Close to the Sule Paya, Shwedagon pagoda and good local markets this is a very good hotel. It's reasonably cheap and the rooms are neat and well maintained. The staff were all, unfortunately all over us like a cheap suit in regards to trying to spell package tours/money changing and taxis. Everything else was good.

It's smack in front of the famous Bogyoke market where you can buy gems, paintings, traditional cotton wears, silk, t-shirts, souvenirs...etc. It's only about 5 minutes walk to the Sule pagoda which is a great sight to behold standing tall and golden right in the middle of noisy busy traffic of downtown with cars driving around it like with the...

We spent four nights at the Central Hotel in October. There were three of us, and we were given a large room with one double bed, one single and a table & chairs. The room was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the table got used frequently to eat the street food that we would bring back to the hotel....

The Sule monastery, one of the two most exotic pagodas in Yangon is walking distance, while the biggest attraction of Yangon, namely, the Golden Pagoda is about ten minutes drive. other attractions, like the market, are also nearby. The hotel is clean, with comfortable...

I stayed here for 2 nights in mid Oct 2013. The staff are very friendly and although they struggle with English they try their best to help out. The rooms are basic but clean. The beds are clean and comfortable. The bathrooms were clean, had good water pressure and no problem with hot water. Free breakfast and wifi in the...

This is a dated hotel six stories tall, probably remodeled 15 years ago. It is in the heart of the city, with a ton of business just outside the front door. The breakfast is very good. The staff are anxious to help. Although I am not sure if it is connected to the hotel, there is a massage business on...

Attentive staff always willing to help. Great location. Clean rooms. Wi-fi available in the lobby (internet was relatively fast and reliable during our two night stay) , and lobby is comfortable with leather sofas and chairs. Plenty of choice on the buffet breakfast. Like much of Yangon the building may have seen better days, and the carpets have seen some...

The room had all the basic amenities you would expect from a 3 star hotel, but you pay 4-5 star prices for a developing city ($67 / a night). The saving graces of this place place is that the service attendants strive to give good service and the location is in the heart of the city.
