The bedroom and the bathroom (Japanese wooden bathtub) are modern, spacious and well equipped. The bedding is very very comfortable. Modern and well renovated hotel, located in Myeong-Dong area. Ideal for shopping. Close to the metro and many restaurants and a 7 eleven next door. 2 steps from Namdaemun market. Superb view of the neighborhood. The staff is knowledgeable and very helpful.
This is worst hotel I ever stayed. I booked a room for 3 pax being charged for a room with 3 bed. It is more like a single room adding 2 beds to it. IT IS DEFINETELY not a 3 pax room!!!!! The room is not even stayable for 3 pax. There is no room for 3 luggages. There is no space at the walk way. There is a very miserable table with no socket for charging or using a computer. The room is more like is for 1 pax with 3 beds. The hotel jx put 3 beds there and charge as a 3 pax room. This is really ridiculous. And it is suppose to be a business hotel. I had stayed in many hotels before even those 2 stars homestay hotel are much better than this! The Business center has no socket for you to plug your laptop, so how can it be a business center. My 2 teenage kids and myself we felt sick for the whole stay. Cos the place was so cramp. Ventilation was so bad that we cant hv proper sleep at all. IF you you going as a single person then is fine. But if u think of booking this hotel with 3 pax. PLEASE DO NOT. IT IS GOING TO BE VERY CRAMP. Unless u only bring 1 luggage!!!…
Located on a quiet side street, off the nearby busy main road. Good location though. We had 2 rooms - rooms sizes are adequate, clean & comfortable. But housekeeping is very very poor - had to squeeze all the 4 liquid dispensers on basin & shower areas very hard to get the liquids out. Apparently these dispensers had not been refilled for VERY LONG as all are almost empty. There were no spare toilet roll - only a half used one hanging. As we came back quite late & staying only one night, did not bother to call housekeeping to remedy the situation. Major building construction going on directly opposite the hotel, noisy till late at night & early morning. Service wise , friendly but not warm. We are regular visitors to Korea , & definitely this is not a hotel we will stay again.
We stayed in the Sotetsu Hotel the Splaisir in Myeong-Dong twice on this trip. Upon arriving in Seoul we had booked the hotel and to our amazement it truly was a 5 Star Hotel. We were pleasantly surprised with the level of customer service and attention we received at checking with Mr. Eric Han and Ms. Vickie Park. They made sure we received the accommodations that we booked and offered their services in every way possible. We stayed for 4 nights and we did a side trip to Busan. We asked if we could leave a bag until our return and of course they said yes. On our return to Seoul we were very excited about coming back to the Splaisir, when we arrived once again we were checked in by Ms Vickie Park in the most friendliest way with superior customer service. We work for an Airlines in Atlanta, Ga. And have stayed in many hotels but the gentleness and gracious attitude these two individuals provided us will never be forgotten. The hotel is very spacious and it has a beautiful lobby with restaurants and coffee shop. The entire hotel is immaculate and the rooms and bathrooms are very comfortable and very well kept . The hotel offers a very extensive breakfast buffet with many Korean and Western selections that were worth the price. The dinning area is huge with many tables and super clean. Very importantly the location of the hotel is a big plus. Across from the hotel walking distance is Namdaemun Market, Shinsegae and Lotte Department Stores, Myeongdong Shopping Street and City Hall right by the Palace. Our special thanks to Mr.Eric Han and Ms Vicky Park for all their attentions. We will be returning in the summer and will definitely stay here.…
We booked the Executive Family room that had 2 queen beds and a hinoki bathtub. Service was topnotch, we had a few problems with the toilet flush and they sent someone up to fix it right away. Special shoutout to Ms. Huh at the front desk for patiently answering our queries. Room was cleaned everyday. Wish they could put more hooks or bars to hang towels and clothes as there was only 1 in the bathroom. Location was nice enough. If it was just us adults then the short walk to Myeongdong would have been invigorating but with small kids it's a bit of an ask. Terrain was hilly and crossing the street meant going underground and back up 3 flights of stairs. The kids got used to it after a while. Would book it again!
Thank you for all the good care and food and great hotel ! I am grateful that the Hotel is giving good care to all ,in this Karantene time! Thanks you so match for thake good care for my son in his holyday time and Karantene!
I was confined 14 nigths at the Splaisir Sotetsu Seoul. The hotel room, which is obviously all I know from the facility, was fair. It had 3 single bed stack to one anotther without any room to walk between them. I re-arrange the room lifting one of the bed up against the wall to create at least some floor space to strech. I found the place quite dirty and the 1st day proceeded to cleaning the whole place from floor to bathroom. And indeed it was full of dirt and hairs! I clean again one week into my confinement and gathered only a fraction of the hair and dirt swepth the 1st time: conclusion the room had not been properly cleaned in many, many weeks...
Location is great, just a few minutes walk to the MRT station, and also various markets nearby. The hotel is basic and reasonably priced. Clean and tidy and the staff were all friendly enough. I would probably go back if in Seoul again (however, next time will probably fly direct to Busan as it's just soooo much better there ) :-)
Being a hotelier myself, I have great expectations when it comes to hotels especially more so if the property had a reputable rating. Check-in and check-out was fast and seamless. Special mention to the Housekeeping lady on the 8th floor as well as Ms Han Myo Jeong from the concierge with whom we’ve experienced true hospitality from. Apart from that the rest of the hotel was ok. Front desk was not very approachable and I could not feel the hospitality from the other staffs of the hotel. Having said that, I would strongly recommend this property for those families with kids as they have a line- themed room which I’m sure will be very popular with the kids.
This is the best hotel I ever stayed at in Seoul! Its a 4-star hotel which lived up to my expectations! All the staff were kind and efficient. Their hotel lobby is spacious. Elevators are quick. There is a restaurant in the hotel but the area it is located in is has a lot of holes in the wall which I highly recommend. We got a free upgrade which surprised me because it was peak season. The rooms were spacious and clean. The toilet had a bath tub and shower. All supplies were replenished daily. Room was also cleaned daily. This hotel is highly recommended.
