I stayed here as part of a contiki tour. It is the real budget Egypt experience. Contrary to others I like the old world feel of the lobby and the room. However I've read that the location is not in a good neighbourhood so it's not the best idea to wander outside your hotel unescorted. It is noisy because of...

I arrived as part of a tour and the man who carried our bags up harassed four separate females who were traveling on their own (tried to tell one of them he was going to sleep in her bed with her - she had to pay him to leave the room! And he called anthers room in the middle of...

Contiki Tour Nov 01 - Nov 15 Horrible location - this is in the slums of Cairo. Dont take that lightly. It really is located in the slums of Cairo. The locals loved to stare but were otherwise pretty much welcoming and we didn't feel unsafe. Customer service was horrible. One women on are trip had a nice midnight call...

We stayed here 2 nights before and 2 nights after our Contiki tour and reading other reviews I was nervous. But it honestly was fine! The bed was actually very comfy. The rooms were very large. The bathrooms were a little dated and the only thing I could really complain about was the shower it wasn't flat it was almost...

A great inexpensive hotel in the centre of Cairo. Food ok and beds comfortable. Brilliant location for getting around. Good entrance lounge to relax while the family get organised or waiting for local guides.

The service was so bad, had to tip almost every person, guests could NOT visit me in my room because of "hotel policy". Had problems with hot water, sometimes the elevator did not work as well. People on the street around it were too creepy, everyone stared at us, like we're some sort of aliens. I recommend that nobody stays...

Skip it. I absolutely would NOT recommend this hotel. It is located in a very inconvenient area of old town Cairo. Good luck attempting to find any shops or restaurants near by. The hotel itself is rather old and run down. Definitely can't recommend the service at reception or the bar. Just skip it and find something else.

We stayed at the Victoria Hotel as part of our contiki tour. This hotel is good considering the location it's in. We were told this was the slums of Cairo so we didn't feel comfortable leaving the hotel alone. We were also told by many people not to venture out of the hotel because of its location. The hotel was...

We stayed for one night before and after a tour in February. The hotel itself is in need of a total revamp and modernization, the place is so run down and dirty, it was disgusting the layer of filth on the furniture in the rooms, even the toilet!. We had no hot water in our first room and it was...
