Hotel is OK. Lots of rooms scattered around the grounds. Nice and quiet. The main point of writing this review is to tell people whilst the hotel is OK in itself I would never recommend it - more tell people to steer clear. If you have your own, guaranteed transport it's fine. If you're happy to use their free bus...

We stayed at the Oasis for 3 nights as part of a Kuoni holiday following a 7 night Nile cruise. We were well aware that it's quite a way from the centre of Cairo (only have to look at the website or read the brochure to work that out) but you either choose to be near the pyramids or in...

My wife and I stayed at Oasis Hotel for three nights in mid November 2007 after seeing the hotel's relatively good ratings on this website. It wasn't anywhere near as good as we had hoped. LOCATION A long way from town, further than we had imagined. (maybe 30-45 mins driving) 'Near' the pyramids but too far to walk (9km). Nothing...

We returned from a 10 day Splendid Egypt tour on Oct 1, and while away we stayed 3 nights at the Oasis. The gardens are beautiful, rooms were comfortable, food (especially the Italian restaurant) was quite good (try the Cleopatra sundae - it's to die for), and the pool was very inviting especially since it was 40 degrees one day!...

Like others, I was apprehensive about the Oasis but I need not have been. I was there with a friend and we had a room each - could have saved money by sharing as each room had two double beds, and although we had booked separately they put us in adjacent rooms. The staff were helpful without exception, especialy the...

Stayed in this hotel as a base for visiting central Cairo and, of course the museum and pyramids. Thought the rooms were nice and standard of cleanliness good. Well kept gardens surrounding where the rooms were situated. Thought the food, restaurant and service were good too. There is a free courtesy bus into Cairo at certain times which was helpful....

We stayed three nights four days at the Oasis Hotel. We are residents of Egypt and have been in many hotels here. This was one of our favorite hotels to come to with our young children (3 and 1 1/2 years) along with other family friends who had kids also. We hung out here for 3 nights. By far the...

I really had no strong feelings about this hotel. i did not love it nor did i hate it. It was pretty average. The rooms were average as was the food. I have stayed in egypt before in much better hotels, however, i would like to point out that i have not stayed in cairo before. The advantages of this...

I was a bit worried about staying in this hotel as it is a bit far from central Cairo. I was actually pleased about the distance though as it is located only a 10-15 minute drive to the Pyramids of Giza, and i found central cairo to be nothing special anyway as you can get hassled, and some areas were...
