L'Escape Hotel garners acclaim for its French-inspired elegance, with guests frequently lauding the Parisian chic atmosphere and luxurious touches. The balance of opulent amenities and spotless accommodations with competitive pricing makes it a popular choice, and the attentive service only enhances its charm. Nestled in a prime location near Myeondong, the convenience for exploring Seoul is a highlight among reviewers. Although the rooms earn praise for their style and comfort, a few guests suggest the lighting could be brighter.

Unfortunately we only stayed one night and didn't have time to explore the facilities much but the room was absolutely gorgeous, very clean, and so comfortable! It felt like such a luxurious treat. I've stayed in a lot of hotels that imitate luxury but l'Escape is special. The decor in general anywhere we went was stunning. They kindly upgraded us to a large room with a lovely seating area where we spent most of the evening. My girlfriend took a bath and loved it (recommend getting a bath bomb from Butter in Myeongdong!) The bed might be too squashy for some but we slept very well. The room is a little on the dark, atmospheric side but a bonus is that the room is absolutely pitch dark with the curtains closed! Check-out was quick and easy, and the staff member who helped me offered to organise a taxi for me. There are so many convenience stores located around the hotel, and Myeongdong Shopping District is just a few minutes walk. Vegans/Vegetarians: We highly recommend Vegan Kitchen about a 15 minute walk away. I see some reviews saying the hotel is overpriced but I got a great discount booking in advance through the Korean app 여기어때/Yeogi Eottae. I didn't choose a rate including breakfast so can't comment on the price/quality.
Some small downsides: We weren't crazy about the voice-activated AI assistant in the room listening to us and speaking at random times. Also, getting to check-in was a bit of stressful... we kept getting conflicting information and sent back and forth with all our bags! I'd rather just queue for check-in than a get a waiting number and sent to a room in a different area. However, once we finally got to Lily at reception, everything went smoothly. She was absolutely lovely and gave us all the information we needed. Finally, a little disappointed that the tea room doesn't offer milk tea/breakfast tea. Earl Grey is on the menu though.
Overall, we really enjoyed our stay! It was very relaxing and comfortable. I'd wanted to stay at l'Escape for quite a while and it lived up to my expectations. I'd absolutely stay here again.

One of the best hotels stays
Beautiful & luxurious surroundings
From check-in at Club Lounge Peter's help
was exceptional Very professional, informative, and such a wonderful welcoming to a beautiful hotel
The food & drink variety in the club lounge was the best we have ever experienced in any club lounge. Large variety, gourmet, plentiful & the attention to detail by the chefs was a work of art
Our room was thoroughly cleaned daily & was lovely clean and replenished on our return from sightseeing, shopping etc

I was thrilled when George from the club lounge remembered our names and was genuinely interested in our day Very warm and friendly & extremely helpful

The hotel staff, food , location, elegant/ classy Decore is faultless!!!!
Definitely deserving a rating of 100% Thank you for a wonderful memorable stay

The rooms are big and comfortable, the location is good, right in front of the hotel, I think there are lots of restaurants, markets and bakeries under the building called Sheensgate. It is a very large and diverse place where you can meet everyone. food and drink needs. Behind the building is Queen Bakery, and all the food is delicious, and you can have as much breakfast as you want for four for $30. But the Inn even sells small essentials like toothbrushes, toothpaste and razors. Breakfast is ridiculously expensive: $40 and the same price for children.

Hotel was tastefully designed with a Parisian style and it can be seen in every corner of the hotel.

Generally, it was a comfortable stay but the room was too dark and there was no way to add extra lighting. Will be good if a choice of cool light is made available instead of just the warm light.

Went during spring and room was rather hot and stuffy but luckily the windows can be opened to allow natural cool air to flow in. The staff went an extra mile to make the stay more comfortable by adding a standing fan to the room.

However, quite a number of amenities are chargeable, like toothbrush and toothpaste. Others like coffee capsules and bottled water are also chargeable if more than 4 is requested.

Location was very good as it's in between Myeongdong and Namdaemun, within walking distances. Many restaurants and a few convenience stores are nearby too. But then again, the short walk to the hotel from the street is a rather steep slope. Not too convenient for anyone with walking disability.

After choosing a number of hotels with my boyfriend, I became fond of the atmosphere and the concept that would not be felt in other hotels. In the first floor, it felt nice inside, but when we arrived, the staff was kindly welcomed and it felt better to check in.
The check-in was assisted by the Daisy staff, who was so grateful that he laughed clearly and told me all the details and answered many questions kindly. I've never felt this good before wearing it!

And I was trying to take a look at the lounge when I saw that it was time to get ready and I was trying to go back, but Daisy staff helped me check the situation inside and let me see! Thanks to it, beautiful photos were saved and the beautiful interior was also visible.

When you enter the room, the spacious interior and the clean bed and the angle-adjusted TV are so good that the bathroom is really beautiful. For one night, once in the evening, once in the morning, I naturally got watered in the bath.

