We have stayed at this hotel many times since 1975.the hotel is located in central Cairo. You enjoy and have access to all shops. Hotel rooms are cleaned daily.staff very helpful.breakfast is very good.

I have just returned from a weeks stay here which has been my first since 2011. I am delighted to say that not only has the hotel been redecorated but also that the general area has been cleaned up and is back to 'normal'. At the hotel the rooms are still large and spacious but now even nicer following redecoration....

Well placed if you want to be downtown and great if you're coming in on the train or bus to Tahrir but always remember that you get what you pay for in a city centre. The beds are comfortable and the bathroom functions but this isn't a fancy place to stay and the down town noise can take a couple...

The only thing good with this place is the location. Its to noisy to sleep there, the rooms are ugly. The place needs new management and new crew. Nobody there has a clue in how to treat a costumer. Staying at Grand Hotel is a unpleasant experience and the hostile and unfriendly staff makes you feel that you are not...

I'm from Alexandria, when I travel locally for business to Cairo I usually stay in Grand Hotel, its cheap and has good hygiene standers, people there are so helpful, food is not that good, actually I take my meals in any near restaurants. The perfect thing is its location in the heart of Cairo.

It is located in the center of cairo, on two main shopping roads ... a very pleasant hotel with clean and comfortable rooms, very friendly and helpful staff. The restaurant had great food with a wide variety of choices...open buffet. I really enjoyed my stay there!

Stayed for 2 nights Jan 2012. Wonderfully shabby hotel that has clearly seen better days. Room was clean with working shower etc. Although it was dark and the noise from the traffic ran though out the night we enjoyed our stay. The staff were helpful and the security at the main door gave a sense of security for first time...
