As the electricity was shut down at home, I just run to this hotel for a night stay. The room is very clean and well designed even it's a bit smaller. The price is reasonable and it's nearby the china town where you can enjoy your evening with tasty bbq.

Super clean, bright cheerful room. We enjoyed great breakfasts plus other fabulous local dishes on the top 8th floor dining room...fabulous view! The staff here jump to help in any way they can, each one we met was friendly, spoke their best English, smiled & were happy to see us. The location was great for walking. We will definitely return to this gem!

We arrived at about 3am due to a very delayed flight but still there was someone to greet us straight away with a smile and takes our bags up for us - the staff are super friendly and nothing is too much trouble. It's a small boutique hotel and perfect for what we needed - a very good value place to stay.

The room itself was modern, clean and functional, with a very large, very comfy bed. However, and this is the main drawback - it had no windows! Now since we were only there one night and it was such good value this didn't bother us but I wouldn't recommend it for an extended stay as it's a bit claustrophobic. I don't know if other rooms have windows or not but you might want to check on booking. The doors also weren't very sound proof at all, though thankfully for us there wasn't much noise to speak of in the corridors but that could vary of course.

Breakfast wasn't brilliant, but it was fine, and it had a nice view over the river from the top of the hotel.

Overall, excellent value for money, but very much no-frills.

Very clean and comfortable modern rooms with all mod cons.
Beds are large and comfy, excellent shower.
Food in restaurant is great, good choices and catered for my non meat diet.
Staff very friendly and extremely helpful. Speak good English.

Ideal downtown hotel.

Felt very safe walking around, night and day.

Definitely recommend and will be staying again, before we leave for home.

We were greeted by the friendly security guard from the moment we arrived, and he led us up to the lobby for check in. Staff were cheerful, sincere and courteous ALL THE TIME, and also spoke good English. Check in and check out were hassle-free. The hotel was brand new, our room was very clean and had everything we need, and room service was also available if needed. A Burmese-style buffet Breakfast was included in our room rates, had at a small area on level 8, believed to be the hotel restaurant/bar.
The hotel was located on a street with lots of roadside food stalls, as well as many hole-in-the-wall diners, which we frequently patronised. Hotel was also within walking distance of many attractions and malls. (Between 5-45mins)

Highly recommended hotel, extremely value-for-money, good location, high level of service, very clean and modern, and super-friendly staff who never fail to make your day.

Thank you for this wonderful experience and the fantastic service during our stay in Hotel Balmi Yangon! We hope to see you soon! X

Kenzie

It was a amazing experience to stay there. Room was very clean, love the deco of the room and the service of the staffs was super! .

And it’s easy to access to downtown area and it will be good for business travelers. And they also offer room service. Breakfast was great and we can also see the wonderful view when you are having a breakfast.

We book a deluxe room at 10 am on Nov 1st but have to wait for about an hour.
How is it managing the booking and room?Over all it's good last time we visited. We already have visited for two times before. But this time really disappointed.
From the reception , all I got is to wait for a minute again and again. In the photos as you can see a lot of people waiting in the lobby...no drinks...no apologies...further more ....no enough chair to wait...All I have to say is "D I S A P P O I N T "

HOTEL BALMI, After staying with 4 of my family in the HOTEL BALMI for 20 days, my experience in this hotel will not disappear in my life time memories. The rooms are huge, high security for the family, spotless clean, high tech light switch, amazing temperature control (even water for shower), very convenient to access to China Town and with fantastic house keeping team. My favourite activity was having a drink & delicious foods and looking the stunning sun set river view from roof top restaurant that is smashing.
On the roof top restaurant, Opposite of the river view, I can even see the Shwe Dagon Pagoda (the greatest landmark of Myanmar), WHAT A GOOD LOCATION IS. All the staff are well trained professional in their rows, very polite and willing to provide their relevant services to the guests at anytime even in the 2:00am.
My favourite staff are
Patrick (F&B Supervisor)
Shine Ko Ko (F&B Captain)
Zin Ko Khant (F&B Service)
Tin Win Aung (Bartender)
Thura Maung ( Operation Manager)
Than Naing Lin (Bell Boy)
Soe Aung (Night Security)

Then, I celebrated my 43rd birthday party at the HOTEL BALMI roof top restaurant. All the decorations, live music, foods & drinks managed by restaurant manager Patrick & team. My birthday party was my best party I have ever had.
All my family really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. We strongly recommend to stay at HOTEL BALMI whatever the reason in Yangon, Myanmar.
