Very nice hotel, clean and very comfortable. I like the view even it what not the best of the hotel I believe. The breakfast was very nice and everyone is very nice and get gratefull. I nice experience and I recommend 😊
Room fot three was really small, no windows. we could only open our luggage one at a time, bed was quite hard for my liking, no bathroom mats, no cleaning room service, and whats really bothering us the most is that the 4 level hostel has no elevator, it was really a struggle for us to climb the stairs to 3rd floor after all day walking and to climb up and down the stairs with 3 x 30kgs luggages,,,,really something, you know ,hehe But apart from that, the hostel is actually nice clean modern and nice staff, great locatipn, very near to exit 2 subway and myongdong. Nice clean towel everyday. Over all, i wud think twice before staying at this hostel , especially not if i bring older people and kids.
The location was great. It was just outside Euljiro 1-ga station. Cross the road and you're already in Myeongdong. Decent size room. Bed was a bit hard for my liking, but it was comfortable. Has a bidet which is a plus for me. Wifi is strong. Staff are very helpful. It's not very clean. Mouldy tiles in the bathroom. No proper area for shower. Basically it's a toilet with a shower attached to the sink. No lift/elevator. It was a struggle to bring down my 40kg luggage from the 4th floor room. I'm fussy with cleanliness, if it was a bit cleaner, I would have rated it higher.
I recently completed a two night stay at Hotel Bonbon, a budget hotel conveniently located in the heart of Seoul. Unfortunately, with paper thin walls and drafty rooms, the hotel is a place I would recommend with reservations. ROOM I stayed in Room 201, a deluxe single room, located right off reception. Unfortunately, combined with thin walls, this results in a noisy room where conversations can easily be heard from reception and the adjacent rooms. Consequently, I found myself either waking up in the middle of sleep or waking up earlier than expected on both nights. Another minus of the room was its draftiness; finding a comfortable temperature was difficult. Finding an appropriate temperature for comfort sleep was difficult. Otherwise, the room was kept in good condition with recently updated furnishings (with the exception of the bathroom). LOCATION The location is central to any visitor of Seoul: a brief walk to some of the major tourist attractions and best shopping in the city. Access to the rest of the city is very convenient, being located steps from Exit 2 of Euljiro 1-Ga Station (Line 2). WiFi WiFi is complimentary for hotel guests. Signal strength was strong in the room with good speed.…
This is a great budget hotel, the room is new and clean with quality bed, the location itself is perfect, just 2 minutes walk from subway exit, the staff is very kind, I guess it runs by a family so you will feel welcomed staying here. I stayed here for 5 nights and definitely will come back for my next trip in Korea If you are looking for a hotel with reasonable price, not a hostel, this place is the right choice for you.
It's an actual hotel that is affordable, NOT a hostel! :-) It is close to a lot of restaurants and shops, the subway, and some big tourist attractions. It is owned and run by a family, and the man is usually at the desk. If you want your room cleaned, you have to let him know, which is no problem. He is SUPER NICE and FRIENDLY, and he's always smiling. His English is conversational and is extremely helpful! He helped me with directions, getting a taxi to go where I needed to go, and got me bath towels every night since the room only came with face/hand towels. His hospitality was FANTASTIC! :D
I been there for 4nights during December14. Mr.Hwang, the owner is very extremely friendly.I swear that every time I met him-every time with Smile. Also their staffs are very helpful-even their english not that good, but they really willing to help. Location : Step walking from Subway-Euljiro 1gu,Exit 2..Let's say walk just 2 minutes away. Also ,stelp walking to Myeong dong Chonggyechon Stream(5min.),Gwanghwamun station(10-15min.) If you're looking for budget hostel which is clean, good service, stelwalking from subway-I highly recommend here. Next time in Seoul, I will return to here for sure.
Myeondong Hostel was truly value for money. It was clean, spacious and amply furnished, given the price. I like its location too, quite a decent neighborhood and within walking distance to many sights and shops. It was right atop a good decent restaurant.
The hostel is provide a common kitchen, which can be used for all guests to make tea or coffee. Near to Euljiro Subway Station and just need 10-15 minutes walk to Myeongdong shopping street. The receptionist is also speak very well english and friendly.
One important thing if you're going on a "backpacking" style trip is the location of the accommodation. The hostel (also called seoul backpacker hostel) is at a very convenient location, maybe 30 steps from the entrance of subway Euljiro 1-(il)ga (exit 6 - i think?). So when your feet is aching after a long day of walking, you just find comfort knowing that your hostel is a few steps away after alighting the train. We stayed in a room in the 2nd floor just very near the reception, steep stairs will welcome you from the front door. The rooms are almost clean, of course not spotless, don't expect it to be as this is just a hostel. The floors are heated but only on the middle area, outer areas are as cold as ice. The bed is okay, but the pillows are thin. The T&B is spacious as i've expected a very small space, turns out it is quite big. No bidet to use. Shower head is movable. No towel was provided, we have to ask the reception for it. But the towel is like a hand towel, so better bring your own. No cabinets to put your things, hangers are provided and around 6 hooks are on the wall to hang clothes. Wifi has good reception. There is a kitchen where you can get free water (hot/cold), use microwave and store food in the fridge but this is very small kitchen. No breakfast is provided so better buy some instant noodles at night. If you don't have an adapter for charging your phones, you can ask the reception and you will just need to deposit W5,000 which you can get after you returned the adapter. The staff can speak decent English. They are also very helpful when you ask for direction, they even print a step by step instruction on some tourist spots and you can get a free map of Seoul in the reception. They also allow you to keep your luggage in the lobby area after you check-out if you still want to tour the city before your flight at no extra cost. And oh, since we went during winter, the heated floor may not be sufficient as it gets really really cold at night. And the cold air comes from the closed, covered windows. Overall, you get your money's worth. Expect less and you won't be disappointed... In fact i was even surprised that it exceeded my expectation. :)…
