Getting there
Good for walkers
Places to stay are graded on a 0-100 scale. The higher the grade, the easier it is for travellers to find restaurants and things to do within walking distance.
New building, new hotel. Hotel location, room layout and size, breakfast, and parking were all satisfactory.
However, two problems occurred during the stay. 1. I put up a bed fence for the baby, but it is not fixed well. If you push it, it falls off and the baby falls off while sleeping. It is not fixed properly until you put the carrier in the middle and secure it to the wall. 2. Swimming pool is free for those under 48 months old, but since there are foreigners in the family, there is a fee if you don't understand it on the first day. The second day is free because you said it was less than 48 months. I mentioned it when checking out, but they said it could not be deducted because the amount had already been incurred. Usually they do everything, but it was a bit disappointing.

Excellent clean, comfortable rooms, with ample space. Very good breakfast and good staff assistance. Our only downside is that websites stated that a pool was available but this was only for those guests who had purchased a "pool package" as "the pool is very small". Great location for exploring the Yongsan area.

The good: - Comfy bed. - Near train station. - New hotel. - nice breakfast.
The bad: - Most receptionists were unfriendly and have poker face (maybe except for one receptionist faith). Waiters and chefs at the hotel's restaurant have much better service. Don't think it's common for bad hotel service in Korea as Courtyard Marriott Namdaemun had one of the best services amongst my hotel stays. Receptionists at ROKAUS is spoiling the reputation of Korea's hospitality in general. - Housekeeping is lagging. No water, toothbrush on one of the days, and no comb on the other. - bathroom has weird design. Unable to close the door fully

The hotel is close to Longshan Station and Xinlongshan Station, making it very convenient to go there. There is a GS25 convenience store on the B1 floor of the hotel, and next door is the Yongsan Jjimjilbang. There is also an I’Park Mall department store and emart supermarket at Yongsan Station, and there are also many restaurants, which is very convenient! The hotel is new, the lobby is spacious and comfortable, the staff's service attitude is very good, and the check-in and check-out procedures are very fast. There is a WOWPASS self-service machine in the hotel lobby which is very convenient. If you need to keep your luggage at the hotel after check-out, you can go to the self-service luggage lockers on the 3rd floor of the hotel. Free storage is provided for 12 hours, which is simple, convenient and easy to use. My wife and I were assigned to room 2706. The room was generally clean, bright and comfortable. We stayed here for almost two weeks and were very satisfied with our stay. And I would like to commend the staff on the 27th floor for handling our questions and needs very well during our stay, and tidying up and cleaning our room very well, making our stay very comfortable and satisfactory, especially Special praise to the waitress "Li Qian" on the 27th floor. Her attentive service attitude is even more impeccable! My wife and I were very impressed! This stay was my wife's birthday trip. This stay left us with a very unforgettable memory! My wife can’t wait to say she wants to come back to Seoul and stay at this hotel in April 2025. I hope we can stay there again by then. See you again!

I love the size of the room and size of the wardrobe area with sufficient space for luggage. It's very big for a solo traveler and it's very cozy. The location is very convenient with 2 subways stations within walking distance. The only downside is the sound from the next room when they use the bathroom or plug in something on the wall and also the refrigerator is very small. So I got woken up a few times early in the morning either from the guest or housekeeping. There was a sound at night in my room coming from the ceiling near the window panel when it rained one night at 2am and I couldn't sleep at all. But one thing I wanted to thank the hotel is that they really took action to get one when I told them that as tourists we needed a luggage weighing machine at the Lobby like some other hotels. The housekeeping was also as they did the basic job to clean daily. Without much problem. They did knock first before entering the room. The front office staff could speak and understand English especially the male staff but not all the female staff could. But they were polite and helpful. Except for 1 guy who couldn't even smile and he had this very grumpy face and his response was plain cold. He doesn't look very Korean. 😂 I also love how the hotel provided lockers for guests which I didn't use but it's very thoughtful for those who need to place their bags somewhere after checking out. The cafe and convenience store inside the hotel is a plus for snacks, drinks, etc. Coin laundry is also a very convenient facility especially for travelers who are staying for more than a week. But one thing the hotel needs to look into is the ATM machine. I was unable to withdraw money like I could at subway stations. I will go back to stay again next year.

We chose this hotel at it is brand new - just opened in April 2023 and we stayed in May 2023. The family room was cozy but slightly small. Location is convenient as it is right next door to Yongsan station. The Hybe building is walking distance from the hotel.

This was my first time visited Korea, and I stayed in this hotel on 31 may-5 june 2023. I was got confused on the first time I arrived because I can't find the reception and it was no staff standby to assist and directing. Apparently, the lobby area is on the 4th floor (press L in the lift). The first floor is only the bakery shop and concierge (but nobody was there when I arrived). And no any signage either.
The lobby area is modern and has a good interior. All of the staffs are all well mannered, friendly and helpful, some even speak good English.
The room size is not too big, but still fair. I like the bathroom with shower head. it was clean and the lighting of the room is good.
But unfortunately, the main reason I chose this hotel in this area was because I want to have a room with Han River view. It was named 'Standard Han River View Double Room', so I had a huge expectation it would really provided a good view of Han River. In fact, the building was not directly face to Han River (a little bit cross 45 degree) and was blocked with other higher surrounding buildings. and most disappointing, it doesn't have a full wide window, the window was separated by a thick wall in the middle. (I forget to took a proper photo, so I screenshot from my video to my boyfriend).
I asked the staff whether we could have a room with full wide window and he said that all rooms' window configuration are all same. so i feel my hussle was really in vain to intentionally move to another hotel since my previous hotel located much more strategically to my itinerary (and actually has a bigger room size and cheaper -- i consider this is more expensive because of the brand and the location).
The hotel location itself is actually very convenience because it has a direct bus stop in front of, and Yongsan station is literally across the hotel.
Another good point, it also has 24 hour of coin laundry in the building (cost 3,000 won for laundry and 3,000 won for dryer). u can directly buy the detergen+softener for 1,000 won in the vending machine in the laundry room.
Overall besides the Han River disappointing expectation, i can say that my stay experience here was lovely. The cleanliness of room, helpful and fluent English staffs were all great.

The hotels.com website headlines wonderful pictures of the pool, lists the pool as a facility to guests to sell the hotel. However the pool is not accessible to guests - only executive guests. It’s false advertising and the hotel ignored hotels.com calls to resolve the issue. Terrible service and illegal false advertising.
In addition check in was slow but acceptable, the ground floor entrance unattended and poorly signposted, no bar and no even restaurant or catering to July.
It’s not what your sold and customer service lacking.

NO POOL ACCESS FOR GUESTS - NO EVENING RESTAURANT UNTIL JULY
I appreciate this hotel is still in the process of opening and hence the reduced restaurant hours, no bar and unattended ground floor entrance but I was sold this hotel on hotels.com with amazing pictures of the pool, headline customer service and it being top notch. Checked in 24 May and was told there was no pool access unless you're an exec guest. This was false advertising on behalf of the hotel on hotels.com and complaint put in immediately. The hotel ignored the hotels.com calls to them to resolve it and provided no help. At the price there are many better hotels in Seoul and frankly any hotel which put pictures of headline facilities but lies about access on booking website needs a 1. Photo below of policies proving the swimming pool restriction.
I should also add, slow reception staff and slows lifts.
Choose elsewhere!!!
