Stayed for 7 days in this hotel with my wife. The stay was average but location pretty good for shopping and close to bus ad train stations. Good restaurents are nearby. The hotel is run by chinese and although had difficulty in speaking in english but very much helpful. Greatful for their service. unless you are looking for budget, you can choose better hotels in this area.
This hotel is located in the most famed Myeongdong. Within walking distance to Namsan Mountain, N Seoul Tower, Myeongdong Night Market and Myeongdong Shopping Street. We were given room at ground floor but were very smelly. Maybe from the piping at the bathroom. The staff were kind enough to give us a different room at a higher floor. Less smell. But for the cheap price per night and prime location we were happy guest. We were given towels and toiletries. The room were equipped with hot shower, heater, wifi and a tv. Could improve to have a english speaking staff. Staff at counter couldn't speak or understand simple questions.
We got a room with no windows which I never like. Room 106 is small, but the facilities were fine. The receptionist didn't speak a word of English, so we had to use sign language. It is not very far from a subway station, exit 4 (about 5 minutes walk). It is very close to the famed Myeongdong Night Market, Shinsagae shopping mall and N Seoul Tower.
I had a one and a half day stopover in Seoul and just needed a place to sleep for the night. This little inn is up a small hill one minute from the main road of Myeongdon, the main shopping/dining area of downtown Seoul. The room was small, but it was clean and had the following amenities- A/C, ensuite bathroom w/hot water shower, shampoo & soap, refrigerator & hair dryer. There was also a nice plasma TV but the guy at the desk couldn't figure out how it worked (I noticed later the outlet strip was dead, and the TV plug didn't reach to the next working outlet!). No big deal, I was happy to walk down the street into town to explore, shop and eat some great Korean food. I'd recommend this place to any backpacker who wants a clean, inexpensive place to stay.
