This hotel location is great. Literally just few steps away from the night market. Just across the street of Lotte Department store. Breakfast has quite limited choice but it is still okay. Room is spacious enough. I would recommend this hotel for anyone who is a first timer to Seoul because it is exactly right in the middle the famous Myengdong area.
The location of the hotel is so convenient. The airport shuttle bus will drop off exactly right in front of the hotel. It was in the centre of the myeong-dong district, which are full of nice restaurants, shopping malls and places. The hotel staff are so friendly and attentive. The hotel room is clean and tidy. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel. The overall experience in the hotel just made a trip a special one!
This hotel located in the perfect location, nearby many department store and gourmet venue. Airport bus stop is very closed to the hotel. Room is not big but functional. Service staffs are friendly and helpful. Will stay here again if chance arise.
1) Perfect location i) Bus 6015 Bus Stop - Direct bus from the Incheon Airport. Bus stop is located directly in front of the hotel. ii) Subway Station Euljiro 1 (il)-ga is just 2-3 minutes walk from the hotel. iii) Myeongdong Underground Shopping Centre is just at the foot of the hotel. iv) Luxury shopping boutiques are in front of the hotel across the street. v) Mid range shopping shops eg. skincare, fashion and sports apparel are just at the back of the hotel. Cafes and restaurants can be found here too. Myeongdong Food Street is also located here. 2) Perfect Service i) Reached the hotel around 11am and was given a complimentary early check in. A great gesture which allowed us to freshen up and dress appropriately and warmly to explore the streets of Seoul. ii) When one of us stayed in to rest, the Housekeeping lady knocked on the door to request to change our towels and empty the bins. She even requested if she could make the beds. Very thoughtful to ensure that the rooms are clean iii) Although it was winter, the temperature in the room was just right. Not too hot and not too cold. Tips: For my family of 2A and 2 teenagers, we decided to get 2 Standard Twin Connecting Rooms from Ibis as compared to Family Rooms in other hotels. This opened up the space for more luggage room and the best thing is that we got 2 bathrooms and 2 coat closets!…
Very convenient location, next to Metro station (Euljiro-3 sam station), across the road from Lotte Young Plaza, near many shops, street food stalls and eateries. Right smack in tourist location. Hotel room is basic and small, but very clean - good place to use as base to explore Seoul. Breakfast is sufficient - would recommend getting it at the hotel as many cafes in Korea don’t seems to open early for breakfast.
The hotel entrance and the hotel building was unable to find which we take very long time to figure out under the cold weather outside of the myeongdong area. No bellman on the level 1 and reception was on the 19 floor. Check in was smooth and the nightmare begin. 1) we put do not disturb sign outside of the door and what surprise us is someone enter our room with make up room was done half way ! And our room keycard was removed in the room. This was totally disappointed to enter our room without our agreement !!!! 2) Daily make up room does not included changing of bedsheet ! You have to call to the front desk to request to change for bedsheet. Even to stay more than 7days, my bedsheet wasn’t change at all totally. 3) even winter season, they do not provide air condition in the room. Due to The Central cooling and heater system you will not expect air condition in the room and only expect 25-35 degree hot temperature in your room and to sleep in this temperature in your room! They can only provide mini fan to solve the issue. 4)due to The Central cooling and heater system, they expect you to climb on top of the table to open the window to make the room cooling which I think is super dangerous for kids and elderly. No safety for sure. Very bad choice but the only good was only myeongdong location.…
Stayed at this hotel for 13 nights mid November. The location is excellent. The limosine bus to Incheon stops right outside the hotel, so easy access from and to the airport. The staff were all very welcoming and helpful and they all spoke good English. Good size of the room and comfy beds. Lots of warm water in the shower and good water pressure. Around 40 channels to chose from on the TV. Fridge and a kettle in the room with daily re-fill of coffee and tea. Every day we got 2 free water bottles. We didn't hear any noise from any of the other guests. The only two negative things was that the AC was not on (we couldn't turn it on). After what I have read I think that is standard in most hotels in Korea this time of year. Luckily we were able to open the window, cause it became quite hot in the room even though it was November. The other negative thing was that there was very few places to hang stuff. I wish there were more hooks on the walls in the room itself and also in the bathroom to hang the towels. If I return to Seoul I will stay in this hotel again. It was super convenient and the price was also very good.…
The housekeeping department does not provide towels, head towels, foot towels in the room as usual every day, not even a single towels set up in the Bathroom on my 5th night stay. (Total 5 nights stay) Sorry, I can’t take a shower without towels. Bathrobe is provided only for the first 2 nights stay, the other 3 nights are not available in the rooms as well. (What’s standard?) Complimentary water 2 bottles per day providing from the hotel and set up in the room every day. But on Tuesday I drank 1 bottle of water, still 1 bottle that I had opened and drank a bit. Which will provide 2 additional bottles of drinking water, but only add 1 bottle.
Second time staying here in a few months, and it was every bit as good. Myeongdong is way more bustling now compared to my earlier stay in April, and easy to walk to everything in the area with lots of shopping and street food. Airport shuttle is running again so easy access to the airport.
Sorry for the long review but it's worth reading .Even I did not stay here but feel compelled to give my praise to the front desk people, especially Sam. I am booked at another Ibis hotel but show up at this hotel by mistake. A nice, tall jovial handsome gentleman name SAM offer to call a taxi to go to the right Ibis. Being at peak hour and a short trip, nobody is responding to his taxi request. After 10 minutes trying, I told him I will go down the street to flag down one. After 15 minutes without success because when I show the address, no one will take me. Feeling hungry. I go back to the hotel for breakfast and Sam offers to keep my luggage. Sam then try again to call a taxi without success. He finally suggests using his own Kakao taxi app account to reserve s taxi and I reimburse him directly. When I tell him how can I recognize my assigned cab, he offers to take me from the 19th floor front desk area YES 19th floor down to the street. He then take my luggage down and wait for the cab with me. He even put them in the trunk because Seoul cab driver do not help with luggage. Being 75 year old and first visit to Seoul, I can't say enough how appreciative I am about his help. And I am even NOT staying at his hotel. With his utmost dedication to the job , and his helpful nature Sam should be promoted to train Ibis chain employees and even the hotel industry as a whole. Thank you, thank you, thank you…
