I was there for a conference and it was the only option we were given by the organizers. The facilities are good, with a good view of Seoul. There is also a bank within the hotel with good exchange rates.
In the restaurant, they do not have any consideration for those who do not eat pork. This is very absurd especially when hosting international delegations.

As we were going the next day to the DMZ Tour near the North Korean border, we decided to rent a night in this hotel. The hotel is clean, the rooms spacious and for the most we managed to get a good sleep.

The next day on check out; the staff never greeted us (not even a smile) and he is the one actually checking me out (but South Koreans are generally rude and Xenophobic) no point working in a hotel correct? since you'll have to see us stinking foreigners all day long right? :)

The room was good as I mentioned but the walls are made out of paper as I had to listen personally to everyone business around me. Right around 1:00 am and regardless of the noise, reception did nothing (probably cause I am a foreigner I assume), but I went to the neighbor and straighten the situation on the spot. After this was all good.

Overall the staff in this hotel are arrogant and do not like foreigners. No news in South Korea.

Strange for a country whose entire security and lifestyle depends on our Western Armed forces and protection.

Good size room, spacious and comfortable, very convenience, next to citystar mall underground entrance which link to cityhall station, 15mins walk to Myeong Dong Street. Recep are helpful. Hopefully the Front Door Assistant could offer their help guest to bring down their heavy luggage especially for ladies or elderly

Careful when booking through Agoda. We book 4 rooms. I tried to book for 8 people but the app would not allow it. So a booked 4 rooms including breakfast. Made a slight mistake in haste and made the occupancy for 4 people.

Although there is no price difference on Agoda for two or one person per room the hotel charged each extra person for breakfast costing 120 dollars.

I asked for consideration but neither Agoda or the hotel were able to assist.

It’s a sneaky loophole where websites make things a little more convoluted to make a buck.

Highly inconsiderate.

Perfect location. Many attractions were within walking distance and there are lots of shops and restaurants nearby. Myeongdong is about a 15 minute walk away. The bus stop to and from the airport is also only a couple of feet away. It’s an old hotel but everything is kept in order. Our hotel room was spacious and kept clean. Internet was good, which was essential to me since I needed to get some work done. The staff were very helpful, they attended to our every need. The main reason why I chose this hotel though is the gym. I need to have a decent workout while traveling, and when i asked around this is the hotel with the best gym in the area. It’s actually a commercial gym located in a hotel which hotel guests had free access to, so it had everything I needed for a complete workout. A far cry from the sorry excuse for a “fitness center” found in most hotels. It was a pleasant stay overall and I highly recommend staying here.

I stayed here because the starting point for a DMZ tour was right around the corner. The Hotel President is centrally located right near Seoul City Hall with easy access to other downtown points of interest. The room was neither great nor bad; I thought it was decent value for the money.

Location is good. Lobby looks glamorous. I booked a Quad room for my family of 4. Room 2201 looks really dated. There was renovation going on in Room 2101, which we were not informed. Every morning at 8.30am we were rudely awoken to noisy knocks. They should have informed me when I made the bookings, so I can chose whether to go ahead to stay. Even when I complained to front desk , the guy said reno work should start at 10am, the noise still started at 8.30am next 3 days.

The hotel has a great lobby and great location. Most of all, I love their breakfast the most.

It is walking distance to both Euljiro and City Hall stations of the subway. The view from my hotel room was spectacular. It was at the opposite of the Seoul Tower, but the buildings and one of the palaces are very clear from my location.

I noticed though that the construction in front of the hotel is creating too much unnecessary noise in the morning. Shouldn't be a problem if I wake up early, however, my tours are DIY and mostly from lunch until midnight so I needed to sleep in the morning. The crowd in the city center watching FIFA world cup are quite noisy and we can hear them from the hotel hahahaha.

Nevertheless, the hotel is highly recommended. Maybe until the early months of 2023, best to choose rooms opposite the construction site.

I stayed here for three nights as a part of a conference held at the hotel. The rooms were clean and nice. There was a lot of space in the room, which was pleasant for working. It was easy to walk to a number of nearby restaurants, cafes and bars. Breakfast was fine, as were other meals that I had in the hotel as a part of the conference. Overall, I think the location makes the hotel worthwhile.

the hotel is in a good location and the price was pretty low.
The hotel is old but not too old to be uncomfortable.
The breakfast is not big nor fancy but has essential items which were good.

the first room I got was cold but hotel changed the room.

The noise can be an issue. Street noise (bus, etc) and noise from next room can be heard easily.