I went to Tissalon, and it was really delicious. I didn't see the employee's name, but the employee who was there around 4:00 p.m. on February 19 was very kind to help me from the Bakery description to the final calculation! We didn't find out anything, so we didn't think about a discount, but we helped get all the discounts so we could enjoy it even cheaper than we thought!

It was a short night, but I felt so good to stay! I will definitely visit again next time!

We stayed at L’Escape for 5 nights in Jan 2025. L’Escape is the epitome of a luxury hotel; the lobby, rooms and public spaces have all beautifully captured French elegance.

The hotel is conveniently located near Hoehyeon Station, and perfectly positioned between Myeong-Dong and Namdaemun Market.

We had the buffet breakfast one morning (delicious) and booked their happy hour evening buffet for three nights. We had only planned one, but it was too good and we had to return multiple times. The happy hour buffet included delicious food and premium alcohol. It is pure decadence.

All the staff were absolutely lovely. George, Irene (Su-Ah) and Jae-Jun were exceptional and took care of us throughout the stay.

We honestly wish we could have stayed longer and highly recommend L’Escape to anyone who wants to treat themselves while in Seoul.

It was our 1st trip to Seoul and we wanted a hotel with proximity to the train station, night food options and spacious room. We were frequent travelers and knew the importance of moving space in the room.
This hotel met all our requirements with added bonus!
First, the Hoehyeon Train right at the door steps (and proves to be strategically linked to all other lines!). A tip, you can use the same train exit to link all the way to Myeongdong street if you want to avoid the weather elements.

Being close to Myeongdong, we were able to grab the best of Seoul night food such as Korean fried chicken and other delicious street food as we return from our day trip. Even if we were late, the CU and 7-11 around were stocked well for our needs.

Checking in was a breeze and I met one of the nicest and charming gentlemen, Daniel. The lad was both humorous and helpful to our stay. He gave a good introduction of the facilities of the room and sensing our tiredness from our flight, did his best to check us in as soon as he could. 5 Star service for sure Daniel!

The room itself was huge! Thanks to Daniel, we were upgraded to a larger room and we could enjoy that space we needed to relax each night. There was 2 TV, 1 facing the sofa area and the other at the bed. Both had Netflix if you got tired of watching golf channels (loved all 3 of them)
The bath tub was gorgeous. It was placed in the larger bathroom area and you have the option to close out that room for privacy while you soak.
The room view could see half of Namsan and that was a great treat for us as we prepared each morning with a Nespresso each morning, courtesy of the hotel.

Every one of the hotel staff we met throughout our stay displayed the same professionalism as Daniel, from the concierge greeting us at the lobby daily to the cleaning lady in charge of our room. She greeted us warmly when we met and took extra effort to clean up our room each day. She laid out extra water daily (not just 2 but 5 and sometimes 6!), changed our slippers daily and even placed our toiletries on a cloth for added protection. The thoughtfulness was really deeply appreciated.

All in all, the staff of L'escape displayed top notch service deserving of their 5 star hotel rating. Will make i

We stayed here for 2 separate weekends, with a break in between, on both ocassions th service received when we checked in was wonderful, for both our stays our room was upgraded, the second time to a particularly stunning suite.

The location of the hotel is great, perfect for Myeondong shopping & eateries, next to the subway and not far from some of the stunning places of Seoul. The hotel itself is themed around a Parisian hotel and the decor of the hotel's main areas (check out the particularly stunning library and bar) and the rooms are gorgeous, spacious & with gorgeous rolltop baths - very Instagram worthy. It was also superb value for money, I stayed at the Westin in between for work and it was twice as much, with no charachter and also looking quite dated.

There are just 2 areas I would give feedback on, the cost of breakfast seemed exceptionally high, at around $45 SGD per head per day, I can't comment on the quality as we chose to have room only, the second element is you only get limited number of bottles of water - I think it was 2 for the first room & 4 for the suite, it's unusual for water to be limited in a high quality hotel, so I would suggest either reviewing this or having water filters to enable filling up of personal bottles.

This hotel is just delightful - the location is superb in the heart of Seoul, the Bus 6015 to ICN airport is 100m away and runs every 12 minutes. The staff are super friendly and helpful from the moment you appear on the doorstep, and escort you to reception. The room was the best hotel room I have ever stayed in and the breakfast was a perfect t combination of western and eastern dining.

Oh my gosh this place exceeded our expectations! The hotel is so clean and beautiful, all the details are stunning. The room was so elegant and cozy at the same time I couldn’t have asked for better! The best part was the staff. From how detail oriented housekeeping is, to the front desk/lobby people being so attentive, I was blown away. I was especially touched at how kind and helpful Daniel Park in reception was when I left my phone in the taxi. He used his phone to call the taxi driver to translate and help arrange matters for me to get my phone back. It felt like above and beyond kindness and I really appreciated it after such a stressful moment. Thank you L’escape Hotel. We’ll be back!
