We only stayed two nights as we had a short trip but wished we could have stayed forever! The staff were the friendliest we'd ever encountered, taking every effort to ensure we were comfortable and enjoying ourselves. Clean rooms, excellent A/C, fantastic meals, and an incredible atmosphere in the barrel bar and rooftop garden. The hotel really lent to our...

Loving our stay here. Historical hotel with fading royal and colonial times interior. Very decent and trusted stuffs. Great view from the balcony. Anyone likes the vintage essence they ll like it here💙

We spent 3 nights and will eagerly return to this classic hotel frozen in time. But be prepared: Time and limited budgets have taken their toll on this classic hotel that would serve as a setting for a black and white Hercule Poirot film. The posters in the halls hark back to glory days long past, before the wooden balconies...

Your first impressions of the Windsor may be somewhat off-putting: the manual switchboard, the ancient elevator, etc., but then those things become part of the charm of this gem in the middle of old Cairo. The best thing, however, is the staff. They are all friendly and helpful. Associated with the hotel is one of the best tour operators in...

An old-fashioned hotel in the downtown area. The room is spacious, comfortable and clean. The staff are friendly and helpful. It is a wonderful place to stay in downtown except it is a bit noisy especially during early morning. During our stay in the hotel, Samir Fayek provides lots of help with driving us to Giza and Saqqara, giving valuable...

The Windsor Hotel gets top marks because it's a hidden jem with a great historical past, and super friendly and helpful staff. It is not a 5 star type of hotel and anyone who is looking for a flashy new hotel will be disappointed. But we thought it was great. The Windsor has been around for over 150 years and...

Honest, trustworthy and dependable are the 3 adjectives that come to mind looking back on my tour experience with Samir Fayek. He was not the cheapest tour operator, but I found his prices to be reasonable and a bargain for the services he and his guides provided. I did the usual Nile river cruise like many tourists. His guides arrived...

The hotel is centrally located and easy to reach with the metro (Ataba station). It stands out due to its gallant appearance and charming atmosphere. The well known bar on the first floor is a great place to hang out and to get in contact with other guests as well as locals. The staff is extremely helpful. Highly recommended!

The Windsor hotel is an excellent hotel with lots of character and incredibly helpful staff. The location is excellent for travelling around cairo with a metro stop near by. Just a warning if you've never been to Cairo the traffic is incredibly congested so you may want to have ear plugs just in case. The highlight of my trip was...

What a find! Where else will your room have a telephone from 1920 and the reception have an actual switchboard? Where else will you have an elevator operator? Only here at the Windsor! Built in 1893, this must have been some place back in the day. But although now it's a bit faded and certainly not for everyone, it's a...
