Our family of four just spent a week at Casa del Sole in a 2 bedroom apartment on the top floor (16). The location is perfect, sitting right between Baie des Citrons and Anse Vata, which means incredible views from the rooms. The balcony had a table and some lounge chairs so was a great place to eat meals. But we spent most of our time out and about - evenings on Baie des Citrons watching the sun go down were magical. We knew ahead of time to bring supplies including dishwasher tabs, dishwashing liquid, some extra toilet paper etc so were not concerned about this. There was soap and body wash in the apartment. Kitchen equipment was basic and wouldn’t cater for complex cooking but was fine for the occasional meal we prepared. The supermarket at Port Plaisance was a 15 minute walk or a short bus ride. We arrived late at night and were sent good instructions for access via key safe, although didn’t realise until the next day that lights in the hallways are on a timer so it was dark as we came through. But again, no big problem. The shower was a bit ordinary but the kids were happy to have a bath. We didn’t try the hotel WiFi as we rented Pocket WiFi, which was delivered to the hotel and gave great portable signal for the whole holiday. Casa del Sole is not a luxury hotel, but we would definitely stay there again. It was excellent value for money compared with other apartment-style hotels. Last time we were in Noumea we stayed at Anse Vata but we much preferred this location. Can’t wait to return.

Love watching the sun go down from our 15th floor apartment. The kitchen was great to use and made all our meals there. Water pressure can be bad on the higher floors when at busy times of the day. WiFi was terrible first thing in the morning and every evening. So little bandwidth that had to wait until late just to open FaceBook on the PC and midnight to upload photos on the weekends. A bit better during the week as it was shoulder season and not so many people then. Floors transmit noise from people walking around upstairs and moving furniture etc. Great location with all the restaurants and shops etc right by the place.

We stayed at the Casa Del Sole for 6 nights recently, as a family of 4, in a 2 bedroom apartment. The apartment (on level 15, overlooking Baie des Citrons) was large and comfortable. The view was spectacular both day and night. One bedroom had 2 single beds, the other had a queen sized bed. There was air conditioning in both bedrooms (but not the main living area/kitchen), and each room opened out onto a balcony. The balcony for the main living area was huge and had outdoor furniture so you could eat and relax outside, while inside were couches and a dining table/chairs. There was a clothes washing machine and a drying rack. The kitchen has some basic (limited) utensils and a dishwasher. There is a good amount of crockery and glassware, and a large fridge. The apartment isn’t serviced during your stay, and you need to bring your own washing up liquid, detergent, dishwasher powder, and toilet paper (there is only one initial roll in each toilet). The apartment itself is a bit dated. Any of these disadvantages are offset by the incredibly good value for money that this apartment is – compared to either other nearby apartments (eg the Hilton Residences at Anse Vata, where we have stayed before, which are smaller and significantly more expensive). The price is incredibly affordable and makes it a great choice for a family break. The apartment is located at Baie des Citrons, and is short walk from the beach and many restaurants/bars. It is a slightly longer (but still not far) walk across to Anse Vata, where there is a also a beach, shuttle to Ile aux Canards, and many other restaurants and bars. There was some noise from the bars at Baie des Citrons on the Saturday night, but it was not intrusive once the balcony doors were closed. There is ample parking, and a small convenience store adjacent to reception (open each morning, and then later in the afternoon). Check in was in French language only, and payment was required at check in. The property accepts Visa and Mastercard credit cards. There is a small swimming pool which we used several times during our stay. WiFi is available at a reasonably low price (2100 XPF for a week), but to go with the low price it was patchy and unreliable. It was fine for occasional use on vacation, but would not be good if you were trying to have Zoom / Teams calls etc. I would highly recommend this Casa del Sole as a great apartment to stay at when in Noumea, and do look forward to staying here again in the future. It is also important to remember that with the lower price there is no servicing and you need to supply certain items.

