I have stayed here many times in the past and it was always very pleasant. However, the spa that used to be there is now gone, and the restaurant that was oh so good! has been replaced with a casino. There are now armed guards at the front door. Overall, you can't help but feel unsafe, also some unsavory looking... More

This hotel was our best choice because of the hotel transfers from the airport to the hotel and vice versa. Apart from that service the staff there are very friendly, helpful and verse in english which was a plus and they made our stay pleasant because we don't know any dutch at all lol.. The room was welcoming with all... More

Hotel opened in December 2007, so relatively new. Almost in the city centre, everything on walking distance. Breakfast is average, housekeeping service very poor. Helpful reception staff. Free shuttle service to the airport (has to be booked in advance), which is great! No swimming pool.

Very good experience. Staff very helpful in arranging taxis, advice on getting around town. A 10-15 minute walk to the old town, sights and shopping. Good breakfast. Pleasant quiet room.Complimentary transfer to airport. Only problem, a delay in posting charges to my credit card account

We stayed a week in this hotel in one of their suites. Our say was very pleasant. The room was large and comfortable and very clean. The staff was helpful and made our business stay very pleasant. The hotel has free access to internet. The shopping centre of Paramaribo is nearby, just a short stroll. Returning to Paramaribo, we surely... More

Stayed for a couple of nights, late April 2009. Did not expect much before going but the hotel rooms were nice, including the bathrooms with modern European style fixtures, mini bar, microwave and coffee machine and satellite TV.

Our company contracted for us to stay in this hotel during our delay while ferrying an aircraft to Argentina. What a great choice. Although Suriname is a so called developing nation, it's people are some of the most delightful I have ever met. The staff in the hotel are no exception. They are all courteous and helpful and never stop... More

First time in Suriname...Heard all about how dilapidated the Torarica is so was not expecting much. What a surprise! It is the perfect business hotel, not more not less. Very well located, quiet, good service, etc... The only complaint was that it took them 3 months to charge my AMEX credit card and that created havoc with my expense reporting... More

Not gonna lie.. I was a little weary booking a Best Western. Having "Best Western" and "Elegance" in the same sentence seemed to be a bit of an oxymoron. I was pleasantly surprised! The service was fantastic, security was great, rooms were very roomy, clean, and well appointed. The only thing that brought the room down was the bedding. The... More
