I wasn't expecting much and this place delivered. We arrived on a very late evening Delta Air Lines flight and the place was closed up when we got there with only a phone number to contact someone, they should have provided the room number of the person on duty. We didn't have a cell phone that worked in the area...

This hotel looks a little scary on the outside. As others have mentioned the top stories are unfinished. But the rooms were comfortable and clean. The shower showed the usual mildew problem that is found in hot humid places but this was kept to a minimum. The hotel was very conveniently located with just a short walk to some good...

Palau really is to dive for, top that with a great service from the hotel where we are staying, all I can say is the perfect getaway. We were picked up from the airport by the guest lodge so we didn't have to worry about renting a car whatsoever, and Lynne, who was the person that took care of us...

First thing to say is: this is the Pacific, so bear in mind that standards will be lower - much lower. In most of the rest of the world, this hotel would be a 1* at very best, but this is Palau. The rooms themselves are adequate for a night or two. They are relatively clean by Palau standards but...

If you go to Palau simply for diving, and you have only a tight budget for accommodation, yet wanted to get a comfortable place to stay, then this is a good option. It is well located in the city center, with plenty restaurants and shops just nearby. It might first appear to be slightly run down, but you can rest...

Thanks to the strange flight plan of united airlines everybody needs to pays 0.5 nights more at the end. ETA is in the middle of night, same as STD, so you ll block the rooms. That having said, the rooms are clean, tidy and the bed comfy. The shower even has hot water, in case you need it :) The...

We stayed here for 2 nights at the end of Feb 2013. The rooms are large and have free (although often slow) wifi internet. The balcony is shared with a few tables and chairs to enjoy outside. It is a no-frills place, but decent. The bed was very comfortable, the shower was hot and the staff were super sweet and...

The Guest Lodge Motel offers divers a great value for the rate requested. I last stayed there in January 2013 for 14 nights. It's locally owned by a very nice Palauan family who are responsive to your needs. The Motel offers airport pick-up and drop-off, and, when requested, can arrange a rental car. Air conditioners worked well, bedrooms and bathrooms...

“If you get pickup service from this hotel make sure to remind them you are coming (with time of arrival) the day before and take their phone number with you. If they do not show up call them or have someone at the Palau Visitor Bureau call them. They were late picking up every one of us. Ask for a room in the front. The balcony is nice.”
