What a lovely oasis in busy bogota with 3 gardens. If you are in the last garden you don't hear traffic at all. So, this is a must book, Unless..... A. It is cold in bogota (15 degrees in September) Then the rooms are colder then outside and you don't get a hot water bottle in your bed or something...

A definite must if you are looking for accommodation with a tranquil relaxed environment, with the mist friendliest of staff. I ended up at Anandamayi one night at 11pm, they had just finished up filming and were not ready to take bookings as they had no rooms ready to sleep in with the filing all day. However, they were accommodating...

I loved how serene and calm the place is, unbelievable for such a big dirty city. It is clean, there are enough blankets for the cold nights and there is hot tea always. Also super safe as they check not only who enters but also who leaves the place. If you are looking for a party there may be better...

My husband and 1.5yo daughter stayed here for three nights and loved it. It's a stunning building tastefully turned into a comfortable hostel. We had the only en suite room but there are plenty of bathrooms dotted around the three patios we could have done without. We loved the serene feel it has and the staff who at first seem...

Very nice rooms, clean bathrooms, beautiful garden and helpful staff. Breakfast is good - diy containing 2 eggs, 4 slices of toast, 2 slices of cheese, 1 piece of fruit plus Drinks (coffee - not overwhelming, coca leaf tea and other sorts of tea, hot chocolate & juice). I wouldn't recommend it for traveling solo - pepole weren't really talkative...

I booked this hostel based on the strong reviews on various sites. However, while the place was clean and in a good location, I didn't really enjoy my stay for a few reasons. First, this is more like a wellness or spiritual retreat than a hostel. There are a fair number of rules, like not having alcohol on the premises,...

Very pretty hostel set around a series of courtyards. Rooms very comfortable if slightly chilly though there are hot water showers in the shared bathrooms. All very clean and well kept by the helpful and friendly staff. Breakfast basic but plentiful. Felt very safe. An excellent and tranquil base from which to explore Bogota. It also happens to be very...

If you're looking for a super-tranquilo hostel then this is the place for you. Spotlessly clean, very beautifully appointed and cared-for and run by a group of lovely women, this is the most-chilled hostel ever. Note: this is not a party hostel! Please at least do the minimum research and see that this is an oasis of calm. If you...

On a quiet street on the edge of La Candelaria, this place is absolutely beautiful and tranquil inside, spotlessly clean, with lovely gardens and hammocks and places to sit and read. The bathrooms are nice, and hot water is plentiful. Some travelers might find it almost too peaceful - I sometimes felt like I might easily disturb others (the sound...

I spent 3 nights in a private room at the Anandamayi for three people. The bathroom is shared and is outside (however there are many and are always clean). There is hot water, but the windows are castings, which, considering the cold wheater of Bogota and the fact that they are outside the rooms, it's not a good thing. The...
