Yes it's a big hill to climb each day, but think of it as exercise 😃 the atmosphere and management make it all worthwhile! As English speakers with a little french, the staff make you incredibly welcome and make it easy. It's super friendly, facilities are great and you can pick up plenty of help to plan your trips further...

4/5, location is a bit out of the way, but that re-assures you that its a bit more safer since its isolated. Community kitchen is available for use, but the rigidity in keeping account of "your" dishes, combined with the locker system (they have lockers for your dry food and cold food), makes preparing food complicated sometimes. Great view from...

I have spent 2 nights in dorm here and I enjoyed staying here. The location is great, near Place de Cocotiers. To/from airport you can take the Carsud Bus only 400XPF. The room is clean, bright, lots of space, cage there. The common room and kitchen is great, lockers provided. You could communicate with other traveller. I have met Ollie...

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hostel. In fact, I think it was one of the better hostels I've ever stayed in. As many of the other reviews have pointed out, it is basic; everything you need, nothing you don't. But it is the staff and the atmosphere which really make it stand out in my mind. Conveniently located close...

We stayed here at the beginning of our trip in New Caledonia and for 3 nights at the end of our trip over new year. It is the only hostel in Noumea so it could be terrible and get away with it seeing as there is no competition - but instead, it is just fantastic. On our first day we...

A fairly basic youth hostel which is conveniently close to Nouméa city centre (if you can handle the staircase). Staff are helpful, the view over the bay is great and it's pretty much the only place to stay in town if you're travelling on the budget. However, do not expect luxury: the rooms are very basic, institutional and not entirely...

Rooms We stayed in a double room, and returned to stay a few days later and stayed in a twin room. The rooms are tiled and are basic, with the bed/s and an open sided shelf/wardrobe. There was a fan, a mossie plug in and both rooms had access to a small balcony with good views over Noumea. The staff...
