My wife and I are regular guests at The Mondrian in Seoul. We love the chic vibe of the hotel, including the spa like scents and the chilled, groovy dance music they play in the background. The location is absolutely perfect, right in the heart of central Seoul, just north across the river from Gangnam. My wife usually park our car there during our stay, and then take short taxi rides to some of the great restaurants nearby in Hannam-dong or Seongsu-dong. We think that The Mondrian provides the best value for any hotel in Seoul. The rooms are very clean, comfortable, and have all the modern amenities you could expect. The service is also excellent, especially if you are an Accor member. During our last stay, James the duty Manager treated my family with kindness and showed his appreciation for us as regular guests. But, you can expect that kind of service even if it's your first time staying at this hotel. My recommendation is to just choose The Mondrian as it's the classiest hotel in the city. Also, the restaurant CLEO serves very high quality Mediterranean cuisine with Turkish flair. They have a good wine selection too!

I think it has the best software among hotels that I have experienced so far and among hotels in Korea. Of course, each hotel may have a different concept and atmosphere, but I could not help but admire the employees who wanted to take care of all the services they could offer, including early check-in, late check-out, room upgrade, restaurant reservation, and tier benefits. In the room hardware section, there were some regrets, such as the small room area compared to other hotels, the number of suites, and the installation of room bidets, but the staff service was impressive enough to offset these disappointments and it was too perfect to save praise. Especially thanks to Laura로라(frontdesk), I will definitely visit Mondrian Seoul again. If new hotels such as Yeouido Fairmont, Jamsil Sofitel, and Mapo M Gallery open in the future, even if they have lacking hardware, Mondrian's software will dare to tell other customers that it provided more impressive services than luxury hotel quality. Even if you look at other customers' reviews, the hardware disappointment may remain, but the contents that everyone praised in terms of software were 100% understood with just one visit. In addition, I would like to inform Mondrian Hotel's general manager of the compliment on the best service provided by all employees, including the professional figure of female bartenders and witty talks that can satisfy customers' curiosity. If such perfect software is maintained and hardware upgrades are consistently carried out in the future, I can guarantee that it will be the best Accor Premium Tier hotel compared to Grand Mercure and Pullman in Korea. I will make a re-visit to remember their (Laura로라(frontdesk), Blind spot bartenders) service again next time.

My friends and I spent the most beautiful evening at the Cabana Suite at the Mondrian Hotel on Sat, Aug 15, 2020. We loved that Cabana Suite was directly connected to the outdoor pool deck through the balcony door. With this suite, you get exclusive access point to the most beautiful outdoor pool in Seoul.
Not to mention its decorative art being tip-top in taste, we found the suite to be a perfect getaway to the most relaxing tropical wonderland in Seoul.
We were also impressed with our dinner at Cleo, a Mediterranean restaurant on the first floor of the hotel. Seriously, their signature mixed grille mezze is a must-try for everybody. The rooftop bar, Prestige, had a vibe of Charmaine's Rooftop Bar in San Fransisco. So charming and cozy!
We were so delighted that we chose Mondrian's Cabana Suite. We will definitely come back. Big thanks to all the staff who were very accommodating and had a warm and welcoming personality. We were treated like VIPs!

Nice hotel with the expected modern Mondrian design and cool vibe. Long queue to check in was a disappointing start, room was quite small but smartly designed to maximise space. Sadly, it showed a lot of wear and tear (scratched wooden floor, cracked tiles, mouldy seal) and shower leaked. Top quality toiletries, Nespresso capsules and water were offered on a complimentary basis. Bed linen and mattress was top class. Rate included breakfast but unfortunately, the restaurant only opened at 6:30am which was too late to catch our transatlantic flight. No in-room dining before 6:30am neither. After complaining about it, we were given some coupons for the Prestige bar which was good service recovery. Roof top bar was a unique venue with an amazing view, more focus is needed on attention to detail and service given the high prices. Roof toilets were a disgrace, what a shame to see the state at such high-end bar. Nice indoor swimming pool, do bring your swimming cap as it will be required. Overall, it was a good stay and we would certainly return should we come back to Seoul at some point in the future.

