Booked our Hotel through Qantas . Arrived late Sunday night check-in ~0100, tired and hungry but no room service nothing. Apartment on seventh floor had a terrible odour of faecal matter on opening our door.

Main bedroom was large and wanted to have a shower. Shower head connection was broken and spinning like an helicopter from the attachment on the wall, leaking spurts of water. Shower gel, soap and conditioner provided in bathrooms but no shampoo during our stay - when requested we were told out of stock.

Other rooms were of a good size but A/C throughout our stay was hit and miss, becoming warm , going off during night disturbing sleep.

Buffet breakfast was same every day, lukewarm hot food selections (hot food shouldn't be stewing e.g. undercooked mixed with burnt soggy bacon, and should be refreshed frequently) - poor brother to usual Hilton standard. Malongo coffee was bitter, jam should be portion controlled for hygiene and sneezeguard should be installed over all the cold breakfast buffet.

All staff however friendly and professional. Rooms very clean.

Property is in need of major refurbishment. Washing machine/dryer required a replacement door to work and we had to call maintenance several times to fix it. Appliances in apartment are old.

Great convenient location with stunning views over Anse Vata bay and the friendly helpful staff are the highlights of staying here. Downside is need for updated reburshment.

We had an amazing stay at the Hilton. The location is fantastic - across the road from the beach, multiple fantastic shops below the hotel including several good bakeries/restaurants and a stellar macaron shop.
We stayed in a 3 bedroom apartment with ocean views - this was very comfortable, spacious and spotlessly clean. Staff were amazingly friendly and helpful. As other reviews have mentioned, the pool is underwhelming, however we spent our days at the beach so it wasn't an issue.
We would definitely stay here again in the future.

We booked three nights in this hotel, and was attracted to it as it was an aprarment style. We arrived very late due to the flight time in. Our provided room had two portable air conditioning units, one in the living area and one in the bedroom. The split system units were not working. The portable units were very loud and not very efficient. The bathrooms dated, and the shower nozzle leaky. Due to the late hour, we thought we would complain and ask for another room in the morning. We slept poorly due to the noise.
On speaking with the staff, they agreed to change our room to another with better AC, but it would not be ready till after 4pm, so we couldnt unpack or settle in.
On moving, we realised it had the same portable AC units installed. It turns out that all apartments in that building had the portable units. You could not hear the TV, music or phone calls over the volume of the units. It was very desturbing to sleep too.
To make matters worse, little things were missing, like no drinking glasses, and no corkscrew. Then the phone wasn't working so I couldn't call reception, but had to go down in person.
Then I did a load of washing. The washing machine wouldn't pump out or spin, and I was flying out the next day so had to get my washing dry. Maintenance was called and had to manually pump out the machine. We had to wait around missing sight seeing, but eventually went out with reception promising to ensure my washing was spun so I could hang to dry overnight. We came back to our room with sodden clothes still in the machine.
Another complaint, and they arranged to collect the washing and get it dry for us.
In saying all this, the staff were lovely and tried to help. The view and position good. The Maintenance and upkeep is appalling. The booking cost over A$1000 for the three nights, and we felt all we did was complain, and missed out on sightseeing due to having to change rooms, keep visiting reception and wait around for maintenence.
There was no disclosure of the air conditioning problems, which must be longstanding. We booked through a third party provider, and will be complaining to them too as we would have preferred to book somewhere that is as sold.

Do not book this hotel if you have a disability. The only room with a walk in shower is a 2 bed apartment out of 100s of rooms. I have traveled for years and despite my early booking request made in nz - when I arrived they said they had not been told of my requirement and demanded I pay another $43 a day to upgrade. Initially one of the toilets did not flush, a toilet roll holder came out of the wall in my hand, curtains would not close, a sink blocked, I found myself over the restaurant (party central at the weekend) no liquid milk or bottled water and the walls so thin a baby next door screamed for 3 hours as if it were in my room. Every noise possible was possible. Nicolas at reception was a thoughtful young man and showed huge empathy. Thankyou Nicolas. They did produce a plastic stool for me to use getting in and out of vans to go on tours. My travel agent paid the difference despite assuring me the request had been made. Ps New Caledonia is beautiful just don't stay at the Hilton....

