The IP in Itaewon is a fabulous location for restaurants, subway and the bus to/from the airport. Staff was ever so helpful 24/7. The dark hall ways were a bit unnerving. Keep in mind this hotel is located on Itaewon's busiest street so expect traffic noise. I stayed at this hotel when it was first renovated and I will say...

Great hotel I must say in Itaewon, good decoration with colors make you feel brighten as you walk in. The rooms is comfy, warm toilet and good system bidet. Only dark walkway from room make me feel spooky... Others is great, the service was efficient and warmth. The hotel also convenient located along the street of Itaewon, which make it...

Located in Itaewon- plenty of good spots to go to that have menus in English. The hotel has a modern appearance, reasonably priced and has decent size rooms. Staff speaks good English especially during the day shift. 2 subway stations about 5 min walk each from the hotel. Out windows were facing the main street but the room was very...

I don't know what some of the other reviewers here are looking for but this is one of the best hotels I have stayed in for a long time. Rooms big enough for 2, good bed, excellent bathroom, heated toilet seat, and nice warn RC air-conditioning. The staff were extremely helpful. No idea about the food as we ate out,...

Have to say that I had a good night's sleep in comfy bed, soft pillows, cosy quilt and quiet room at the side........but the "boutique" side, personally, I have never found perfect. Looks great on entering but living with it? To enter the loo, squeeze into space between shower&basin, then you can open the door to get in. Try wet...

Itaewon is a fun area to stay in Seoul, but it's still waiting for a great boutique hotel. Meantime you have the IP. It's a 5 minute walk to the subway. Rooms are quirky but interesting with open glass bathrooms (couples may not like the openness). Breakfast buffet was disappointing. Note the staff doesn’t provide much in way of concierge-type...

This a nice, modern hotel in a good location. The rooms have a very interesting design, with glass walls separating the room from the bathroom, lots of mirrors, and a modern feel. I guess the glass walls can be a problem if you share with a friend, but if you are alone or as a couple, it is definitely interesting....

First thing who come up is the convenient location! It's just where you're suppose to be. Itaewon, the funniest area of Seoul, full of clubs, restaurants and shops. Moreover, the subway station it's just 5min walk away and there is airport bus stop just across the street. So cannot ask more in terms of location. The hotel has a nice...

This place is great. Really modern and clean with great staff. Just far enough along the road in Itaewon to be away from some of the social "vibe" of the evening but only a few minutes walk from "world food street" which is a great place to go eating and drinking in the evening. We didn't use much of the...

Staying in Itaewon

Neighbourhood Profile
Itaewon
Neighboring the immense Yongsan American Garrison, Itaewon was once shunned by locals as a seedy, red light district. But within the past few years, Itaewon and its surrounding neighborhoods such as Kyunglidan and Haebangchong have undergone a major revival to quickly become one of Seoul’s hottest areas. Here, trendy international restaurants dot the area alongside hip lounge bars and some of Seoul’s hottest club venues. After dark, Itaewon comes into its own as one of Seoul’s top party scenes. The crowd is a fascinating patchwork of all backgrounds and identities, including a small but thriving Muslim community (centered on Korea’s sole mosque), the LGBT community (with a string of popular bars and clubs), and a wide range of ethnicities and cultures scattered around. Those seeking a quiet respite should head towards the eastern end, in Hannam-dong, which not only has one of Korea’s best art museums, the Leeum Samsung Museum of Art, but plenty of mid-range to upscale restaurants and cafes.
