What a stunning hotel! From the quirky statues out the front, the grand entrance and the giant sparkly spinning gun-toting bunny, this hotel definitely stands out. The rooms were immaculate, ultra modern and each one individually decorated. Super comfy beds and friendly helpful staff made me wish I was staying longer than one night. If ever in Seoul again this...

The hotel is located in a very busy area Itaewon with a lot of restaurants near by... I think this hotel is the best one in this area in term of cleanness and design of the room in addition to the affordability.. the price was very reasonable compare with others in same area

We stayed in a non smoking room. But through the night we could smell the smoke which kept my partner awake. The next day all of our clothes and luggage were smelling of cigarette smoke. It really was disgusting. Secondly we had to pay for an upgrade from a twin to a double. I am not sure what the upgrade...

Very nice hotel. Awesome decoration. Very close to food and bars. The LINE store is also across the street. If you are leaving back to incheon airport I do not recommend taking the shuttle across the street takes a very long time. Will definitely stay here again next time I'm in korea.

The hotel had improved and looked much better than during my last visit. The room was cleaner and in good condition. The Front Office staff spoke good English and were helpful. I accidentally left valuable in the lobby, and the staff took immediate effort to locate me and returned the item. I sincerely appreciated their services.

This hotel was very unique! The front desk staff was very helpful and spoke English very well. I was a solo female traveler on this trip visiting friends and felt very safe. The hotel is very close to the metro (just a short walk) so it is very easy to get anywhere in the the city. You are in walking...

Nice located hotel! But rooms need renovation and the carpets should be replaced everywhere in room. Terrible noisy from night club in basement on week-end. The concierge refused to call for taxi twice: 1. On Sunday (saying they can not call for taxi on week-end) 2. On Monday 4am (saying it's too early for taxi) Luckily there are always many...

I thought the rooms would be modern and sophisticated based on the photos on their website, however the decor is dated and the carpet is verging on shabby. It's convenient having English speaking staff, however most of the hotel guests are tourists and very few locals would stay here. Itaewon is quite centrally located and a short subway ride from...

After a week of sleeping in a bunkhouse with other people, I was in desperate need of a quiet, dark room. The IP Hotel was perfect. Very central, easy to find and close to subway. Friendly staff, clean and modern rooms. Despite it is in the heart of the city, rooms are very silent and soundproof; no disturbance from outside or from other rooms. Room service is neat too.

Staying in Itaewon

Neighbourhood Profile
Itaewon
Neighboring the immense Yongsan American Garrison, Itaewon was once shunned by locals as a seedy, red light district. But within the past few years, Itaewon and its surrounding neighborhoods such as Kyunglidan and Haebangchong have undergone a major revival to quickly become one of Seoul’s hottest areas. Here, trendy international restaurants dot the area alongside hip lounge bars and some of Seoul’s hottest club venues. After dark, Itaewon comes into its own as one of Seoul’s top party scenes. The crowd is a fascinating patchwork of all backgrounds and identities, including a small but thriving Muslim community (centered on Korea’s sole mosque), the LGBT community (with a string of popular bars and clubs), and a wide range of ethnicities and cultures scattered around. Those seeking a quiet respite should head towards the eastern end, in Hannam-dong, which not only has one of Korea’s best art museums, the Leeum Samsung Museum of Art, but plenty of mid-range to upscale restaurants and cafes.
