The Yuzana Garden Hotel has known better days but is now very tired and desperate for some TLC. However, the staff are charming and do what they can although some have limited English. On check-in we were advised that our room was up-graded. It was certainly large but under the cheap carpeting were floor tiles that moved as you walked over them. Looking for a place to plug in a battery charger I was horrified to see that cables on bedside lights had been extended with the ends joined together with black plastic tape - a health and safety nightmare! It seems that this hotel is popular for wedding parties and although it could be a little noisy in the morning with music blaring out, there was no noise problem in the evening. Breakfast was not terribly inviting with fried eggs sitting in oil under the warmer, so we tended to cross the busy main road and eat elsewhere. The pool looked very neglected and whilst we were there, no one used it for swimming. Would I recommend this hotel? No, not really, we tended to cross over the road and use the bar at the Palace Garden Hotel which looked very grand but probably cost no more than the overpriced Yuzana Garden Hotel.…
My wife and I stayed 5 nights at this hotel. The location is good but the building is very poorly maintained. First night we discovered that there was no hot water in the bathroom, so they changed us to another room which was much bigger the next day. Unfortunately, the air con in the masterbedroom is not powerful enough to cool the room. It was frustrating to use the wifi in the hotel - very unreliable. Breakfast was very basic with very limited choices. The only redeeming factor is the friendly and helpful staff.
Good hotel with a very nice location with the best part being the price paid for this stay. The hotel has an on-going price offer and is amazingly good for the value. The hotel has decent facilities and offers good stay
Some little problems (internet, water, ecc), but a wonderful staff help us anytime you need! Breakfast reach; wonderful position in the middle of town and clean and spacious rooms. Building not so recently but near there is all what you want (a very nice restaurant is in the same garden, points of interest like the 2 most important pagoda and the market). It's ok!
Stayed here our last night. The staff was very helpful. Only 2 complaints I would have is the pool was clearly not kept up as it was very green, and the shower was partially broken (there was a secondary shower head that worked fine so no big deal there). The menu has a very British influence but they did offer a more local selection during breakfast. There was a bit of a language barrier (in general in Myanmar if people speak English its old world British, so this can be a struggle for an American) so trying to request a taxi to a night market or shopping mall we got dumped off in China town during Chinese new year...however that little adventure was quite fun. I enjoyed my stay like I said before its just a old building but its comfortable, location is good.
