I arrived at this hotel after having an amazing cruise on the nile, and i was worried about where we'd be staying, hoping it would live up to the standard of the cruise. It's safe to say we weren't disappointed! The staff were friendly, the entrance was very impressive and the rooms and bathroom were huge and very clean and...

Our one night stay here almost proved to be fatal !! It was part of our honeymoon which also included a 7 night Nile cruise and a 6 night stay in Sharm El Sheik. We had only just arrived into our room and whilst my husband was making us a cup of tea he noticed that the shade of the...

So, first of all, the tourist industry has been badly hit in Egypt during 2011, and the hotel was quite empty. I think that when it is full, it might be a bit like a transit lounge, in that the public areas are huge, clearly designed to cater for many more guests than were there when we went. A bit...

The hotel was close to the pyramids and the food was good. However, my room smelled like mildew and there were two roaches in the room. When I told the front desk upon checkout they didn't offer an apology...they just stared at me.

'Had seen the hotel's pictures of the pyramids and suspected they had used zoom and editing but the pictures were true! Stayed one night before starting my two day sightseeing trip as a woman travelling on my own. I had a lovely dinner in the rooftop restaurant, while the sunset splashed the pyramids in lovely colors followed by the (backside...

My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights as part of our Egypt tour package and we found the place pretty nice. We had a garden view room which is alright.. not like the pyramid rooms but you get what you pay for. The room we had was very large but unfortunately they gave us two doubles instead of...

The hotel is falling down and is in poor repair. The people at reception were nice enough but I stayed in three different rooms and they all had serious issues ranging from clogged drain, toilet running, room door would not close and lock properly. The hotel is poorly maintained. Also I got caught in a mini bar scam. I called...

a real treat, this hotel has it all, facilities, great service, wonderful location, and true value. probably the thing that impressed us most was the quality of the staff, especially at the front counter where they go the extra mile to make you feel welcome. possibly the best hotel we stayed in during our 8 week holiday in europe and...

First time to Egypt, and booked the Mercure on expedia, was only $120 a night for a pyramid view room. Our porter was extremely helpful and booked all our tours we wanted to do (camel ride, museum and pyramids etc). Roof top restaurant over looked the pool and the pyramids and served awesome traditional Egyptian BBQ, and enjoyed ice cold...

The first thing to disappoint me was the size of the pool- the photo uses a fair bit of poetic license as it is much smaller in reality. My friends and I I also had to lie on the grass on our first day as all the beds were in use - this led me to think that it is...
