Stayed here with two friends on a 5 day trip to Cairo and had a four bed room to ourselves. Could not have asked for more: convenience, cost, cleanliness, friendliness and general vibe. It's an excellent place to stay and if I'm back in Cairo, this will be my first port of call. You get breakfast (three rolls, spreadable cheese,...

One of the first things I was told here was "this is your home now, here is our business card, call us anytime from anywhere in Egypt and we will help you." It has a family feel, clean rooms and bathrooms, funny friendly staff and simple but good breakfast. Located in a great place minutes away from food, the museum,...

The staff and the location were the best part of the stay. The staff is helpful, friendly, and interactive. The location is right in downtown and within walking distance of so many things. The bathrooms were cleaned everyday, the beds and common areas were also kept nice and tidy. I have stayed in other hostels in Cairo and didn't meet...

I stayed for a week or so, enjoyed the views from the balcony and the vibes of Cairo City, also got the chance to chat with Mustafa and Magdy from the Staff, and they are very nice and friendly people who helped me get around and enjoy the trip after a rough start.

Been to that hostel based on hostelworld recommendations. It is nice and cozy, the shared bathrooms get properly cleaned frequently. It is near to metro and easy to get from there to anywhere. What I liked most was how helpful the staff was and they offer flexible arrangements that was very suitable for me. I was there to take an...

We stayed here at the end of our trip in Egypt and booked for three nights. On arrival at the hostel we were told they did not have a copy of our booking as we had only booked a few hours previously through hotels.com. We were asked what room we had booked and we told them a double room with...

Good location. Very comfortable sleep. Staff is very nice and extremely helpful. They will do their best to get you around Cairo the best they can and make sure you don't get taken advantage. But it's going to happen.

My husband and I stayed here and at the sister hostel Miami Cairo. The staff really make these places - friendly, relaxed and helpful. Communal areas and rooms are kept clean, breakfast was basic but fine and the beds were comfy. I would recommend that the hostels invest in new sheets and towels - meramees had better towels but we...

At first sight Merameese hostel reminds you of an old dusty building out of Knockturn alley from one of the Harry Potter movies. Entering the hostel proper you are greeted by an old security guard who barely speaks english and you immediately spot an elevator which looks like it has been stolen from an 19th century English palace. The hostel...

Hotel was good, if you want to stay in the heart of Cairo i.e., down town. The owner is good and helpful. The hotel is in front of Vodafone store and near to Kazaz shawarma place. Rooms are neat and tidy. They don't provide heaters, if do so it will be helpful in winters. They also provide tour packages better...
