I stayed here 9 days in October 2022. Unfortunately, for 7 of those days I was under a Covid quarantine. Although I didn't see or utilize much of the hotel other than the 4 walls of my room, I felt I needed to write a review about the wonderful staff. I made arrangements for the staff to provide me meals. The hotel restaurant is currently closed, but the got "take out" every day for me. I didn't even need to call down to the desk; they called me and asked me what I wanted which was delivered to my room always in less than 30 minutes. They offered to get me anything else I needed for "my condition". Staff left clean towels, water, and plenty of tea bags at my door every day. I can't think of a nicer hotel in which to be quarantined.
This review is well overdue. This was my first time visiting Seoul and I was not disappointed with the lodging. Pacific Hotel was great. The front desk were amazing and extremely helpful, especially Kim Young (I hope I spelled this correctly.) She went above and beyond her call of duty. I needed to go to another city by subway and she provided a thorough directions in what stops and subway to take. The other staff were amazing as well but since Kim was the only one who spoke English clearly (the others tried which is an A in my book) she made it easier and pleasant. Our room was clean although there was a weird smell in the bathroom that wouldn't leave and the sink's hot water never heated up. Hollys coffee was connected to the lobby so it was easy to get our morning coffees and the convenance of the location to Myeondong shopping, Seoul Tower, and Lotte Shopping Center to name a few was perfect. Overall, this place is wonderful and the cost is right on the money. We highly recommend this place to anyone.…
I stayed at the Pacific Hotel on a recent trip to S. Korea. Since it was the first hotel on the guided tour, I decided to stay here a few days ahead of time to see more of Seoul. It was an excellent choice. The location was ideal. There were many restaurants, convenience stores and a metro stop within easy walking distance. The breakfast buffet was very good. There were typical Korean dishes and western ones. The front desk staff was the best I have ever encountered. So if you find yourself in Seoul, you really can't do much better than the Pacific Hotel.
Very nice and clean hotel. Location is superb just opposite the famous Myeongdong shopping stretch. Super convenient as subway right at the door step. Lots of eating and shops and convenient stores around the hotel. The moment you walk into the hotel it allures you with a fresh and pleasant smell. Hand sanitizer are placed all over the hotel. It just goes to show the hotel emphasis on cleaniness and hygiene. Big and very clean room. We stayed 5 days in a quad room with 2 huge TVs, totally enjoy the stay in this hotel. Very highly recommended. Did not eat at the hotel breakfast buffet so no comments. Lots of eateries around the hotel, so plenty of choices for food.
The hotel is near the seoul tower just 2 km walk, lots of restaurant nearby, opposite of the popular myeongdong night market, 1 minute from the train station, lots of positive points, hotel is spacious, good breakfast lots of option for breakfast.highly recommend..
Staff are very friendly and helpful, most of them can communicate in english. Location is very convenient, only 2 minutes walk to the railway entrance! Room is clean, just that i don’t like the reusable slippers provided.
My first time in Seoul and this is the hotel we chose as it is near Myeongdong area but not in it per se which is quite good since it could get too busy in Myeongdong. It was near a North Face store and two convenience stores, if you don't want to be bothered walking to the Myeongdong side. A big Daiso store is also walkable. The room we took had a single bed but I was surprised how spacious it was, this is in relation to having only two people. It was easy to book a taxi from here. You just have to walk near the Myeongdong train station Exit 4 and you could hail a taxi from there. I think we got a taxi in less than 5 minutes in 2 occasions. It is also near a pick-up point for a tour going to Nami Island which you should book in advance. The bus picked us up at Myeongdong station exit 4, in front of Mcdonald's. When we go out in the morning and come back at late in the afternoon, the room is pristine and the towels have been replaced with fresh ones even though we did not ask for towel replacements. There are also the usual complimentary water bottles. Good hotel to stay in!…
A stay started in a bad way which ended even worse! On arrival we had to change 3 rooms before we got the least worst bedroom . The previous rooms were all dirty ...hair in the bed, dust everywhere, old and broken forniture... I was unwell in paint with my back and leg. The supervisor on duty offered me a room with a tub rather than a shower...i could barely walk, or raise my right leg!!! Rather a careless approach... Then the last room Given, could only be' reached by climbing or discending some steps!!!! It was a backside room not accessible with a lift...staff called it the secret room! Last day we ordered a packet b/fast and we were told it was possible. We placed the order by choosing what we wanted. In the morning we were offered a couple of yogurt but no spoons! 2 Apples but no knives, 2 pieces of bread...nothing we had Chosen the day before , was provided in the morning. We left it at reception and asked for a b/fast refund. At reception the staff was unable to process the refund and asked us to send an email.then we would have been refunded. I sent a letter to the hotel and i was ensured about it. See pictures. After months we have not been refunded yet!!! Another proof of inconsistent service. In addition to this, anytime we would ask for information at reception, we did not get any. Staff were Young and unexperienced, with no proactivity or problem solving skills. I would Never stay in that hotel again ! Neither i would recommed it if only for its location, which is convenient to the shopping area. See pictures which prove what written .…
We stayed for three nights and in general were very satisfied with this hotel. Arriving at about 7 am after a night flight from Manila, we were told we would have to wait until 2 pm to check in because the hotel was full (to be fair, I think this is the normal check in time). The receptionist told us she would send an email if we could check in earlier (no Korean sim), so we settled in chairs in reception and tried to sleep. At about 10, when I saw there was a change of shift at reception, I went and asked about our room, and was told "Your room is ready". Whilst being happy to be able get the room early, we did wonder why someone hadn't informed us. But in general, we found reception to be exceptionally helpful. Room was spacious, comfortable, with plenty of storage. Very well designed. Location is very good - 10 minutes walk to market area. Also there are several small restaurants, pubs, cafes, within a minute or two of the hotel. One negative point (which is not really the fault of the hotel) - what we thought was the hotel bar (off the lobby) didn’t belong to the hotel and we were totally ripped off. We were charged 4 or 5 times the normal cost for 2 local beers. We did complain at reception and later someone kindly came to our room and refunded the 'tax' - which I think was 4,000 won. He was very apologetic, even though it wasn't really the hotel's fault. All the same, beware! The hotel 'bar' is an independent entity and seemingly meant for business meetings. This hotel is highly recommended and we would definitely stay there again.…
I got a high floor with king size bedroom. Everything is clean except the sofa with dirt marks. Air condition is a concern, maybe too old before renovation, you will find your air conditioner is not working sometimes, sometimes it will work again. Contacted staff and they just say maybe overloaded. But the location is good, metro exit no. 3 with 1 to 2 mins walk. Many good restaurants next to the hotel including the famous Isaac Toast store.
