Lovely Luxor hotel and restaurant on the West Bank, with fabulous views overlooking the River Nile. The perfect base for exploring all what Luxor has to offer. Our guests enjoy the peacefulness of the West Bank with easy access to the East bank. El Mesala Hotel is only few minutes away from the ferry and 1 min to motorboats to the city center, Luxor Temple, Karnak Temple. Close to the fascinating historic sites such as Valley of the Kings, Rameseum, Medinet Habu and others. Most rooms overlooking the Nile, some facing the Theban Hills. Spacious rooms, restaurant, swimming pool.

We stayed here for 3 nights in Jan 2022. The hotel is very well located right across the Nile river on the west bank, the view from the Hotel terrace is amazing and beyond words. The owner was very good at communication and giving us all the info to get there from Aswan. You pay 5egp to go across the Nile to the East bank to Karnak and Luxor temple. Around the hotel, there are lots of affordable places to eat i.e. the ones who dont rip you off. We even went to a medical store to get medicines and the prices were very cheap. The staff there are very helpful and arranged tours for us - 1 day to the east bank for 20$ per person and 1 day to the west bank, again for 20$ per person. This was with a driver and a guide. We were very impressed with the tour and the guides. The breakfast here is very minimal but it is still something, we opted for the Egyptian breakfast. It was OK. A special note of thanks to the hotel, when my son got sick, they gave us an extra room for a very cheap price and did not try to take advantage. My son could order from their restaurant which they would deliver it to him. Great service and hospitality. A note about their restaurant; the food is really high quality and very tasty. The prices are also very affordable and we found that they were the best food in Luxor. The only drawback of this place is that the double rooms have a tiny shower and the water goes all around the toilet area. The first day the water pressure went low and my wife was stuck in the shower. Also when we arrived, they put us 4 in a family in 2 different rooms even though we had booked the family room. This was the only sour ting we had with them but they made it up with everything else. I highly recommend you get the family suite, it has the shower tub and is also very private. We definitely recommend this place for a short stay, we thank you for your helping nature and hospitality.

Stayed for 3 nights in November 2021. What a lovely boutiqud hotel to stay in the West Bank, on the banks of the River Nile. Fabulous views of the Nile from the balcony of the room where you can sit and watch the life goes by on the Nile. The Valley of Kings/Queens is short 15 minutes drive and the hotel will arrange a vehicle with a driver and a guide (if you require) at a very reasonable price. I did obtain the service of a guide to visit the VOK and Dendera and Abydos and was impressed with his knowledge and the quality of service. The rooms and the washrooms are clean, albeit limited space. The rooftop restaurant provides a fantastic virw of the Nile and an ideal pkace to have a meal. The breakfast provided, although being repetitive was adequate. A small swimming pool is in house. The staff are friendly. The hotel arranged the airport pickup and the driver was waiting patiently at around 11.30 p.m for the arrival of our flight. One thing to be aware is the constant noise that is blared from the resorts from the East Bank late into the night. Ofcourse, there is nothing the hotel can do anything about it, but just be aware. Overall, the best hotel to stay at a very reasonable price in the West Bank.

November 2021 my partner and I have decided to leave for Egypt to discover the land of the faraons. we stayed 6 nights in the Mesala Hotel and to say it was a fantastic experience is an understatement! on the roof there is a terrace overlooking the temple of Luxor, very good breakfast è vero morning, very kind and always available staff and a proprietor who immediately proved to be fantastic by helping us on guided tours and always letting us be accompanied by people he trusts. return? absolutely and I'm looking forward to it now! highly recommended. thank you el mesala hotel for this fantastic experience!
