We stayed only for two nights. It's just a walking distance to a shopping area. Room equipped with mini kitchen for a simple cooking. Three of us share a room comfortably. A 24 hour mini mart available near by for a simple meals. It's a safe area for walking even past midnight .

This was a great location.. we were in the middle of almost everything.. it didn't only got 3 stars because the front desk people seem to be very unfriendly.. they only looked at you when you come up to the desk to ask them something.. otherwise they ignored you completely.. front desk people need to greet people with smiles and...

The location of the hotel is a plus and has easy accessibility to the underground rail, the shopping centres, the amazing futuristic Dongdaemum Design Plaza which is so impressive. The staff is adequate but not as warm as compared to the other hotels Ive stayed in on this trip. The rooms are adequate and equipped like for long term stay...

The hotel is just walking distance from DPP and dongdaemun market. They only provide one very soft pillow. No complimentary water bottle. Room layout is not nice. No bath tub. Only shampoo and body wash is available. No bidet.

Logistically good and close to Dongdaemun with lots of shopping and foods. Eventhough staying for more than 5 days, they only provide 2 bottles of complimentary water. Room is small and the water pressure is weak and the inconsistence hot water supply. Not much view you can expect but it is a decent hotel.

We’re stayed here for 6 nights in November 2015, we got the Twin room with 2 single beds and was staying on the 9th floor. After reading numerous reviews regarding this hotel I wasn't expecting much but to my pleasant surprise the hotel exceeded my expectations and more! The rooms have a desk area with shelves, table and chairs and...

First, the location was confusing because there is another Western co-op building in front of it and it was embarrassing being told we got the wrong place. The room it self was ok, it was spacious enough and looked clean and tidy. However, I am not a fan of the room layout. There is a big open area for the...

Staying in Dongdaemun / Sindangdong

Neighbourhood Profile
Dongdaemun / Sindangdong
For shopping enthusiasts, Dongdaemun is a must visit. Enormous shopping centres – stacked with multiple levels of boutique and independent shops – offer the latest in Korean fashion, cosmetics, accessories, and other goods while prices are relatively low. The night shopping (between late night and early morning) is particularly well known here, making Dongdaemun a place where you can literally shop until you drop. If fashion isn't what you’re looking for, the long-running wholesale markets nearby sell everything from cloth to utensils at lower prices. The rows of food stalls that set up at night ensure shoppers get refueled, and foodies will enjoy checking out nearby Sindang-dong’s Tteokbokki Town as well as some non-Korean offerings from the Central Asian Village near Dongdaemun.
