Layout and design seemed to be similar across all Hotel Skypark chains. Stayed at Myeongdong 1 before going to Busan. Checked in to Myeongdong Iii after returning from Busan. Location of this hotel is very good - the subway exit is just in front of the hotel. Functional hotel, compact rooms and generally all the basic necessities are there. It is a no-frills hotel but is good value for money. I will consider Skypark chain of hotels in future visits to Seoul.
The location is excellent for shopping and dining. I wished someone had provided tips on which subway exit to take. Please take Exit 9 from Myeongdong station and the hotel is just 5 steps on your right. If you take the wrong exit, it may be a few hundred meters away as the station is huge. The room is dated but it’s clean and well maintained. The double bed is not comfortable though as it is 2 single beds put together and I could feel the gap in between. The sound proofing was good as I could not hear any traffic noise even though my room was facing the busy main road. The staff were friendly and helpful. The wifi in my room was choppy and weak. The breakfast was just white toast, cereals, milk, orange juice, choco pie and bananas. It’s the same stuff every morning. Given that I paid only very little, its price to value ratio is excellent, hence the 5 star rating. For the price I paid (less than USD200 for 9 days) I think it could be a challenge to even get a bed in a poorly located 16 bed dormitory. So this hotel is great value.…
I’m so grateful and amazed by the hotel staff’s customer service. Staff Lee Seung Woo helped and assisted me with the best possible customer service. My friend accidentally doubled booked the booking by accident and the staff Lee Seung Woo helped me with exceptional customer service. I would say it’s above and beyond. Hotel is very clean, and it is prime location. I will definitely come back to this hotel for exceptional customer service and the hotels’s location and how clean it is. It is also walking distance to Dong Dae moon shopping mall and Michele’s star restaurant ojangdong hameumgnangmyun. I appreciate this hotel. Best deal!
This hotel is OK and not what I expected overall based on the rating scale. I personally thing that this is more of a Motel 6 and should not be a 3 star hotel. Check in was pretty simple and quick. The gentleman was just OK. Looked like he had a bad day but not too friendly at all. He's more of what do you want, let me get you checked in so that I can get back to watching youtube on the computer. The bathroom sick was pretty worn out (rust was shown on the drain). There is very little extra floor space for our two suitcases to be spread out. We left the air conditioner on while we were sleeping but the air kept on blowing in our face. So the room was stuffy at night where it got to the point I had to turn it back on. Choices!!! Breakfast? I would not even call it that at all. Plain white toast, milk, cereal, coffee, hard boiled eggs, ChocoPie, boxed soy milk. It wasn't worth the trouble. Laundry room? Well washer and dryer was 2,000 won each but don't bother waiting in the basement while it finishes unless you want to be bitten by mosquitos and it was very stuff down there while the dryer was going. I guess I got what I paid for. Make note to myself don't make future reservations for Korea for 3 star hotels WiFi is OK but sometimes it was very choppy since you had to pick the correct floor you're on. FYI: Don't loose your room key unless you want that added to your bill. That I was not informed when I checked in…
Stayed here for the duration of our trip to South Korea. Rooms are small but nicely appointed. There is a breakfast restaurant at the hotel, or you can shop for warm bread from the Paris Baguette located in the hotel. Our favorite feature is the hotel basement where they provide a lounge with hot beverage machine, massage chairs, business center with free internet, large screen TV, and the most important thing - a coin laundry! You can do your laundry while browsing, or watch TV and enjoying a cup of hot chocolate. We picked this hotel for its proximity to the subway station. So convenient! Just remember that there is no escalator going from the subway station to the hotel, and be prepared to heave your luggage up the stairs. The subway really makes it easy to get around Seoul, or even to excurse to other cities. Other than subway station, the hotel location is close Myeongdong, a night market that opens until late. You can find almost everything here. From great food, to affordable fashion, and Korean cosmetics. And if you are planning to take day tours to locations around Seoul, many tour operators have pick up points within walking distance from the hotel. …
The staff is very nice and knowledgeable. They can speak very good English and able to answer all my question The room is very clean . They also provided free toothbrush and toothpaste Customer service is excellent .
This is our 2nd visit due to the nice location. However, this time round, the visit was not as pleasant as the 1st one. Other than location is very good. The staffs were not too friendly and not too helpful. Although the room is very clean, it is v small and the soundproofing is not good as well. Staff need to improve their service esp the the male staffs. Quite disappointing!!
Nice and cosy hotel. We enjoy our stay. Location also is good where it is near to subway exit and Myeong-dong shopping district as well as Airport shuttle bus station. And some pick and drop off point for day trip are nearby too. It is very convenient
This is by far the best hotel I have stayed in! Location is great, room is superb, but what made this hotel more special are the staff! Everybody is so kind & helpful! Will definitely stay here again when I travel to Korea.
Location is good, just 5 min walk and you will reach Myeongdong street which is very convenience for shopping and eating. The link way to subway station is just outside the main door of the hotel. Hotel arrangement by Chan Brother travel agent. Nice one!
