I had a wonderful time at Meliá Hotel Yangon from May 2023 to June 2023. Their staffs are very friendly, helpful and made me feel like home. I’ll definitely stay there again. They have an excellent choices for breakfast. But the best part of my stay was they prepared delicious Mont Hinn Kher for me every morning. Thank you so much Meliá Yangon and their staffs for making my trip wonderful.

I would like to a special thanks to the following staffs and would love to recommend their services. They are very lovely and they always do excellent jobs. They all made my long stay amazing and I can’t wait to visit them again.

Aye Chen Wai & Aung Sett Paing from house keeping to make my room always neat and tidy.

Kyu and Nyein from Flower service for arranging beautiful roses for me and made me feel like home. Kyu & Nyein made the most beautiful flower arrangement for our anniversary day and I appreciate their excellent service.

Min Min, Nyi Nyi & Aung Maw Zin from laundry for taking care of my clothes and for their efficient service.

Oscar and William from Reception for arranging everything I need during my long stay.

All staffs from Market restaurant for delicious breakfast especially for arranging special Mont Hinn Kher for me.

I spent 8 days in the Melia Yangon in January 2020. Its a very comfortable hotel, especially for business people. The top three floors are set aside for business folk. Two floors are hotel rooms and the top floor is an eating, working and meeting area. You can have breakfast served on this floor if you don't wish to frequent the hustle and bustle of the main dining area, which I should say serves a wide and good quality range of food. You can also get snacks on the top floor all the way through to 8.00pm in the evening. Also from around 6.00pm you will be offered wine, beer or spirits, all free gratis.
The bedrooms are spacious and very well equipped. One very nice touch is that they offer free laundry for up to 3 items per day, if you stay in the business bedrooms.
There are two excellent restaurants. One serving Mediterranean style food, and the second serving Vietnamese food.
Lastly, the staff are all very friendly and efficient and on the top floor they get to know you and what you prefer very quickly.
The hotel is situated overlooking the Inya lake. The only downside of the hotel is its situation. It's about 10 to 20 minutes from the centre of Yangon by taxi, and Yangon traffic often comes to a standstill during the day. There is a good sized shopping mall next door with a reasonable supermarket. If, however, like me you like a walk in the evening, then you are limited in where you can go. The walk along the side of the lake looks enticing, however, it is not lit so.

My extended stay at the Melia was wonderful.

I stayed in a room with level lounge access, which was great cause I was able to take advantage of the free snacks and drinks from 5-8 each day. The staff there got to know me and they were exceptionally friendly and helpful, in particular I was impressed by Pepsi and Amanda, who went above and beyond in making me feel welcome and comfortable.

I also took advantage of the laundry service (3 free peices a day) who did a great job and always got things back to me the same day.

The concierge desk, staffed by the wonderful Kyaw Zin Latt, made planning weekend trips to Bagan and Inle lake so easy. I made heavy use of the concierge desk but they were always friendly and accommodating no matter how elaborate my request.

My room was always immaculate thanks to the housekeeping staff, including Aung Zaw Latt, who was very friendly and helpful.

The view from the rooms was magnificent, the room was luxurious, the bed was incredibly comfortable, and the free breakfast at "The market" was delicious and had every option you could imagine.

There's really no better place in Yangon to stay.

Spent four nights at this splendid hotel and returned again for one additional night.
The hotel is fairly close to the airport and therefore very convenient.
The upgrade to premium not only provides a wonderful view of the lake but the complimentary three item per night laundry service is both innovative and useful.
Each and every staff member offered a worm welcome and when we returned from Mandalay for our final night it felt like “returning home” ; wonderful !
Most notably Mr Oscar greeted us on arrival, setting the standard for a great stay .
This hotel may have even knocked The Leela Palace from top place in my best list,or at least close to. Maybe a draw

Thanks to all staff and sorry not to be able to name all individually. The staff training program must be world class.

