The location is very good in downtown Cairo but that's all. The building is falling apart and the general maintenance of the place is poor. The staff looks friendly but not helpful: I asked a taxi and they told me to get one on the street just waving at it, I ended up arguing with the driver that took me...

How you would rate it depends on what kind of traveler you are and what you expect. First time I was with a friend. The second time I was there myself to do some business in Cairo. Things I remember: 1. Very basic breakfast. I would get falafel or hamburgers somewhere else. 2. Free Wifi--although sometimes slow or unstable 3....

The hostel location is perfect, you can walk by yourself to tahir square and museum. The room was very simple but very cleaned and comfortable. The first impression is not so good because the reception is very decadent, but arraiving in the room you abandons this bad impression

We had a shared room with 4 people, no bunk beds, which was nice and roomy. The place is quiet and at least while we were there (3 nights), the other guests were not particularly social, just using the location for sleeping. In fact, there were a few who regularly stay there like an apartment during the work week and...

Cecilia is a great hostel, very conveniently located (few minutes from the Egyptian museum), and an extremely good value for your money! The rooms are recently renovated and provide access to wifi as well. Mina and Sam were amazing and helped me plan my 2 days in Cairo so that I could see as much as possible in such a...

We stayed there for 4 nights in total. - The location is 3 mins walking distance from Tahrir Square and 10 min waking distance from the great Nile and the Egyptian Museum. Near to the American University and the Ministry of Interior. - Due to the political situation in Egypt nowadays, some taxis refused to drop us near to the...

The lack of 5 stars is because the breakfast was only bread, a hard boiled egg, and yogurt. And I don't eat bread or dairy, but otherwise they serve tea and coffee for free all day, there is a lovely little terrace to sit on and see Cairo and chat with other guests, the bed are nice and I had...
