The most perfect place with the most amazing staff. They looked after us day in day out & our group felt like every one of them were part of our family!

This place is absolutely amazing. The first time that we visited was in 2011 and we loved every minute of our time there.

From the moment we arrived, Erakor Island turned out to be a beautiful piece of paradise. In the ferry across to the island, you could see the crystal clear waters, patches of coral and masses of starfish up to and around the jetty. The welcome...More
We were also at the resort at the same time as the wedding party that was given such a bad rap by Simon and we definitely did not experience or hear any of the disturbances he went into precise detail to complain about. We found...More

We did not find the food overly expensive at all. Breakfast is included in the price of your stay - they have all the usual continental breakfast items including amazing pastries. There is also a cooked breakfast menu (eggs, pancakes etc) at no extra charge and it is fantastic. Other meals were probably similar to what you would pay in Australia but it was without a doubt some of the best food we have ever had. Fresh, fresh, fresh and plentiful. Excellent beef and fish and the fruit is gorgeous. If you don’t want to eat in the restaurant, staff happily bring meals and drinks to your villa.
We are not big drinkers and only had the occasional drink/cocktail which again, was on par with Australian prices. We had a family of two adults and two kids stay for a week and our total food/drink bill (eating every day at the resort)worked out to about $500.
There is a 24 hour boat back to the mainland (5 minute trip) and you can get a taxi or bus into town (5-10 mins). You can easily drop into the local supermarket (called Bon Marche) to buy drinks and snacks etc. There is an ATM and they take eftpos. I didn’t buy a great deal but the supermarket is well stocked with anything you could possibly want or need. My husband is a smoker and cigarettes are also very cheap...that was the only thing we did find expensive at the resort.
Port Villa also has a large number of restaurants but we didn’t try these during our stay...next time.
