One thing is for sure, it's probably the perfect place to stay for being close to the majority of Seoul's tourist sights. Also it's 100metres from Jongno 3 Metro station, which is on Line 1. To use the metro, buy a metro card from Seoul Airport and download the Naver App (as south Korea doesn't really allow the use of Google). Its really handy on knowing metro routes and times. The hotel itself is ok, given it's location. But, I'm not sure I'd say this hotel was an excellent one. The reason being is that the rooms are a little small and there's no breakfast included in the stay. But, apart from that, the rooms are clean, they have air con and the staff are really friendly.

Small hotel but has many nice qualities- very nice and helpful staff, water bottles, toiletries, have both heater and aircon. However the bathroom’s quite small and there is no shower curtain (or if they can make the dividing panel longer and seal and waterproof the bottom to avoid a wet floor after a bath). Washing machine and dryer are also available. Hotel is also very near subway, walking distance to ikseondong and its many eateries, also very near cheonggyecheon stream.

My friend and I stayed here for >10 days and we're so happy with our choice! (+) Location is superb! Palaces and markets are just a walk away (+) They quickly clean the room when we request housekeeping (+) They let us use the café at night as we had to work and they turned on the heating (+) They would check if we would work so they could prepare the café (so thoughtful!) (+) You can do your laundry for free (+) AC in the room, hot/cold water, neighbors are quiet (+) Will gladly stay here for 2 weeks when I return to Seoul *** I don't know how to use their hot/cold shower and there is not enough hot water if I shower in the morning (a lot may be using it or I may be on a higher floor) so I try to shower in the evening or when people are asleep. But it doesn't bother me. They're friendly and accommodating to the guests.

We stayed here for 5 days and it was okay. Bed is firm, pillows are soft, although not sure if they change sheets every day, but they make sure your room is clean by the time you got back. They also provide clean towels each day. They give you two free water every day, and there is a basement laundry area where you can wash your clothes. They have an awesome rooftop where you can take out food and eat, or just unwind in general. The unnie and ahjussi who greeted us in the reception spoke great English, but they also respond even with your broken Korean (nothing wrong with trying). The staff are nice and warm. They also let us leave our luggage and come back to it. This hotel also has a great location, it is walking distance (15 minutes) to Gyeongbokgung Palace (if you want to take the train, it is near the train station as well), Bukchon Village and Changdeokgung Place. The little alley where it is also has great array of Korean food selections. I do think I will stay here again if I come back to Seoul. A home away from home.

The location of the hotel is perfect to visit Seoul as it is very near to a metro station and some attraction can be easily visited on foot. The room was quite small but perfectly adequate. The breakfast was not exceptional but not too bad too. Kind staff at the reception and at the bar were there was the breakfast.

This is the one of the cheapest options among the highest rated accommodations in Seoul. It will not disappoint and you are guaranteed of a comfortable stay in a convenient location. It is situated in an alley but do not be taken aback by the surroundings. It is safe and quiet. Just a tip: If you are arriving with heavy luggages, consider taking the bus or a taxi as the elevator in the nearby subway station was tricky to find.

I would actually give this hotel a 4 plus rating. It is actually quite easy to get to if you follow other reviews of what bus to take from the airport. The stop you get off is just a 8 min walk to the hotel. The other convenient part is that the same bus that goes to the airport is across the street! It was not hard to locate even in the early morning hours. The front desk has the bus schedule and the bus was very punctual. The rooms are a tad small but clean. They could give you a few more hangers though. The bathroom is tiny and unfortunately when you run the shower, there is no guard strip on the floor to hold the water flow. So if you had placed the floormat on the floor, it would be sopping wet. The bathroom could use a few hooks for hanging clothing or wet towels. They do give you nice toiletries though. The roof top has a nice patio area and a good night view of Namsan Tower. The breakfast offering was decent, limited selection but sufficient to tie you over till lunch. Coffee offered really hit the spot. In summary this is a good hotel in a convenient location with the subway line not too far. I would definitely stay there again if I were to revisit Seoul.

Clean, walking distance to Insadong, Myeongdong, subway n eateries. Provide free self laundry, simple bfast, toileteries. Toilet is spacious, comfortable bed but the room is barely able to walk after opening a medium size lugagge bag, so think again if you are coming with many bags for shopping.

Grid Inn is in a great location tucked away in an alleyway only a minute away from Jongno 3-ga station exits 14 and 15. Yes, the rooms are small but the bathrooms are good, there's free water, tea and coffee and a fridge. Getting beers and snacks from a corner shop and spending some time on the roof terrace was nice. Breakfast is great and there are also free laundry facilities. Plenty of shops and a bank nearby as well as the restaurant areas of Insadong and Kwangjang Market. Being so close to Jongno 3-ga is great too as it is a useful station for getting to many areas of Seoul and further afield without too many changes.

I loved this hotel. Great location. Close to the station but also walking distance from some places. The hotel is very clean and the room was ideal. Breakfast was great for me, as I am unimpressed with huge buffets. The laundry was easy to use and free. Will definitely stay here on my next visit to Seoul.
