I had a nightmare staying at this hotel upon arriving from airport for quarantine. The staffs who we met at check in were very weak in English and shows no sign of hotel etiquette. They could be taught better skills with customers. What was supposed to be a lobby looks dead. The rooms looks nice in pictures but smells of mould. The decor is ok and stylish but not enough lights. The towels are worn but the room is spacious. What was most irritating is the electricity blackouts. Now you can expect this in Myanmar but surprisingly the hotel has no generator and after sometime my room felt like an oven. Imagine waking up in the middle of night to soaking sweat. The air-condition squeaks at times. The three compulsory meals we had tastes lousy and lacks care for guests. So if you are flying in to Yangon and you are to go to this hotel for quarantine, please I would strongly advise you to delay your flight to another date.…
Staying in this hotel is very recommended for you who wants to travel yangon..the location, the interior, the facility and the breakfast is so wonderful. You feel like staying at the 5 stars hotel but you pay less for that.
The Loft Hotel was a great first impression of Myanmar! It's a small but stylish hotel in a really nice area of the city. The large room we stayed in had a beautiful photo above the bed, rose petals scattered everywhere, good quality complimentary toiletries and best of all the bed was really comfortable! The staff were friendly and helpful.Everytime you go through the lobby the staff open the door for you, the manager says hello, in fact the service from all the staff is superb. There's a lovely little coffee shop next door which seems to be part of the hotel. It does great pastries, cakes and coffees and teas all day. We had a meal on our first night in the restaurant and despite only having a main course and 2 glasses of wine it turned out to be the most expensive meal we had during our 2 weeks in Myanmar!! The restaurant seems to be quiet and we were wondering if it is because its over priced. Food was very good and well presented, again the staff were lovely but maybe the prices are putting off the customers? Would definately stay at The Loft again. Diana and Richard …
We stayed for 3 nights in February in a duplex room. The room had a bathroom and lounge area downstairs and then a very big comfortable bed on a mezzanine above. It also had a terrace area with sunbeds and a wide and comprehensive range of toiletries. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast delicious. It was served to you rather than a buffet style and there were lots of choices such as fruit, basket of bread and pastries, cereal, pancakes and eggs. The hotel also has a little garden which you can sit out in away from the hustle and bustle of the street. The location couldn't have been better. It was a 2 minute walk to Bogyoke (Scots) market. 5 minutes to a Western style shopping mall which is opposite Bogyoke market (if you need a bit of a break from Myanmar style shops). It's 5 minutes walk to the nearest Circle Line station; 15 minutes walk to the Shwedagon pagoda; 20 minutes walk to China town; 20 minutes walk to the Sule pagoda and colonial. district. You can also walk less than 10 minutes to Yangon Yangon, a 21st floor bar with great views over the whole city. It has very nice and reasonably priced cocktails too.…
Friendly staff, big clean rooms. Excellent position in the City center. Very good breakfast and a n excellent restaurant is belonging to the Hotel too. I can recomand this hotel to all travellers with a better budget.
If you want a central Hotel in Yangon, small but attractive with charming staff at a reasonable price - look no further. We had 3 nights in the Loft Hotel and it proved an ideal place to stay. The Alex Restaurant which is part of the Hotel provided an excellent variety of breakfast. Our Room was big (although only the Deluxe option) and with a very comfortable bed and large bathroom with efficient shower. Look no further......
Room is stylish and clean. Location is very convenient within walking distance of the Sule pagoda. There are a lot of restaurants in the neighborhood. The staf is friendly and helpful. Great value for money
I very much enjoyed this hotel. The staff was friendly and spoke English. The bed was comfortable, but the pillow was a bit stiff. The room was clean and roomy--better than many of the local hotels in which I have stayed in Europe. They have a nice restaurant with a very affordable menu. The Shwedagon Pagoda is not all that far, but it is best to take a quick and low priced taxi. If you do not pay ahead, bring enough cash to pay for your room and save the 3%+ CC fee. The old colonial area is not all that far, and the Bogyoke Aung San Market is within easy walking distance. Just a 100 feet or so is a great coffee shop, and the Depending on your ability to walk, you can easily get there by foot and take it all in. Lastly, I never felt like the area was dangerous or unsafe. Everyone was friendly and courteous. Ultimately, I am glad that I went to Yangon and I am glad that I skipped the big-named hotel and stayed at The Loft Hotel. …
The Loft is the perfect Hotel if you want a small (32 rooms) boutique Hotel in easy reach of all attractions. Attractively presented, charming staff and the deluxe room proved to be a good size, comfortable bed and well equipt bathroom with good shower! The Restaurant attached to the hotel offered a good choice of breakfast, fresh and tasty. We would have no hesitation of booking the Loft again when in Yangon.
We wanted something near downtown and came across this inexpensive boutique hotel, it was great value for money. Room was stylish and clean; location was very convenient, within walking distance to Sule Pagoda, with good eating places around, and the manager of the hotel was very friendly and gave us good advice on where to go.
