Views of the Great Pyramids, and public areas were beautiful and well maintained. But, the room quality was really disappointing. We reserved 2 rooms for our family and both were dirty. Phones, light switches, and the wooden floors under the bed were filthy. Crumbs scattered in one room. Had to request new bedding, it was stained. One of our rooms...

Ive been a frequent guest at the Mena House for years. It's a hotel like no other - a chunk of history and belle epoque set at the edge of modern Cairo. Wonderful Indian restaurant (Moghul Rooms), excellent bar (a little pricey) and superb rooms, especially in the Old Hotel. Sometimes gets taken over by huge local wedding parties which...

Just checked in. Not one of those skyscraper type but spacious hotel with good nature around. Walking distance to Pyramids. Good and helpful staff. Great history behind. The hotel hosted many kings and presidents. Lunchs are not busy and takes around 1 hr to get your lamb. And also very important: there is no wifi in the room (only cable)....

"Awesome" is a good word to describe this Old Hotel. We stayed in the Garden area and had a very large room with a huge balcony overlooking the Gardens. We loved walking around the grounds and the hotel. Has about 40 acres of grounds. Beautiful! Wonderful large swimming pool that is out of sight. Food was very nice there at...

What a magical place! After a long journey from New York, we open the curtains in our rooim at Mena House to see The Pyrimid of Cheops over our balconey. Hotel amenities: superb. Dinner at the poolside restaurant was enhanced by the lovely gardens and pools. Staff was friendly attentive and professional. Would stay at Mena House again

My husband and I enjoyed staying here tremendously! The views are phenomenal and the location is so convenient to do your day trips to the Pyramids and roam around the city. The room had a garden view and it was clean and pristine! The bathtub was relaxing and the shower had two shower heads! We had plenty of space for...

The property is historic and has a beautiful setting at the base of the Giza plateau. The staff is very gracious, and the rooms are large really well appointed. We opted for a pyramid view room, and we were not disappointed - the veranda faced the Great Pyramid. It was an incredible site to wake up to.

This hotel was exceptional! The location cannot be beat for access to the Pyramids, and the property is a formal royal hunting palace, and is beautifully restored. Pay the extra money to get a room with a view of the Pyramids--sitting on the balcony with coffee and watching the sun rise over them is unforgettable! Our room was huge, and...

I enjoyed the Pyramids more from here having a few beers and meals by the pool than I did being inside the Pyramid complex. The Pyramids view room had a perfect view even laying in bed, the staff was very friendly, the food was good, and the beer was cold... I needed nothing more.

Mena House is a must stay in Cairo. Great views of the pyramids, service was above and beyond, and it was very clean. A short hop to the pyramids, and I would absolutely stay there again, no questions asked.
