The service is impeccable from the front of house. We felt very taken care of by Petrocelli . She was very accommodating and very attentive , petrocelli went beyond the extra mile to support our needs. Delicious food, fabulous views and welcoming ambience, Will be telling all my friends and will certainly be back to visit soon
The Intercon is around 40 years old and it lacks the chrome and glass facade recent hotel builds. However, its ethos of great customer service compensates. Our room was clean, in good decorative order and was very comfortable. The interior design is a little dated, with dark woods prominent, but it looks and feels classy. We booked a Club Intercontinental room, which included breakfast, afternoon tea and cocktails in the 18th floor lounge. The staff there (Shiela, Mathai, Ahmed, Askander and Vince) were really welcoming and looked after us really well. The food and beverage offer was first class. The hotel has a pool deck on the 3rd floor, which is really nice and also the Bayshore Club, across the marina, which has pools and a sandy beach, bars and a spa. The Bayshore gets very busy and could be noisy with music playing and jet skis driving past. The hotel is in a nice location, being near the Emirates Palace, the Founder's memorial and the Corniche, with good views over the marina or park. Newer attractions (Louvre, Grand Mosque, Yas Island) are 30-40 minutes away by taxi, which was a hassle having to draw cash from ATMs to cover. My suggestion is if you stay here (worth it for the quality of the hospitality and the pools) then rent a car so that you can get around independently (we didn't rate some of the taxis or their drivers too highly). The concierges were excellent, organising day-6 PCR tests and chasing up the results for us – thank you Melanie! Mr Razik (duty manager) introduced himself and took an interest in ensuring we had everything we needed. The only criticism I have is the toiletries supplied in the bathroom were from an obscure brand and didn't seem very luxurious!…
The personnel are so accommodating and very helpful! from the time we checked-in and especially during our dining experience at Fishmarket. We have been served by Chris and the service was superb! The food was also amazing.
We have stayed at IHG Abu Dhabi. Their hotel is nice and clean. We have also tried their Fish Market Restaurant where you can select the ingredients you want for your food. Their food is sumptuous. I highly recommend Chris as the food server as he is very approachable and friendly at the guest.
Excellent service. They are very hospitable. The ambiance is clean and accommodating. Fish market restaurant is a must! Good service, good food, good staff. Will definitely go back and recommend to friends and family.
Good service at Bayshore beach restaurant by Mr. Khaled ) and other stuff. Nice pool and jacuzzi. Clean area, washrooms and showers. Good prices, good offers and discounts. Good for families. Nice food.
What a great way to celebrate a big birthday with the family. We stayed in 3 rooms with club access and couldn’t fault the service. Special shout for Mathi, Sheila, Ofelia, Aleksander and Danyl who could not have done more for us. Great service and advice when needed. Also to Md. Khalid and Sanda down at the Bayshore who were extremely helpful. Finally to Ayele Band at Chamas, who made it a night to remember with their music, energy and dancing. We’d have no hesitation in recommending the hotel and its facilities. It may not be the newest hotel in Abu Dhabi, but it is a special place with great facilities and staff. Thank you all for making our stay such a special one.
If you planning to visit The Belgium Cafe, ask for wira. Because she definitely know how to give the best recommendation of food and beer. The services was tip top. The view is amazing and the weather is perfect. Never regret to comeback again.
My wife and I had an excellent 10 days stay in this hotel. We were unhappy with our initial room allocation, but this was swiftly and professionally sorted. We paid for a club room and had access to Club Lounge. This proved to be a huge bonus, we had breakfast here most days, everything freshly cooked allied to fabulous service. Afternoon tea was equally, good and evening cocktails with “nibbles” was thoroughly enjoyable. The service throughout, led by Matthieu was impeccable. The beach area is well managed, the sea bathing is terrific, no seaweed and very clear, with a well maintained sandy beach. We didn’t use either of the pool areas but both seemed well managed. The fish restaurant by the beach was excellent. Belgian restaurant & buffet are both very good, and couldn’t really be faulted. Bedrooms are a little tired, but otherwise very comfortable. Staff at all levels were court, friendly & helpful. We would be happy to return!…
Perfect location, especially for longer stays, if you have time, go and enjoy the beach club. Food was very good, although the choice is limited, which is a bit disappointing for longer stays. We were a bit surprised, that there is no coffee machine in the rooms, with free coffee capsules or whatever. Instant Coffee in a Intercontinental Hotel in 2023 was a surprise. The staff is perfect, competent, attentive, motivated, no complaints, whatsoever. After we complained about food choice, the Executive Chef, Mr. Urresti took personal care and " compensated" us with an Invitation to other Restaurants inside Intercontinental Hotel, which was a delight. So if anyone has any complaints, which can happen anywhere, any time, the Intercontinental Team takes care and finds a solution. Definitely worth staying there. We will for sure come again. …
