JW Marriott's efforts on cleaning procedures and her precautions in place ensure a healthy stay. Her efforts are not only for guest room and common area, but also for individual hygiene. The property provides each room with personal sanitization kit (hand sanitizer bottle and disposable mask)
Under level 2 social distancing restrictions, all breakfast services and evening service of Executive Lounge are offered as a fixed a la carte menu. Breakfast is offered in the Executive Lounge on the 9th floor with 2 different styles (western and korean style). Evening Service (Dinner and happy hour) is offered in Flavors on the secod floor with lunch box style.
All dishes looked nice and were tasty, and the property was always keeping the same high quality level of her standard.Â
As a result, I could feel very safe and really enjoyed the good stay (Thanks to Ms. Celine for her kind and attentive service.)

We decided to venture out again after sequestering ourselves at home for the last couple of months due to COVID. We wanted to celebrate our anniversary as well as Thanksgiving. We decided on a staycation at the JW Marriott Seoul for two nights (26-28 November). We had previously stayed at this same property for three months (see previous review) and enjoyed ourselves immensely. This time, we recommended the hotel to the parents of our kids' classmates. Two families were able to join us on this trip. These families were also highly impressed by the hotel and the service.
From beginning to end, the staff of the JW Marriott Seoul took care of us and our new friends. Check in at the Executive Lounge was smooth and quick. Our supreme thanks to Ms. Jenny who was amazing from check-in to check-out. She greeted our family with a wide smile and was extremely friendly and accommodating. She is truly a gem for this property. We were able to briefly catch up with Phillipe and he was as friendly and hospitable as always. The service was so spectacular that our new friends in Seoul asked if the staff members were related to us. I guess that is the highest compliment when hotel staff members are compared to family members!
The other members of the Executive Lounge staff were also amazing during our stay. Special thanks to Sienna, Hanna, Linda, Alan, Tony, and Min for taking good care of us. Extra special thanks to Helen who was kind and patient with us and cleaned up after us during an especially hard core happy hour session. Sorry about the mess! We didn't know our new friends liked to drink that much!
Special kudos to Ms. Barbara who was great with the kids again. Our kids loved seeing Ms. Barbara again and she showered them with enough attention to make them feel so special! Also thanks to Flora who left us a very sweet anniversary/welcome gift in the room. We were upgraded via Bonvoy Suite Night Awards, so those upgrades are still working! The room was immaculate and had plenty of room for us. Every request was responded to in a quick manner and we had no complaints!
COVID protocols were excellent and we felt safe at all times. There is a temperature scan at the entrance of the Executive Lounge. Please also remember to use the disposable gloves when getting food at the Executive Lounge. The few people who did not use the gloves were given gentle reminders by other patrons and the staff. A reminder as guests enter the Executive Lounge could prove useful for those who forget.
After we checked out and were driving out of the parking lot for home, my daughter told me that the staycation was awesome and she felt like she came home for the short time we were at the JW Marriott. My daughter is 6 and can't tell a lie, so I know that she really felt comfortable and at home at the JW Marriott Seoul. Thanks again to the wonderful staff for making us feel at home! You have done it again!

Our family had stayed at this hotel before, and we decided to pay a visit again because we wanted to see all of the changes that have been made after the extensive renovation process. Unfortunately, it was not a memorable experience.
Even though I am a Titanium member, we were not upgraded to a better room, which was rather disappointing. However, it
would appear that many hotels
in Seoul seem to be rather stingy about extending room upgrades to Elite members. More surprising, however, was the fact that the toilet seat in the bathroom would not stay up, which is not something you would expect to encounter at a supposedly upscale hotel. The
solution was to remove the toilet cover so that the seat would stay up. Needless to say, all of this struck us as rather odd.
The executive lounge was very
crowded during our stay, seemingly with people on various packages, and the
service seemed to be rather spotty at times. Due to the large number of people during breakfast, the single chef at the eggand noodle stations seemed to be overwhelmed and had trouble keeping up with all of the orders. The presence of noisy young children/infants also detracted from the whole
experience. In addition, we found it odd that children over 3 are charged 50,000 won
plus tax to access the lounge, as
this is not something we have encountered at other Bonvoy hotels.
Overall, our stay was not the experience we were hoping for, and I doubt we will be staying here again.

So so experience. This used to be my fav hotel in Seoul.. not sure what happened
I review hotels for a living. I used to love this hotel, but they recently downgraded to lower quality soap and toothpaste. So that was kind of sad.
I also feel like the service and quality of food and temperature of food in executive lounge is poor for 100,000 won per person.
The Margaux grill dinner experience on Tuesday October 27th was very disappointing. We had to ask for butter .. to go with the bread because there was no butter placed on the table. When we ordered the dinner set, I asked for some tea to come with the dessert and the waitress brought the tea and my friends coffee right away even before first course. So they are kind and polite but don’t really know what you’re saying in English. They try their best.
Also scallops are low quality. Vegetables are done perfectly and taste great.
I still like this hotel overall better than jw dongdaemun, the front desk, gym staff, bell boys are TOP and on point. Amazing. And I still enjoy using the fitness center and sauna and steam room.
Executive lounge and dinner experience at grill need some training ASAP. My lunch experience has been pretty amazing at the grill. But I won’t dine there at dinner again and also won’t go to executive lounge again.

