Hotel has a small room as expected. Beware they didnt clean up your room. That's very dissapointing. When I go back at night, all are still messy. Then go back down to lobby to complaint, the receptions on the night shift only say sorry, then when I say will give bad review, he just said he dont care. WTF! dont stay here, the service was awful. 😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡

To be honest, it wasn't the hotel I thought I was staying, but it served me well. The only disadvantage is that is is further away from the central part of Seoul, like Myeongdong, but still walkable. The room was rather tight, especially with two big suitcases, but manageable. I loved the view from two opposite sides of the room, straight up from the street. The staff was always friendly, helpful, and courteous.

PROS (CHECK THE CONS - REALLY IMPORTANT - how my earrings got stolen) The hotel was easy to find after getting off the airport bus. The stop is located close to the hotel. The room is spacious, and the bed’s comfortable. Bath tub’s included. The hotel’s close to Gwangjang market. CONS The hotel is between three subway stations but not close enough. I had to walk at least 10 mins to get to any of the stations. I paid extra for breakfast but ended up not eating in the lobby anymore. There isn’t a variety of dishes, and they are mostly the same every day. Most of the dishes are supposed to be for lunch. For example, there were mapo tofu, fried rice with black bean sauce. There were not enough healthy choices. I had to purchase a razor, toothbrush, and tooth paste. The front desk people cannot speak English. There was an issue with the telephone. I tried to call the front desk by pressing the front desk button, but no one picked up, so I ended up going downstairs and asked for help. The staff told me that I need to press zero instead of The front desk button. Housekeeping was excellent until the second last day of my stay in Korea. Since I had an ear infection due to my earrings, I left them on the table before I left the room. I came back and realized they were gone. I asked the front desk about this matter. The staff atttempted to help (checking the room while I was gone) but chose not to take any responsibilities. I ended up rechecking the room on my last day of 2019, feeling UPSET. I ended up losing my first birthday present (from my boyfriend) in a hotel. It was disappointing how they chose not to do anything at the end. I have NEVER had a problem with losing things in a hotel room until this one. WHILE I was trying to find my earrings from the room, I realised the housekeeping was not done properly. I found an old and empty Pringle container underneath the table. Found used lip bum underneath the bed I used for a week (Have the photo as evidence).

This hotel is within a short distance to the train station which makes it convenient. The immediate locality is not touristy. Full of textile shops and repair shops. The restaurants nearby do not even cater for tourists. There is a famous market near the hotel but they sell more or less the same kind of food. I don't think many visitors would enjoy that type of food unless you are really into some of the local food. Dongdaemun is walkable from the hotel. Lots of clothing shops and also a art centre. The city wall museum is also worthwhile visiting. This may not apply in the midst of winter or peak of summer. You may not want to walk during those times. You can walk up and down the stream if the weather is good. You can take a train to Myeongdong which is just a few stops away. Myeongdong has more food choices. The hotel has decent sized rooms and is well maintained. Good things about the hotel: Quiet area yet accessible due to train station Walkable to Dongdaemum and stream. Good price Decent rooms Not so good things about the hotel: location may not be the most convenient for some people Hotel staff not really that friendly or helpful eg. when u need a taxi.

Stayed 5 nights October 2019 in a superior family room, location is good with Jongno 5 metro station(exit 12) only a 2 minute walk, there is a 7/11 and Starbucks right on the door step. The Gwangjang food market and the Dongdaemun shopping district are within a few minutes walk. When checking in I asked for a second Keycard only to be told it’s the hotel policy to issue one per room which proved a little problematic as you need the keycard to access the lift and it’s required for the electricity in the room. The room itself was an adequate size for two adults and one child, the beds are large and comfortable, plenty of storage space, a safe and a good choice of English speaking TV channels. On the down side the air conditioning fan was extremely loud and the bathroom requires a deep clean as there was a large amount of mould around the bath and on the shower curtain(see pictures). The towels were a little thread bare and worn. The breakfast buffet was pretty good, it included fruit, cereals and a great choice of hot food all which is replenished regularly by the kitchen staff. All the staff we engaged with were polite and professional but very regimental in their approach to our requests. Overall a good choice for a family.

I stayed for five nights. It is about mid-way between Jongno 3ga and Jongno 5ga stations on the Seoul subway, near Jongmyo. Attractions in central Seoul, such as the palaces and Myeongdong and Dongdaemun, are in easy walking distance. The rooms are large by Korean standards, comfortable and clean. The breakfast buffet offered a good range of Western and Korean food. It was a little short on fruit, but that is easy to acquire nearby. All in all this hotel represents a good location and value for money.

Arrived 11:00 we were soaking wet having been caught in a very heavy downpour. The man on reception was very short with us, and told us in no uncertain terms, that we could not book in until 15:00. He made us pay the full price right away, took our passports, booked us in and then made us 4 hours in the reception area. Soaking wet, our clothes soaking we in our cases, we could not go out as it continued to pour with rain, plus at this time we had been traveling over 20 hours. We were not even offered a drink of water, justl studiously ignored, whilst we waited in the lobby. At no time did we ask for early access to our room, nevertheless the hotel receptionist who booked us in behaved in a way we have ever encountered any where in the world and we are well travelled. He had no idea of the "Customer first concept" I did take this matter up with him directly the next day, when I had calmed down, he was contrite when I made some points to him about his treatment of us, and the upset he had caused, he did apologise, when he rang a friend to translate my views to him, as he tried to say he did not fully understand English. Even when he accepted he had behaved very badly towards us, he never offered us anything tangible, by way of recompense. As a Front of house employee, this man is clearly in the wrong job, what I have written here, I related to him face to face, it is true to say a girl on duty on our arrival, did offer to let have our room at 14:30, I refused this offer, in light of the way we had been treated, childish I know, but by this time having sat in reception for 3hours 30mins, totally ignored and soaked. I did not feel much disposed to anything reception had to offer. Welcome to S. Korea.

Stayed 8 nights in April 2019 with wife and small child (10 yo). Location (Jongro-4-ga) is excellent, across road from Gwangjang market and between Jongro-5-ga and Jongro-3-ga subway stations. Price was veey good and lots of food options Jongro-3-ga, Jongro-4-ga and Jongro-5-ga. Breakfast was not worth approx US$15 per person, better to find a cafe or have Korean breakfast (less than $8). Definitely going to stay there again if I visit Seoul. Airport bus #6002 stops very near, cost US$10 per person (one way) but subway cheaper.