The room was too hot at 28.4 C(83 F) and the thermostat didn’t work. We complained to the front desk and it turned out that the AC was broken and the temperature could not be controlled. The window had to be left open to get a comfortable indoor condition…mind you the outside temperature was -9 C(16 F)…
House-keeping left the room door open one day!!! R u kidding me? Is this a motel??? I see from the reviews that this wasn’t the first time this happened.
The breakfast was probably the worst 5 star hotel breakfast I’ve ever had. Ours were included but definitely would advise against anyone paying for it. We tried both Korean(fish, meat), Healthy and Mediterranean. The worst was easily the Mediterranean(strange given the restaurant’s specialty)….it’s comical that it cost $33 with two pieces of pita bread. One day the server explained that the drinks were refillable. The next day, another server explained no refills on drinks. Staff seemed incapable of handling 60% restaurant capacity…they seemed more interested in setting up empty tables than serving the guests.
All in all, not a 5-star experience to say the least. Location is also not so convenient.

I'll begin with the positives and move to constructive criticism.
Check in was relatively quick and the clerks were friendly and efficient. Our room was very quiet, pleasantly decorated, and the bed was comfortable. The hotel is in a good location; a very pleasant ten minute walk to Itaewan. The basement features gift shops, a restaurant, and a convenience store.
On the negative side, the bathroom configuration didn't afford the user much privacy, with the sink exposed to the main area. While the room's main living area was sufficiently clean, the shower and toilet stalls had patches of grime and looked as though they hadn't been properly cleaned in some time. At the price point, there really isn't any excuse for this...
I realize this is subjective, but I found the ambiance in the lobby to be a bit jarring. The loud music and several very large video monitors contributed to sensory overload and, in my view, disrupted the hip, chic atmosphere the designers were apparently striving for.
Our included breakfast featured a choice among five or six options. I opted for the 'Mediterranean' and my wife took the 'American.' I was given only a tiny bit of pita bread on which to spread the very tasty hummus and babaganouche. I was afraid to ask for more bread after my wife was told that cheese could not be included in her omelet (if you can't get a bit of cheese in your omelet, it really shouldn't be called an 'American' breakfast).
It was a good stay overall, but the aforementioned issues were irritating. Obviously, the hotel's price was a factor in my three star rating. A lower price bracket would have merited four stars.

Wonderful, attentive, and courteous service, going above and beyond! This is the 3rd time I am staying at the Mondrian Hotel in Itaewon. I used to stay at the Shilla Hotel, which is also excellent, but the Mondrian Itaewon is my new favorite. The hotel and the rooms are stylish and immaculate, the hotel has a cool vibe with dazzling art installations, the guests are extremely diverse, ranging from stylish & hip to tourists and people visiting for international jobs. The staff make everyone feel welcome, so even if I am not as hip as some of the other guests, the staff always make me feel just as special.
I travel with my service dog, and the staff were exceptionally helpful. This is particularly notable because it can be difficult to find hotels in Seoul that accommodate service animals. Mr James Ellie was particularly attentive, personally escorting me to my room with my luggage and service dog to make sure that everything was well-taken care of and that there were no challenges to my disability with my accommodations.
I stayed at the hotel for 1 week, and by the time I left, it felt like a home away from home.

We came with a few of my other mommy friends for an overnight stay. From the moment we walked in to the moment we walked out, we were satisfied we were all very satisfied and our needs were met to the tee. They had a modern pool with a cool screen showing a beach somewhere and a gym that has all necessary equipment. The rooms are clean and well kept. The signature restaurant called Cleo served Mediterranean food that was absolutely delectable. This will most definitely be our hotel of choice for the next short getaway.

This hotel is impecable, from the main entrance to the elevators, and fitness facilities, this is five-star experience. More importantly, the friendly staff were always attentive to help guests after a long travel journey. Lucas & Bella at the Front Desk went out of their way to help me with printing train tickets, and providing water and snacks late after 1AM when everything around was closed. Staying at the Mondrian Itaewon is definitely a highly recommended experience. This is an honest review.