This was not the luxury experience we were anticipating. The first room we were given (a one bedroom apartment) was on the ground floor with no view of the ocean at all. The curtains didn't close properly (they didn't meet in the middle). It felt dingy. Fortunately we were able to upgrade (at our expense) to another room on a higher floor. The staff were polite and helpful in facilitating this. The second apartment was better. It had a nice view from the balcony and was spacious. The bed was comfortable and the shower pressure was great. But the bathroom was not very clean, with mould, pealing paint, and grime on the skirting board. There was a dishwasher, but no dishwash tablets/powder were provided.
Also we were unhappy to learn when we checked in for our five night stay that the hotel restaurant was not open for dinner for the entirety of our stay. The hotel breakfast was okay but not luxurious. We ended up going to a nearby cafe for breakfast instead.
We would not stay here again.

A very relaxing 11 days. More of an apartment than a hotel room. Stunning views over Anse Vata Bay. Nice big balcony from both the lounge room and the bedroom. The bed was very comfortable and the room very quiet, so had excellent sleep during my entire stay.
Wifi was excellent, the best I've experienced in a hotel for some time.
Room facilities are great, the washing machine in particular came in very handy. Large TV in the lounge room and another in the bedroom. Furniture was plentiful, functional and comfortable.
Everything was spotlessly clean throughout the entire apartment, including the bathroom, and the daily cleaning by the house staff kept it that way.
Lots of shopping, restaurants and bars in the immediate vicinity (including the fantastic L'Atelier Gourmand bakery), or a short walk away in Lemon Bay.
Bus stops out front for buses to the City Centre (you can get a connecting bus to the Cultural Centre and other areas from the bus centre there). The bus services are impressive and cheap, with interactive route maps showing you exactly where you are, and recorded announcements at every stop.
Loved the restaurant the few times I visited (though didn't have breakfast).
Reception, restaurant and house Staff were all extremely helpful and friendly.
My only real complaint was the lack of lighting in the bedroom. No ceiling lights, only a small bedside light which was frustrating when trying to read a book.
Overall a great stay, in a great location and would definitely stay again.

We stayed for 10 nights in Apr 2024. Fantastic staff and service, especially Gunther at the front desk who was one of the most professional and helpful person we met. The 2 br apartment had brilliant views of the beach and was a good size for our family.
On the down side, breakfast was not the best but had a decent spread. We also didn't appreciate the blatant imbalance between the female and male gyms. The male gym is quarter the size of the female gym and had old and dated equipment falling apart whereas the female gym according to my wife was brand new. Even she felt it seemed the hotel was trying to overcompensate and pander exclusively to the females.
Location wise it's fantastic with a galleria downstairs and just across the road to Anse Vata beach. Also walking distance to the Aquarium and Baie de Citron.

The hotel in a great central spot - opposite beach, with shops and restaurants in complex below.

Our apartment had awesome views and great layout. We had a corner room and my favorite feature was the window in shower - I brushed my teeth while enjoying views of mountains.

The staff were very friendly and helpful

On our last day, our 8yo daughter forgot a souvenir we had bought just that morning at the apartment. On arrival at our next hotel (Doubletree Ilot Maître) we called La Promenade reception and the morning/afternoon staff remembered us and tracked down the souvenir that had been saved by housekeeping. Not only did they call back to confirm, they arranged for the souvenir (of sentimental value only!) to be delivered by ferry to us at Doubletree Ilot Maître well before our departure from New Caledonia!

Thanks team, outstanding service and a very thankful daughter!

The Hilton's pool is very basic. The Meridian has a much larger (resort-style) pool, however the water was pretty cold (the disadvantage of Meridian for families is that the rooms are smaller and no kitchen etc). We spent most of our time at the beach to be honest.