Spacious two bedroom apartment with amazing views - fantastic base for me and my teenage daughters. Great location and easy walking distance to beaches, aquarium, local restaurants and bus routes. Local supermarket about 20 minute walk from complex; small epicerie on site. Easy access to local bus stops. Tips: - you will need to purchase/bring tea, coffee, milk, laundry and dishwashing products as these are not provided; - bring extra towels for the beach; - you can purchase wifi to use on-site. Alternately, there is limited free wifi at local information centre (5 minute walk) and a number of restaurants provide access to wifi with purchase. - get a map of local area If we do another trip to Nouméa, I would definitely stay at Casa del Sole again.

I was a bit nervous about returning here (last stayed in 2007) after some negative reviews on here. However I could not resist the perfect location (surely the best in Noumea, right on Baie Des Citrons which has the best strip of restaurants/bars in NC). In fact our stay was excellent. We were in a renovated apartment on the top floor with a balcony and amazing views. Reception was really friendly and helpful, including arranging airport transfers. There's even a cafe/convenience store on the ground floor these days- perfect for picking up a baguette and croissants.

Stayed as a family late Dec 2019 to early Jan 2020 for 8 nights. Check in was smooth (English speaking). But no real additional info like local maps, restaurants suggestions etc. at check in. We stayed in a 1 br apartment on the Anse Vata side. The apartment was large, with large balcony. The apartment seemed relatively new or refurbished. Furniture and fittings were in good condition. Some other reviews had mentioned it being too windy on the Anse Vata side, but while there was usually a breeze there it wasn't unpleasant at all and we often used the balcony. Maybe this varies with the season? The kitchen was adequately equipped with dishes, plates, pots and pans to cook a simple meal if required. There was a full size fridge freezer. There was an electric stove including oven as well as a microwave. A dishwasher is also provided. There is also a drip filter coffee maker. No condiments, coffee, tea, sugar etc. we're provided. The bathroom provided towels, soap, shampoo and 2 rolls of toilet paper. There was a combined shower/bath. The hot water came out hot and strong whenever you wanted it. We were on the 12th floor with great views of Anse Vata beach. The downside is that despite its name the apartment is not serviced during our stay. This meant the same towels, also taking your own trash to the garbage room on the ground floor as the bins filled up. Also we had to buy our own toilet paper from a supermarket (there is a small store/cafe on the ground floor to buy basic supplies as well). The location is great. About 200m to either Bai De Citrons or Anse Vata beaches. Also close to many cafe and restaurant. As long as you are aware of the limited service and supplies I would recommend this property for a stay in Noumea.

We spent five nights at the Casa del Sole overlooking the Baie de Citrons. The apartments are in a great location between Anse Vata and the Baie. The views were stunning and the one bedroom apartment was a good size. The verandah was a lovely place to hang out, especially for sunset. The kitchen is adequately fitted out and includes large fridge, microwave and stove. This is a non serviced apartment with no tea/coffee provided at all so bring your coffee and loo paper or you can use the small shop near reception to buy what you need. There was no free WIFI but as we had our own I am not sure if you can purchase. The only negative was the noise from their nightclubs, so bring your earplugs as only Monday and Tuesday night were quiet. Recommend these apartments and would stay again.

Knowing there would be noise from the bars, on Thursday, Friday & Saturday nights, we were prepared. It was not loud enough ( on the 12th floor) to wake you, but if you needed a nocturnal visit, it made it a bit harder to get back to sleep, but not impossible.Very large rooms, clean & tidy, & a handy shop( like a corner dairy) downstairs.

They are focused on French speaking tourists, partly the reception people cannot speak English. The appartements are very specious and the balcony is great. Very close to Casa del Sole are many restaurants.

The apartment was very big and had spectacular views. It was convenient for both Anse Vata and Baie des Citrons. They arranged a taxi to meet me at the hotel. The apartment has a kitchen, but you would have to buy everything to cook there, so we didn’t bother. Supermarkets are expensive, eating out very expensive, so if you are 4 people, cooking in the apartment might be a good idea and it seemed reasonably well equipped. There is a little grocer’s next door where you can buy bread and croissants in the morning and get coffee. For the inside of a week it was fine. It was quite a reasonable price in terms of New Caledonia prices. There was no service while we were there, so I don’t know if we could have got clean towels or anything.