Friend of mine and myself unexpectedly arranged staycation, however the facilities & services we received are a lots more than we expected. Grace from reception handled my reservation professionally and assigned a fantastic room with Lake view. A young lady (sorry! forgot her name) handled for excellent fast check in and asked to fill up health declaration form. A room door seals with cleaned and sanitized sticker which is a great idea, it makes me feel safe to spend my time in room especially in this COVID-19 situation. We feel like Inya Lake is welcoming to us as soon as we entered to room, what an amazing view. We enjoyed all the facilities such as bathroom amenities, hot shower and very comfortable bed & pillows. Only one thing that we planned to watch Netflix unfortunately it's not a smart TV. We enjoyed the breakfast in next day at Olea and received personalized service from waiter. A young man called Roy made courtesy talk during our breakfast and offer a complimentary late check out. We were so happy since we still want to enjoy the view from the room. A very fast check out received upon checked out handle by Nan Phyo . hank you Melia Team especially Grace, Roy & Nan Phyo for making my unplanned staycation to memorable stay. Definitely recommended for relaxing staycation at Yangon.

My first time to Yangon, and it was truly a "24 hours, done over the weekend" kind of trip, so I can just tick Yangon off the checklist kind.

This is a late posting, and my stay was November 2018.

I booked through Ctrip for my stay, and the rates were very reasonable compared tot he older property across the road (Sedona). Since I was just on a backpack, I thought I'll try the adventurous way from the airport and I took the very reasonable fare bus ride to the city center (which passes through the hotel), the same bus also pass through the Sedona hotel as well. I was not in any rush and enjoyed the pleasant bus ride. I took a Grab car back to the airport the next day though.

The hotel is very new and grand, the lobby is very spacious and you rather tranquil compared to the noisy street just across the lake. The room was very spacious as well, modern and very comfortable. Housekeeping did a great job with cleanliness, and everything was working well in the room.

The breakfast restaurant was very spacious, and lots of food option, including some Spanish style items - perhaps due to its brand. The hotel wasn't very busy but perhaps caused by new competition entering the market, while tourism numbers were down too due to its domestic tension.

Overall, Yangon remain an excellent over the weekend destination to explore.

Stayed here for 11 days in December 2019 and 7 days in January 2020. The hotel is situated across from Inya Lake and has a beautiful view. Its literally just a few steps away from Myanmar Plaza where you can shop, eat or meet friends if you don't want to eat at the hotel. The hotel staff are friendly and absolutely wonderful. Rooms are spacious, clean, and bed linens are always fresh. Make sure you read the little card on the bedside table for change of bed linen and towels and help save the environment. Take the kickboxing class with instructor Tin Zaw Latt on Saturdays. The other staff at the Gym (Zaw Ye, So Pyay, Win Tun, Alex, La Min, Naing, Min Thein, Ye Tut are all very good and helpful especially Zaw Ye,
Definitely stay here every time I am in Yangon.

We were in Melia VIP room last week . Every part of the hotel was clean and perfectly maintained. Everything about this hotel was great: beautiful room, great food, friendly staff and a perfect location!

Excellent wi-fi, nice toiletries, great choice at dinner. The staffs were very helpful, accommodating and organizing big dressing mirror and allowing us to use in the room.

Everyone greeted me with a huge smile and were happy to assist me in any particular need.

The receptionists also are very helpful and reliable . Thank you so much Melia !

I started out with 3 month summer promotional membership. I loved the atmosphere and great support by the team so much that I ended up signing up for 1 yr membership (came with free 1 night stay and dinner buffet). Best perk is that they offer personal training at no additional charge.

The gym offers only limited # of classes so won’t be suitable for people who prefer to do dance classes or HIIT. If not, the equipments at the gym and swimming pool are all you need.

Special thanks to Ma So Pyay who kept pushing me to test my limit 😢, Ko Alex who always saved me whenever I suffered from cramps post-workout😂, Ko Zaw Ye, Ko Naing, Ko Ye Htut, Ko Min Thein and sweet Ma La Min who is always smiling 🙂
