Very pleasant atmosphere and friendly environment. I had a one night stay as I had to attend a ceremony along with my family.

I believe Sadat Station is the main Metro station right in Tahrir Square at the beginning of Talaat Harb Street. True, there is a lot of construction going on in that area, although it should take between 10 and 15 minutes to walk there from Semiramis, maybe a bit less if you walk at a brisk pace. I have used Sadat Station many times and assure you that getting there is easier than it sounds. Just be careful walking in traffic and crossing main streets.
