I stayed here on an overnight booked through booking.com The executive room is lovely, but I couldn't understand the bedding configuration for a room so expensive - 2 king singles. Furthermore, the shower was broken, so you had to hold it up the entire time you're in the shower, no complimentary milk for tea, plus a rather dirty balcony. What...

Despite friendly staff, a great location and a very pleasant Japanese restaurant, The bed bugs indicated that the room wasn't as clean as it needs to be. Although internet was supposably available, I was not able to access it. They need to lift their game.

We stayed here 2 years ago on a wreck diving trip to the Solomon Islands with Tulagi Dive. This was a return trip. The location is perfect. The dive operation next door. The harbour out front. The same friendly staff in the same positions. The rooms the same.Basic for the price but seems to satisfy the needs of passing consultants and business people. They are more than...

Hotel charged extortionent price for what is no better than a cheap motel room. Door to balcony was stuck and we couldn't open it, mould and black 'stuff' in the shower, as well as lots of cracked tiles. The BED was terrible, dipped in the middle and moved on its castor wheels! Discrepancy over checking out time, key card said...

I stayed here in 2014 as part of a group on a diving holiday. I came here again on a group diving holiday and, despite complaints last time, the dive travel company continues to book this hopeless hotel. This hotel continues to charge at 5 star prices for less than 2 star service. The rooms are old and have still...

Solid clean hotel patronized by a lot of expats/ NGO's. Kindly staff. Centrally located. Quiet. No mildew in the bathrooms, no bugs in the rooms. Was there during the recent earthquake and it was structuraly sound. I loved the sign in the lobby: something along the lines of 'No public drunkeness and no disorderly behavior.' Safe place for a solo...

I stayed at this hotel for 10 days, and except for the Japanese restaurant (albeit pricey), there is nothing special about this hotel. I carried my luggage from the taxi to front desk, even though the front desk personnel were only chatting. Check in was smooth. If I did not ask for the front desk person to help with my...

Hotel service was excellent and without a hitch. The foyer timber was impressive, inviting and cool. Breakfast service was OK. and the room was good. Overlooking the ocean on the ground floor. One can step right on to teh waterfront beach. Pool was out of action for service however. Certainly within easy walking distance of the city centre. Dont try...

I stayed in the Solomon Kitano Mendana Hotel for 3 weeks a few years back for work, and there were not many positives to draw. Location was great, on the waterfront, close to Point Cruz Yacht Club and cafes. The room itself was miserable and the bed was as old as I am. The shower was temperamental, and hot water...
