This is strictly a budget hotel overlooking Tahrir square and walkable distance from Downtown Cairo. Being on the 5th floor of the building and the with the windows bolted and shut permanently, noise is not a problem. Management is helpful and food is okay. Perfect for travellers looking of overnight stay!

The city view hotel has amazing hospitality, and responsive with booking. They picked me up from the airport at 1:30am and drove me safely to the hotel. They will take great care of you during your stay. I did a tour of the Pyramids and was fantastic! It's absolutely safe, centrally located to the subway, museum, and food. The view...

My second stay at this hotel. Basic, bed, hot running water, A/C, satellite TV and WiFi. I stay here because of location--near Tahrir, the Egyptian Museum, Metro, shopping, restaurants. Friendly, very helpful staff. Restaurant on premises, free breakfast. Slightly noisy due to traffic, but if you're out running around all day, you'll fall asleep without noticing. Free transport one way...

I just completed a 10 day stay here and wanted to recommend it. In addition to the location next to the museum, the dining room balcony looked out over the Nile and Tahrir Sq. You can walk to shops and I felt always felt safe. The best part was the fellows behind the desk...they arranged my drivers, my tours, packed...

Lovely small hotel. Especially cleanliness & kind, helpful staff. I'll go there again in September, and have recommended the City View hotel to a friend. I love to have a clean room - and it was spotless! There was hot water, and I had a nice shower. Staff were so kind and helpful - provided a driver at reasonable cost,...

The location of this hotel is excellent, just across the Museum and overlooking the famous Tahrir Square in Cairo. The hotel is situated on the 5th Floor of a heritage building. You can enjoy a cup of coffee in the evening sitting at the restaurant facing the majestic Nile River with some cool breeze. There are many restaurants & shops...

If you want to be close to the museum you can pay $300 at a 5 star hotel or less than a third of that here. Good bed and bathroom and a veranda that looks over Tahir Square and the museum. Great free pick up at the airport. Good restaurant on site, but not all menu items available. Very friendly...

We had a wonderful stay at the City View Hotel, the room was clean and the staff were very welcoming and super friendly. So much so that they invited us to their daughters wedding that was the evening we checked in. Breakfast in the morning was great and you had a wonderful view of Tahir Square. It can be a...

My teenage daughter and I stayed for 7 nights. Super close to metro, museum, restaurants, everything. Very reasonably priced rooms, restaurant, and bottled water. They helped us make tour plans. Very friendly staff, make you feel like family.
