The location is the center of Seoul, so it is very good, and there are tremendous benefits for Accor membership members. Rational prices and clean facilities always make us happy. Clean and delicious breakfast and convenient sauna facilities will also satisfy business customers.

Due to Covid-19 outbreak in 2020, it is unavailable to enjoy holiday abroad. My husband and I decided to tour hotels in Seoul. Mercure Seoul Ambassador Gangnam Sodowe has offered quite reasonable pakage for visitors. I booked for brunch pkg. I asked for a better view of gangnam side through booking.com. Hotel offered a room with such a great view :) higher floor is better for a view. And Sauna acess is including in the room rate. Also, got coupons for free drinks! Staffs are lovely and friendly. Worthy of the price for sure. I'd like to come back oneday soon.

This hotel is very consistent in terms of the quality of the rooms. They are clean and well kept, and I've never had a problem in this regard. The main issue here is that the air conditioning system is centrally managed, meaning they tend to keep it turned off more often than not even on warmer days in the spring. I stayed here last weekend and the temperature in the room was about 28C/82F when I got in. Because the system was turned off for the whole building there was nothing I could do to lower the temperature except open the window, but because the hotel is off of a main street the noise was too loud for me to sleep. This is a problem with other hotels in Seoul as well, not just this location. If you want to stick with Accor and go with a room by room air conditioning system go with Novotel Ambassador which is in the area.

A stay of 9 nights in November, when I joined my husband on a business trip to Seoul. Rooms are small, but functional, we stayed in an executive room on the 20th floor, with views of Gangnam. This room type also offered access to the club for light dinner and drinks in the evenings. Hotel was very conveniently located to a metro station, a short 1-2 min walk. Yes, the ride to the other side of the river where most of the attractions are located is aprox 30-40 min, but public transport in Seoul (especially the metro, which I used extensively) is great, clean and very convenient. There are plenty restaurants in the area as well as shopping around Gangnam station which is 10-15 min walk downhill from the hotel.

We stayed there for 5 nights during our friends wedding. On the 3rd night, were were exploring the business center in the lobby and my one year old's hand got stuck under the glass sliding door. It was not automatic and did not have a fail safe. We can to find the button to even get his hand out. NO ONE from the lobby came to ask if we were okay or offered any assistance! We quickly rushed back to our room to wash off the blood looking for first aid. Then I had to come ask for first aid help to stop the bleeding! Long story short, they did NOT pay for taxi to the hospital, did NOT offer assistance, did NOT apologize! We spent nearly 9 hours in the ER in a foreign country with a one year old who had to get 3 stitches. In the end, I requested the hotel nicely to at pay for the medical bill and put a sign warning foreigner on the manual sliding door and potentially hazards. They refused to write or provide a copy of an accident report to document the situation even though we had witness and a cctv in the lobby. The first offer of compensation after my request was 2 free of our stay plus a taxi to the airport, but since we were not paying for the rooms, I requested getting 2 nights in Accor reward points, which I thought was reasonably. The answer I get back?!!!! 4,000 Accor points which is equivalent to 40euros and no taxi to the airport?! If this happened in the US, they would be proactive going above and beyond. Is this how Accor Hotel in large cities conduct their business?! No call or email from management after leaving my contact info! They also tried to charge us for not returning a plastic reprogrammable key card which cost like 1 cent in the US to purchase on the hotel side (I'm a hotelier myself). I cannot believe the trauma and treatment we had experience in a large city like Seoul and a brand like Accor. We will be taking legal action. DO NOT ever stay at this hotel ever!
