Hotel service was excellent and without a hitch. The foyer timber was impressive, inviting and cool. Breakfast service was OK. and the room was good. Overlooking the ocean on the ground floor. One can step right on to teh waterfront beach. Pool was out of action for service however. Certainly within easy walking distance of the city centre. Dont try... More

I stayed in the Solomon Kitano Mendana Hotel for 3 weeks a few years back for work, and there were not many positives to draw. Location was great, on the waterfront, close to Point Cruz Yacht Club and cafes. The room itself was miserable and the bed was as old as I am. The shower was temperamental, and hot water... More

We arrived and had to carry our luggage from the taxi to the reception. Internet only for one device and the receptionist was helpless to improve. Promised to check with the management (unavailable due to a meeting) and never came back to us. Nobody to show us to our room. Nobody to carry our luggage. This hotel claims to be... More

I stayed in the garden view rooms, one of the cheaper options but at $1100 not cheap. I was extremely disappointed with the room. I has stayed in these rooms some years previously and nothing had changed. It stank of cigarette smoke despite the area being declared non-smoking, the carpet was sticky underfoot and dirty. The walls needed a good... More

Spent 2 weeks here while diving next door with Tulagi Dive. In the middle of town. Found the hotel rooms spacious and clean and cleaned everyday while we were out. Dining room and meals were very good and reasonable. Didn't try the Japanese. All the staff were courteous and helpful. Could ask for more when really only sleeping there.

It's ok. Quite central in Honiara. A convenient place to stay if you're diving with Neil at Tulagi dive. Rooms vary , but a cool and comfortable. Don't expect Hilton hotel in New York standards. Rooms are not cleaned very well. Hotel dining is quite good.

Stayed here for 3 nights last week. We had rooms in the east wing and an executive suite. It's about as nice as you're gonna get in Honiara people. Ok so some of the rooms need an update. Well the answer is simple, ask for a nicer room and upgrade! The staff were very helpful and fixed anything we asked... More

We stayed at this hotel for one night only as a stopover awaiting flight back to Australia. My first impressions of the hotel were when i last stayed here almost ten years ago. It was a nice hotel back then and a few changes have taken place in the main foyer/lobby with new tiles replacing the aging timber floor. Staff... More

Firstly I'd like to mention that at arrival the splendor of the Foyer and restaurant area is appealing and inviting. The staff, as always in the Solomons is welcoming and helpful. From there things started to slide. Our room on the other hand was disappointing. We clearly where housed in an older section of the hotel (that was misleading by... More

The hotel staff are good and helpful. Hotel rooms have seen better days and are in an average to poor condition. They have updated some rooms but apparently they are only let to "important people". During our stay there was the heads of government for Pacific Islands meeting at Honiara. They closed down the restaurant to normal customers some days... More
