Lovely apartment style rooms, great service and amazingly friendly staff. The hotel is in the southern part of La Paz which is a nice area (good shops, restaurants and bars) but is a 15 minute taxi ride (Bs 20) to the centre of the city.

I stayed here for 9 nights and EVERYTHING was perfect. Great and VERY spacious room (living room, full kitchen and jacuzzi included) The staff couldn't be more friendly: all calling me by my last name and eager to do their best. Very good breakfast starting at 7am and express breakfast from 4:30 am. Room service was delicious and fast. I...

From the moment you step out of your taxi at the Casa Grande you are greeted by friendly smiling doormen and this continues through reception , restaurant, room service and even the guy who waters the plants. We checked in and out of the hotel on a few occasions during our visit to Bolivia and the two style of rooms...

Absolutely fantastic. I was there for US government business. I have been told a nightclub next door has recently made sleep problematic; however.... I have worked for the US govt for 13 yrs and have been to Europe, Asia, Middle East, etc....this is by far the nicest hotel with the most attentive staff I have ever had the pleasure to...

My partner and I travelled for a fortnight in the south of Bolivia, staying at Casa Grande at the start and end of our trip. An incredibly beautiful country, it's under-developed and travel infrastructure is generally quite poor, so standards of accommodation and dining err on the low side; however, we thoroughly enjoyed our four warm, comfortable nights here. The...

The staff played with the girls. They made them mickey mouse pancakes in the morning. We were in a suite with two rooms but with all the...

The Staff is very accomodating and friendly. If you have a long term stay in La Paz this may be where you want to stay. Most rooms come with a complete kitchen and there is a fantastic grocery store (Ketel) just across the street. The hotel restuarant serves an excellent breakfast. While the hotel is older than the Camino Real...
