Avoid happy city hotel!! We disliked our stay so much that we were willing to lose money and relocate to a different hotel (golden hotel) for a cheaper price and a far better experience. Upon arrival, I would have given happy city 3 stars. The staff were pleasant but the hotel reeked of moth balls and fumigation fumes. It was... More

It is as advertised, basic accommodations- bed, shower, A/C. The rooftop bar-restaurant is very nice. Hint- alcoholic beverages are hard to find in most places. The rooftop offers beer and wine only. The high-end chain hotels will offer standard bar options. If you expect American style luxury, the chain hotels are for you. If you are willing to forego the... More

I mostly go there for there rooftop but i also stayed in a couple of nights. The best feature of the hotel is its ideal location right next to the underground station and in downtown and it's easily recognized by taxis. The rooms were average and nice breakfast buffet was included. The rooftop has nice fresh air and offers grilled... More

I liked the roof top .. Relaxing place coz of the fresh air and friendly staff .. A lot of mezza for free with the drink .. The crispy bread is very good idea and tasty but the order just takes a lot of time till it comes to us .. Shisha guy comes after a lot of time too

Nothing fancy inside but yet everything is available. We had nice room with a living room where our two boys can sleep on sofa-beds. That was a big plus for us. The Hotel is walking distance to Metro Station and the downtown. Every tour company or taxi would recognize the Happy City name. All services were available on premises. Breakfast... More

I was super happy that my parents chose to stay at this hotel. There was a breakfast buffet with eggs, salad, cookies, juice, and Arabic sweet dishes. The hotel also had a restaurant on the 7th floor which served shisha and Arabic food with drinks the service was really poor it took almost 1 hour, but the food was delicious.... More

I was very dissapointed with this hotel. I was staying there as a starting point while going on a tour and the rooms were clean but I had an outdoor terrasse that was super dusty I couldn't even sit on the chairs. The restaurant's food isn't good at all and the staff can hardly speaks any other language than arab.... More

This hotel is a good hotel if you would like a cheap hotel in Cairo and are not looking to be there for more than a day or 2. Very good choice if travelling and literally want a bed to sleep in. It is quite close to the Egyptian museum and it does have some good local food places to... More

As it isn't far from the Egyptian Museum, and has some nice local restaurants the Hotel is generally in a good location but you really get what you pay for. Only one member of the hotel staff spoke English and you cannot buy any drinks from them - just walk across the road (carefully!) and you will get large bottles... More
