Beds reasonably comfortable and helpful staff but this hotel is suffering from severe underinvestment. Most fixtures and fittings are old and worn out. The breakfast was pretty good. The worst aspect was the pack of street dogs that bark all night long opposite the hotel. This is a major problem that affected everyone in my tour group and needs be...

Other reviews don't do justice to breakfast. Enjoyed aubergines and houmous, cake, pita bread, some kind of delicious savoury dumpling, bean and chickpea 'porridge' boiled eggs, good coffee. Other reviews seem generally fair.

It is a simple hotel in dowtown. Your localization is good. The hotel is 3* but their structute is simpler than an true 3* hotel: the atmosphere seems old and dirty, don't have hair dryer, the air conditioning was broken. However, the attendants are kind and well intentioned, the breakfest is simple but tastly (bread, falafel, vegetables, cheese, coffe or...

In life you get what you pay for. This is an adequate hotel for the money you spend. The overall impression is that a good lick of paint, and some TLC on the fittings would be helpful. The lavatory in our room would not flush, but we got around that problem with the "douce" attachment on the wall. Breakfast was...

In a good location close to the Nile and museums and banks but very uncared for. Water not hot nor strong and very poor internet. Bathrooms were a bit grotty and breakfast mediocre. Staff were friendly enough

This place isint the Ritz but is definetly clean, well kept and maintained. Staff is very friendly. For the value which is value for the money I am giving the place 4 stars. Close to the underground and plenty of resteraunts and stores and downtown so if you have something to do in the city this is the place to...

Intrepid Travel use the King Hotel as one of it's mainstay places to start and finish their trips. I arrived a few days prior to my trip to Jordan so had 4 nights here. Firstly, the rooms are clean and pretty quiet until the 'call for prayer' or the dogs. But hey, I always travel with ear plugs so missed...

I stayed here one night at the start of a tour to Nile Valley sites. Other than the fact that it is the standard 3 star hotel used by the tour operator, the hotel has few redeeming virtues. There was no heating in the room (cold night in February), the breakfast was the most pitiful of all the hotels stayed...

King Hotel is prized by young foreigners for it's cheap rates, rooftop bar, and close proximity to the "Dokki" downtown neighborhood. Awesome Yemeni restaurants abound in this area and the Siliman Gohar Market is only a couple minutes walk from the hotel. That being said, the basic features of the hotel are lackluster. My bathroom was poorly designed with water...

I spent three nights last week at the King Hotel in Cairo. It was a good basic hotel and in a good location. They are very accommodating and help you in any way they can. Wifi was only available in the lobby but it was free. I will definitely stay there again.
