advantage of a Hotel-guided tour of the Souq and the Tivoli associated hotels. The friendly, informed guide escorted our small group of four through the bustling Souq, locating the falcon Souq, Horse Stables and camel enclosure, as well as briefing us on the local area and its attractions. It was a much appreciated start to the stay, as was the knowledge that there were chauffeured driven small electric vehicles between the different Tivoli hotels.
Throughout our stay we found the staff friendly and helpful. The hotel’s buffet breakfast was extensive and service was quick and efficient. We also enjoyed eating at the La Terrace Lebanese restaurant: most evenings there was a group of musicians playing too.
Occasionally during the day we sat under the terrace veranda ‘people-watching’or enjoyed the quiet privacy around the swimming pool. We also took advantage of the many and varied comfortable lounge areas.
As a Souq hotel there is immediate access to the bustling streets of shops, cafes and restaurants. The Corniche is only a short walk away. The recently opened modern Metro is within easy walking distance of the hotel and gives cheap access to many cultural and tourist attractions.

The Boutique Hotels at the Souq encompass 8 or 9 different ones- we stayed at Al Mirqab and would definitely stay again. We live in Doha but it really felt like a holiday to stay in the centre of the Souq, able to stroll to cafes and restaurants or just watch the world go by from the beautiful cool terrace at the front of the hotel. Breakfast was served at a nearby hotel, we took the offered golf cart which only took a few minutes. Breakfast was generous, a choice between Arabic or Continental with good coffee, fresh juices and the best croissants I've had. The rooms were beautifully clean with nice bathroom products and soft towels. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. All the staff were personable, polite and helpful.I unfortunately don't remember all their names but Haroon at the front desk helped me to charge my phone when asked and kindly arranged for us to check out a bit later than usual because we didn't want to leave! The pool was clean and private, we enjoyed relaxing there on the roof, the water was warm and pleasant to swim in, with clean towels provided. The only tiny issue was the noise coming from the roadworks nearby, which is not unusual in Doha, but it didn't detract from our relaxing stay, which I would like to point out was a good rate as part of an offer for Healthcare workers. Thank you very much to all the staff for our great break in the Souq.
