We stayed here only one night, arriving late and leaving early, but the restaurant was perfect for a swift meal and the rooms were comfortable and quiet. The trip from Copacabana was a nightmare of traffic jams, diversions and noise/dirt, so this hotel was a very welcome respite.

Located in old La Paz, near Mercado de las Brujas, where quality accommodation is difficult to find, this colonial style hotel offers acceptable rooms and common areas. Having said this, I wish to recall that this is an acceptable 3 stars hotel, and the services given are related to this category of hotel, so do not expect 4 stars service... More

Our group of 6 stayed at this lovely hotel for 3 nights before heading to Salar de Uyuni. It's located in a quiet street but still within walking distance to nice restaurants, local eateries, witches market, fruit market, small local shops and the red line cable car terminal ( we took all three lines of cable car. Such a great... More

The location is great and the room is comfortable. It's easy to explore the city from this hotel by walking. There are some markets near the hotel so it's nice to buy some fresh fruits. The staffs are helpful and gave me great advice to travel in this unique city.

We stayed here for a total of 3 nights and we loved the fact that it's located in the centre of la Paz, but felt like a quiet oasis away from it all. The hotel is very clean and modern in most parts, the front reception is manned with 2-3 smart locals who are very helpful, the breakfast was lovely... More

After staying at the hotel Rosario del Lago in Copacabana this Rosario seemed somewhat shabby and decrepit: water rings on the desk, torn shower curtain liner (which had not been replaced when we came back several days later after visiting Sucre, Potosi and the salt flats in Uyuni) etc. Both times we had room 305 which has nice views of... An absolutely charming environment, clean rooms, lovely small courtyard for relaxing after treks and taking in the afternoon sun, excellent restaurant - but the true magic of Hotel Rosario La Paz is the staff, who, in my opinion, are warm, welcoming, and helpful far and above the norm anywhere. I stayed for a few nights, left for 6, returned for... More
