We (husband and I in a 16-person group) stayed here for two days at the start and two at the end of our trip to Syria. On the first stay we had a grubby, tatty-looking 2nd-floor room, small and depressing. Arrived at midnight to find no bottled water in the room; had to summon room service who took 30 minutes...

We with our friends could stay only one night on way to Aleppo during first week of August 2010. Location was central but noisy near local market area. Double rooms were small. Air conditioner was not working. Tecnichian came but could not help. Staffs were helpful. Breakfast was minimal.

DIH should not be advertised as 4-star or even 2. It was rather run down when we were there, the room was terribly small, noisy (with the construction nearby) although clean enough (we moved to a suite and paid USD100 per night extra). Lhe two lifts did not feel safe at all, shuddering when the doors closed. The dining hall...

Very simple hotel by the price. Bad value for your money. Central but noise place. Bad service at restaurant and front desk. Few options of meal during dinner / breakfast (basic arabic meal) and expensive bottle of water. There are better options in this city to this category of hotel, like Fardos Hotel (in Fardos St). I do not recommend...

I stayed here last year as part of a tour of a Syria. The location is very close to the old city but that it is really its main redeeming feature. It has an awkward entrance, down a dirty alley and the reception area is nothing for what was boasted to be a 4 star hotel. The rooms were very small...

This is the only hotel in Syria that we were disappointed with. The receptionists were outright unfriendly and unhelpful, not just one of them, but each one that we had to deal with. The room was dated and not somewhere that I'd like to spend more time than necessary. My last complaint was breakfast....it was basic to the extreme. The...

In terms of location, this is quite well-placed for visiting many sites on foot. The staff, especially the restaurant staff, were very good. Our concern was with the safety of the building itself - it did not appear to have any means of escape in the event of fire. There is a single staircase leading to the lobby - no...