I stayed there from July 19th ~ 23rd, 2022. Excellent location, friendly staffs, very good value for money... That was my impression until Friday morning. Come Friday afternoon, the hotel turns into some kind of carnival ground. Instead of going away, many Seoulites choose 5-star hotels as their weekend getaway destinations. The executive lounge is full of families with small children (very noisy), and you are allowed to swim just once a day on a reservation bases. The swimming pool is packed with fitness club members who are given preferential treatment over hotel guests. The hotel is not very international business traveler friendly on weekends.

This fall, my wife and I decided to celebrate our anniversary by visiting the city of Seoul, and for that, we chose Jw Marriot Seoul. It was a family trip, our first time in the city of Seoul, which left a pleasant impression, together with the hotel.
The hotel is located very close to the metro and bus station of the city, which makes it very easy to access from the airport and very convenient since you can take a taxi, use the metro or use the bus station.
We stayed in the suite, which is cozy, elegant, and with adequate space and an impressive view of the city of Seoul. The suite has a living room, desk, a secondary bathroom, and mini bar and in an area separated by a wall is the main room with its private bathroom. I was staying in the five-star larger suite river view, which was listed as one of their best rooms for business travelers.
I was impressed y all of the staff within the hotel; even when I asked if they could organize a special menu for me due to a peanut allergy, they were able to arrange everything. I greatly appreciate the time and dedication that each employee, especially Jeff Kim (Director of Rooms), had with me during my stay at the hotel. The attention was excellent.
The hotel has luxurious amenities. We were able to enjoy the spa, jacuzzi, and swimming pool. The hotel facilities also have a tennis court, an area to play golf, a mini soccer field, all within the hotel. Also, the buffet has a wide variety of dishes and is located in a pleasant, quiet environment with a beautiful view.
It was a pleasure for my wife and me to have been enjoying a vacation at the JW Marriott hotel, a pleasant and unforgettable experience.
The hotel is located very close to the metro and bus station of the city, which makes it very easy to access from the airport and very convenient since you can take a taxi, use the metro or use the bus station.
We stayed in the suite, which is cozy, elegant, and with adequate space and an impressive view of the city of Seoul. The suite has a living room, desk, a secondary bathroom, and mini bar and in an area separated by a wall is the main room with its private bathroom. I was staying in the five-star larger suite river view, which was listed as one of their best rooms for business travelers.
I was impressed y all of the staff within the hotel; even when I asked if they could organize a special menu for me due to a peanut allergy, they were able to arrange everything. I greatly appreciate the time and dedication that each employee, especially Jeff Kim (Director of Rooms), had with me during my stay at the hotel. The attention was excellent.
The hotel has luxurious amenities. We were able to enjoy the spa, jacuzzi, and swimming pool. The hotel facilities also have a tennis court, an area to play golf, a mini soccer field, all within the hotel. Also, the buffet has a wide variety of dishes and is located in a pleasant, quiet environment with a beautiful view.
It was a pleasure for my wife and me to have been enjoying a vacation at the JW Marriott hotel, a pleasant and unforgettable experience.

3rd time staying here and once again we really enjoyed our stay! The property is very modern and beautiful, amazing customer service and friendly staff. Had breakfast here as well and it was wonderful. The room is very clean and comfortable but the bathroom is a bit outdated and some parts of the room (ie doors, baseboards) could use some updating. The best part about this property is its location! It’s conveniently located by a huge department store (Sinsegae) with many shops and restaurants, very close to pretty much everything. Will be returning again for our next trip.

We recently had a 5 night stay at the JW Marriott Seoul (JWS) after much research of all of the other Marriott properties in Seoul and we are beyond happy with our choice . From the helpful valet service, to the handsome doormen who bow to you as you walk in, to the beautiful women with perfect presentation without a single hair out of place, this property is a class on its own.
We are fortunate enough to receive platinum benefits and the executive lounge at the JWS far exceeded our expectations. Every guest is treated with a genuine kindness and warmth that you feel invited and privileged and I’ll admit (spoiled rotten). I would recommend you upgrade your room with executive lounge (EGL) if you don’t have access already. The EGL is phenomenal in terms of quality of service and food and the space itself is incredible fit with an excellent buffet, endless drinks constantly refilled, and plenty of places to be seated beautifully decorated in modern design.
The facilities are also nothing short of amazing. The gym and spa is a must. Unfortunately due to an injury I was not able to take advantage of the facilities, but I for sure will my next stay.
The rooms are spacious and clean and even the housekeeping service are gracious.
There is an array of shopping just downstairs with hundreds of shops. And a food court with generous options.
Transportation is convenient if you prefer to take the train or bus.
We cannot think of a single flaw here at the JWS. We thank GM Mr. Silvio Rosenberger and Sophie, Director of Quality, for making our stay one to remember. We particularly are thankful and humbled by the service of everyone at the EGL working tirelessly to make every guest feel like royalty. Thank you and see you again.

Great hotel and service.
They went above and beyond with service, upgrades, and helping make this stay memorable. This trip was a trip for my mother's birthday and the hotel staff made sure we had a perfect stay. Jenny, the FO Manager was especially generous and helpful during this stay.
I was able to get reservations made for Flavors months beforehand through the hotel staff even though I had a large group. There were no suite rooms available at check in but I was able to get upgraded mid-stay when they became available with only my Platinum Elite status (which has become pretty common). I was also able to use Marriott gift cards purchased in the USA as well.
The location is right next to all types of different shopping. The hotel is attached to high end shopping malls and across the street at the bus terminal there is more affordable shopping.
Breakfast at the lounge has a limited menu but they make the most of it by having a great menu and utilizing a good layout in the buffet serving area.
